This place is a bit of a conundrum. A beautiful location, nice room, but it just doesn't feel right. The room is good, but lacks any feelings of warmth. It would have been nice to have tea / coffee making in the suite to allow a relaxed time in the room. We had lunch, but we're unaware that there is no a la carte, and you have to opt for a 4, 6 or 8 course extravaganza, with limited choice, leading to being uncomfortable for the rest of the day. Staff in reception seemed uncommunicative and had an air of a funeral parlour. Maybe that impresses foodies, but for real people some reality would help. Breakfast was OK, but the Ukrainian refugee waitress reminded me of the Manuel dialogues in Fawlty Towers. Financial housekeeping was a bit slack, and we were nearly charged for someone's bar bill from the terrace who had signed it to our room. Expensive, and sadly, I can't put my finger on it but I'd doesn't add up!
