Nice hotel located on the entire hill but there are 2 lifts and buggy service, very good breakfast , nice private beach ( you need to use a lift to go down and cross a road , not many cars ) . Standard rooms are not big but nice and clean and not very high so access is easy to the beach and breakfast and to the pool area

Overall a great experience! Very friendly staff, beautiful views and the breakfast is a real treat.

I have read several reviews regarding mobility due to the hotel being on the hill, please please don't let this put you off. I wear a prosthetic leg and had no issues at all, the buggies would pick us up within minutes of calling and take us to where we wanted to go. Nothing was too much trouble and we could call at any time. All the areas are non slip, and on each teir mostly everything is on the flat. We had a rooom with private pool on the top of the hotel, it was very spacious with very comfortable beds and walk in shower which i would recomend. We took a boat trip over to Spinalonga from Plaka which was great, and they did cater for the disabled. The staff working there made our holiday complete, nothing was too much trouble and they were so kind to us and my father. When I initally booked the holiday I emailed Stephania in reservations , she arranged for non slip mats to be put in the shower, my dad to be in the next room to us along with recomendations for when we were staying in Crete. We visited Elounda as a coupleat the end of the season and it was the perfect timing for us. The weather was excellent and one of the biggest advantages was that the hotel was not at all crowded at this time of the year. We were able to fully enjoy the amazing views and the almost empty pool and beach. When it comes to this hotel in particular, a few elements stood out. The location of the hotel is perfect and the views are stunning. All of the rooms have a view on the bay. The room had a balcony, it was spacious and very clean. The bathroom came with a huge bathtub and was fully equipped. We absolutely loved their toiletries. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the're doing everything to make their guests feel comfortable. While it is already the case in a lot of hotels for the extra services to be expensive, it seems that this is the main business model at this particular hotel. Expect significant expenses on top of what you already payed for your booking but the overall value it's pretty fair nonetheless. We enjoyed our holiday and wouldn't hesitate to go back next time we're in Elounda.

The photos really don’t do this hotel justice. It’s beautiful with its own private beach. We stayed for a week at the end of the season and had the most amazing time. The hotel is clean, bright and welcoming. The restaurant staff are brilliant and the food excellent. Although the hotel is built into the hillside, there are 3 lifts and golf type buggies to get about on as it’s very steep in places. We used the gym a lot and it’s very well equipped, clean and air conditioned. The beach is great with a restaurant/cafe and bar. The staff there (especially Marianna and Chris) are brilliant. We also hired one of the boats a couple of times to sail around the bay. Also walked into Elounda which takes about 20/25 minutes at a stroll. Take care in places though as there aren’t any paths. All in all we’re definitely going back and probably in October again. Brilliant!

We booked this holiday through ‘On the Beach’ early in the year, it was a ‘stick a pin in the map’ booking so I didn’t do much research until nearer departure. The hotel is just over an hour’s car drive from the airport, we were told in the booking blurb that it would be an hour and a half transfer, it ended up being well over two hours as the coach had to take a tortuous route dropping off at other hotels and Marmin was the last one. The coach drops you off at the bottom of the (very steep) hill. If there is a security guard there they will radio for a buggy to collect you. If not, as in our case, there is no obvious way to contact reception and you either walk up (not recommended) or find the lift and elevator to take you there ( having a partner who hates heights, the second part brought on a panic attack). Check-in was fairly painless, and a buggy finally delivered us and our luggage to our room. First impressions were good, typical 5 star for the Med. everything white marble (even the furniture units) and clean. Fantastic views over the bay, all rooms appeared to have the same view at various levels. Massive, very comfortable, beds. The loo had the usual ‘no paper’ rule but had the older external hose rather than the built-in spray, which takes a few attempts to master without flooding the bathroom. A mini bar with the usual over-priced contents, hair dryer, slippers, bathrobe, shoe kit, safe, variety of lotions, soap, toothbrush and shaving kits etc. One thing to note is that there are no USB charging sockets, you need your own adapter. We brought our own but I suspect if you ask reception they would have found one from somewhere. Wi-Fi was included, easy to set up and fairly fast in all areas. This is the first hotel I’ve come across that does not include complementary tea/coffee-making facilities. There is a machine that takes coffee pods at €1.50 a go, two pods were supplied for free along with a bottle of decent local red wine and a bottle of mineral water. We asked for, and were given, a kettle and teabags, also €1.50 each, first couple free. Luckily they didn’t bother supplying them after the first day and we bought our own from a local shop at 1/10th of the cost. Still no milk though, even for the coffee. Room service does not start until 7am so if you want an early morning proper cuppa, tough. We were in a bed and breakfast deal as we prefer to sample local tavernas. Breakfast is very good, catering for just about any tastes, we avoided the baked beans though. On the first night we decided to go for the evening meal. It is a €30 a head buffet and the quality and variety is pretty good, however for guests like us, with small to average appetites, then it is possibly too much, we only had it once more when we were exhausted after a long day. Such a lovely hotel, fantastic views, staff were fantastic both in the hotel and on the beach…Costas & the lovely girl who works with him (sorry forgotten your name) were exceptional along with Reggie & the other lovely girl who worked alongside (a libran like me!) …hotel is steep but buggies available should you need them. A really good gym too. Food was good but buffet food could be hotter and drinks were pricey. Would definitely visit again, thank you 😊

We booked this hotel for 2 weeks and end up staying for a month. The location is perfect and the view is wonderfull. The staff is exceptional. We went already to this hotel 3 times and will go back next year for sure! Best hotel in Crete!
