Ulasan Atrion Resort Hotel

Lovely clean modern hotel. Just across road from long sandy beach. Listed as 3* in brochure but recently gained 4* status and rightly so. Modern bathroom with seperate walk in shower. Rooms cleaned every day except Sunday. We had a late flight arriving at hotel after 1.30am but were still shown to our room and there was a bag of food each for us. Nespresso coffee machine in room with 2 pods per day given. Staff friendly and helpful. Katerina on reception gave us good info on buses and Chania town also providing a map. Theodora on reception very helpful on our last day and with a night flight. Towels provided free of charge and two shower cabins so we could freshen up before we left. Dining room was calm and tables cleared and cleaned regularly. Stephi kept a close watch on making sure food was replenished. Food was plentiful and though not to my taste on some nights the family always enjoyed the choice. Only niggle was it could have been hotter. Sunbed snatchers were in force from 6.45am some mornings! I can't understand why hotels have rules that they don't enforce. Fortunately we aren't pool hoggers and managed to get a bed around 5.30pm for our end of the day swim. Overall a good choice for families or couples providing various accomodation choices. The fun train which runs through the resort offers good trips at around 22€ per person for 3hrs. We did the German cemetery, beer tasting and hillside villages. Well run from little kiosks on main road. Wished we'd done a couple more. The beaches are mainly privately owned by small taverns. However for around 6€ to 10€ for 2beds and a sunshade you have access to the restaurant, toilets, shower and changing cabin with waiter service for food and drink on the beach. Nireus was our favourite- a family run place with lovely welcoming friendly staff and delicious food.

Overall was very happy with our stay in the Atrion, lovely room, and plenty of space, and a nice view of the resort and pool, bed was comfortable, the bathroom was in need of some TLC Room 215. Breakfast was fine if a little bit samish everyday and it would have been nice if there had been a chef to cook you the eggs of your choice. Their should be a separate facility to access hot water for tea, it was frustrating to have the to access the hot water from the coffee machine, the queues used to quite long in the morning,most mornings I gave up and just had a fruit juice. It would also be nice if there was a courtesy bottle of water left in the fridge for travellers who arrive in the early hours of the morning, did not find out until next day that there was a vending machine in the reception area. We booked a 3* accommodation in good faith through Jet 2, when coming to pay our tourist tax which we estimated for a 14 night stay to be 42 euros, we were instead presented with a charge of 98 euros which is 4* this is over double the amount. I would not have minded the charge if we had booked 4 star but we didn’t and this I feel needs to be urgently clarified with the travel companies so people are aware of this extra cost they will probably not be aware of.

We had the best time in this hotel. Perfectly situated to local tavernas and shops and supermarkets. The rooms are excellent and the staff very helpful. Susan at reception gave us a number of recommendations on local things to do and is very nice and helpful. The staff around the pool are really great too. We had B & B. Breakfast was fantastic value with so much variety. I have seen some reviews whereby it says it doesn’t change but to be honest it doesn’t need changing there is so much variety on offer.

-Good and quite calm location, everything is close -Friendly staff -Nice meals on the pool bar at this price point -Clean public areas -Not any big complains or problems We stayed for two weeks and the breakfast could have had more variaton on the options. Queues for coffee got long some times (~5mins). Wifi was around 5-10mbp/s so not the fastest but got the job done. Overall for 3-star hotel we had quite a nice stay! Note: website says that superior rooms have windows to pool or garden, but we had a room to the street, luckily not the main road.

Absolutely superb hotel and perfect for a week of rest and relaxation at the end of the season. Hotel was spotless, staff friendly and helpful and the pool area big enough for everyone to have a sunbed!! The hotel was perfectly positioned for the beach, some great restaurants and the bus into Chania. This was my first visit to Crete and I've already booked for next year!!

Just returned from our second stay at this lovely hotel. We had an interconnecting room in the main building over the side road but we were not disturbed at all by traffic noises. The beds are comfortable and rooms spotless. Pool area clean and well maintained as are the gardens. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. Breakfast is served in the restaurant area next to the garden, there is a wide selection on offer, 3 types of eggs, cereals, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses and so on. Something for everyone. This is a wonderful hotel, you won't be disappointed!

Superbly clean and modern rooms in a central position. Close to the beach and numerous good restaurants.A very nice breakfast also included. I cannot really fault this place. The staff are always cleaning and tidying. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. We mainly used the tavernas up the hill. Although this is the end of the season. Some were closing. Hired a car from enterprise down the road to see some of the island. Not sure i would want to be here in the height of summer but this is a nice late break for us. Thanks Atrion 🥰

Super Hotel - Friendly and professional staff. Rooms are perfect and spotlessly clean with a much needed coffee machine, safe and aircon. Pool is delightful and also spotlessly clean. Breakfast buffet was spot on, loads of choice with hot, fresh local and European choices - would highly recommend. Thank you

We stayed at the Atrion in July 24 and we loved the hotel. Fantastic location, so close to the beach, the shops, restaurants bars etc. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy, the staff were incredible and couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was on the smaller side but perfect for the two of us, we do not often spend very long in our hotel as we’re out exploring! The breakfast was lovely, plenty of options of hot and cold foods. We thought the location was perfect. Definitely try both directions as you come out the hotel. If you take a left there are many beautiful restaurants up the hills and also right onto the Main Street, lots of shops and restaurants also. Would definitely come back to the Atrion.

