Cheerfulway Minichoro Apartamentos

When we landed to the reception to check in, there was no record of my booking even on there system although I had already payed in full. Eventually after about half an hour we were given a key to our room. When we approached we noticed there was a big hole in the door and marks from a bar around the door so it was obvious it was broken into before, when we went into the room the room hadn’t been cleaned there was sand all over the floor , toys on the bed. We went back down to reception and we were given another room. In our new room there was also a hole in the door and obvious signs from the door frame that it had been broken into before. Room was a bit cleaner but still a dirty feel about it . My boyfriend was looking for a plug beside the bed to plug a charger into , he pulled the bed out from the wall and felt with his hands and he was absolutely lifted with an electrical shock !!! There was a live wire hanging out of the wall with no socket and our bed was up against it !!! We stuffed the hole in the door with paper and majority mornings we woke up the paper was gone from the hole , we had one towel each we asked for fresh towels and we wer told we wernt allowed any until day 3. Really would not recommend this place very bad vibes the anxiety was through the roof the hole stay

Spent 5 nights here with 5 of my friends not really having any high expectations due to the bad reviews but we were all so pleased. Room was spotless on arrival and was absolutely huge and even had 2 bathrooms. Pool area was nice although a lot of the sunbeds were broken. The staff on reception were lovely and very helpful also. A 5 minute uber ride from old and new town which cost less than 3 euro a go. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

my friend and i stayed there for the whole week, i really dont see why theres so many negative reviews? and to say this place should shut down is ridiculous and dramatic! you get what you pay for. Maybe it’s because we both didnt grow up in a castle and sleeping on money lol so we actually both thought this place was good enough to stay in. We will definitely be back, we havent got a bad thing to say👍🏻 all these people are clearly hard to please, next time pay extra money and stay somewhere luxurious if thats what your after. thank you for our experience we loved it

Room 507 walked in around the lock could see though it in kitchen plug hanging off the wall then burnt plug went down everyday told them took 4 days to get sorted everyday all thy did was empty the bins never had a cleaner asked and then when I saw the cleaner the day before we left asked them sweep mop clean bath etc all thy did was mop the floor left it in pile near the door had to ask everyday for clean towels and bedding stained mattresses disgusting then to top all this up had cockroach’s on the 5th floor in room would you like me to carry on never ever stay there wants knocking down rebuilding Pool area filthy never cleaned it up in pool steps hanging off and tiles missing all over Please never ever stay there best part about this hotel is the men reception people polite and tried to sort things out which took 4 days etc etc in all place absolutely disgusting never stay there

Went for a short break with my wife. This is not a 3 star,I would suggest maybe not even a 2 star.We arrived at night and check in was fine to be fair, the room was dated but O.K, in the morning we looked out from the balcony and were overlooking a derelict waterpark. The pool are was the biggest dissapointment, very dirty and not policed. Fag butts everywhere,rubbish,broken loungers,bird mess on the tables,no umbrellas,people eating and drinking in the pool. There were aggresive Irish people arguing round the pool and acting apallingly, I am so glad I didn't have my children with me. I would not recomend this place and would not stay here again.

Had 2 ground floor apartments booked. when we arrived the entrance looked shabby with towels on the roof that looked liked they’d been there ages. When we went to check in we were told we might have to be moved and to come back at 4 pm. Arrived back just shortly after 4 pm to be told we were been moved to there other hotel (shack) I would recommend to stand clear of all cheefulway accommodation because there’s nothing cheerful about them