Great hotel in the perfect location for the beach & some excellent restaurants up the small hill in the old village area. The reception staff are very welcoming, the housekeeping ladies are lovely and work hard to ensure everything is spotless. We only went for breakfast once during our stay, it was very busy but there was lots of choice. The pool area gets busy, even when we were there in October & one side is quite shaded so if you're a sun worshipper you need to be down there promptly to get a sun bed. I think a great plus point for the pool & bar area is Elena & her colleagues, Elena in particular is very friendly and brings a good vibe to the days around the pool.

We last stayed at the Atrion in 2014 and there have been upgrades since then which is to be expected now they have a 4 star rating. Lovely friendly reception upon arrival and allocated room 308 which was in fact at the top of 16 concrete steps and a bit of a task to get our cases up but our kind receptionist actually took them up for us which was really nice and appreciated. We had booked a superior room with a pool view. It was a bit on the small side to be honest but very clean and comfortable. We would have appreciated a bottle of water in our fridge though after a long journey.Our room lady was excellent and made sure we had an enjoyable stay. We also found that the reception staff were helpful and friendly which is important to us as in some hotels this is not the case these days. Breakfasts suited us with a range of fresh fruit each day and a good selection of hot and cold food. Once again experienced helpful staff when needed. We usually visited the pool around 4pm for a good swim in the large pool which we really enjoyed after a day out. Sun beds at that time of day were of course always available. This hotel is a stones throw from the beach which offers good swimming and walking. Some really good standard restaurants locally especially Olivi, Rustico and Casa Di Mare. Bus stop very convenient for getting around for a couple of euros and supermarkets on the doorstep. All in all a nice holiday experience before we moved on to Rethymnon for a further two weeks. Already made our minds up to return in 2025 as we felt The Atrion offered good value for money.

Strong recommendation for Atrion Resort Hotel. We have visited there twice and would definitely go again. The location of the hotel is great, close to the best sandy beach of Agia Marina and several great restaurants. The staff and service are wonderful both at breakfast, at the reception and at the pool bar. The outside areas of the hotel are really clean, as are the rooms. There is also a bus stop right near the hotel, from where you can easily get to Hania. There are also several small shops and souvenir shops nearby.

The location of this hotel is perfect, a 5 minute walk to the beach which is great, also lots of lovely restaurants to choose from. Overall the hotel is Ideal, our room was very spacious and had a perfect view of the pool and the island Theodorou. The only thing we noticed was that the shower area wasn't the cleanest but apart from that everything else was perfect. Cleaning and towel changing was done every other day. Breakfast was average, the same food every day but that didn't bother us, we would recommend going to breakfast early as it can get crowded. One problem that kept occurring was the coffee machine as it needs changing every 10 mins and tends to break daily, I asked a member of staff one day if they could help and received a rude response from him. The pool area is slightly over crowded with sun beds, as we went towards the end of August there wasn't a problem us getting one.The pool bar has a cold atmosphere ,not many staff worked it only seemed to be Elena who would walk around the pool area being disruptive. On our second day I went to the Pool Bar to purchase a drink for me and my partner, when I walked in Elena muttered something in Greek and the lady behind the bar seemed scared, when I asked for a beer she said I had to wait for Elena which I didnt mind in doing so.When Elena came back in she said very loudly "When I walk past your sun bed you tell me what you want, don't come in here, there is only me and it is easier for me okay?" I just agreed and felt very deflated and embarrassed that I had been spoken to so abruptly. She insisted on bringing my drinks to my sun bed when she did 20 minutes later she proceeded to have a slight go at me. Later on that day my partner asked her for a drink, she responded with "WHAT ?" and then forgot his drink which resulted in him waiting 45 minutes. We didn't feel comfortable asking for drinks and we found she wasn't around the pool area for a long periods of time.We did'nt tell the other staff as we knew this would cause an affect on her attitude towards us for the rest of ur holiday as we already felt she didnt like us anyway with how she responded to us when we spoke to her. I think they need more atmosphere around the pool and more staff. I overheard Elena say she hadn't had one day of for 5 months, no wonder she acts the way she does, as she is clearly over worked.We would like to say that Susan from reception was amazing and attentive, she made our experience so much better, thank you for all your help and would like to mention our cleaner was also so lovely.

This place is amazing. The food selection for breakfast and dinner was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful in the reception. The hotel has an amazing pool however only one area would have the sunshine. I would like to thank the vegan fresh food made for me daily and the quality and taste of the dishes had me going up for 2 plates. I would also like to thank Anna eho always had a lovely happy friendly Outlook who always so accomodating to give me some soya milk for porridge oats. The rooms could do with some hooks as not enough areas when 3 in a room. The cleaners did a grand job of keeping the hotel room clean and tidy.
