Ona Garden Lago

Far from Palma, which meant an expensive taxi when we wanted to go there. We used the local bus to get around town as the hotel is not near much. Maybe should have rented a car. There was a grocery store and a few restaurants within walking distance. The restaurant onsite, at the time we visited, was not fully functioning. Limited times and menu offerings. The beach was a short bus ride away. The rooms were okay. Missing needed kitchen items we had to ask the front desk to provide. The biggest issue was that when the air conditioning was running inside, the exhaust from it went to the patio which pumped hot air onto anyone who wanted to sit there.

Lovely hotel but a lack of atmosphere. There is no entertainment for the kids even though it is confirmed by email there would be. Pool opens 11am to 7pm, I felt it was a late start. Bar closes early. I felt its more suited to couples or adults Not families. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms very spacious. Nice for a quiet relaxing holiday.

Booked to stay here for 2 nights sat there and checked out yesterday. When we arrived at 11.30 we were advised room wouldn't be ready until 4pm. Thought this was abit of a let down. We had to leave all of are luggage in the luggage room. Was then advised we had to do all the cleaning before we left dishes take out rubbish etc or pay £150 cleaning fee. Got room at 4pm and apartment was lovely. We stayed bed and breakfast. Food not the best not much there so wouldn't waste money on that. Pool area not like pics was small but was relaxing. When I checked my case after my cigarettes were missing 200!!someone clearly stole them from luggage room!! I advised hotel who told me they have no camera In that room and that was it!!!!fuming!!I assumed luggage rooms would have a camera. So because of this will def not return and just to advise others don't leave anything valuable in there or lock case up. Luckily I had money and passports on me!!!

I don't usually write reviews, but after a week here i felt i should do to let people know the truth about this accommodation. First off il give the good points, location is perfect within a short walk to the main ***** & a mile from the beach, there is an excellent supermarket within a 5 min walk from the property. The room are very spacious & modern. Now to the bad points. The rooms are fine size & modern but on arrival we were informed that the room would only be clean once during our 1 week stay, we arrived Saturday & they cleaned on Wednesday, when we asked during the week for some loo roll the cleaner informed my wife it would be €4, instead i bought at the local market for €1.45. When checking in the receptionist told us there was a full Ala carte menu available, this is not true, the restaurant does a buffet breakfast @ €14 ahead, we were half board so this was included, went down for breakfast on 2 mornings, i certainly wouldn't pay €14 for what was available, it also does evening meal buffet @€21 a head which we never sampled. They did on the odd day give us a choice of two pizzas at lunch time which at €12 each was not worth it.The bar doesn't open till 12.30pm so don't expect access to soft drinks or ice creams for the kids till then. The pictures of the pool on the website are also misleading as the pool is now much smaller & the bridge in the pics has been dismantled. The pool times are 11am - 7am, which is quite late start to be honest I wont be returning to this Accommodation, as i fell for the money i paid for this was simply not worth it

Overall was OK, Good points.. Location ideal, 5-10 min walk to Alcudia beach. Entertainment staff worked really hard in 35 degree heat, really impressive considering conditions. Apartments were spacious, fully equipped, beds comfortable. Bad points... Food was really poor, breakfast buffet was cold even when buffet had just began, lacked any variety from day to day, seemed like very little effort went into the catering side, to the extent where we would rather have paid for better breakfasts elsewhere than try to stomach the hot food on offer. Fruit juice tasted like sugar water/squash and was undrinkable. Bathroom in apartment was dirty, big apartments so maybe more cleaners needed in my opinion. In general, public areas a bit tatty, posters stuck to windows with sellotape, just a bit run down in general. Swimming pool had tiles missing, glass panels missing and taped up, bit scruffy looking. Overall Staff were very good, hotel OK, just looks like the owners have either lost interest or don't have the funds to renovate and put the necessary investment required in to the resort which is a shame as everything is in place in terms of logistics, staff, size and space to be much better. Really good stay Coming here for many years and noticed a big improvement in the entertainment around the pool Good to have music, singers and activities for all Adds a bit of life to the place Staff always smiling and helpful as ever Clean and tidy and cleaned regularly Pool needs an overhaul but still fine Only pain was getting a taxi but that’s not the hotels fault! Overall would definitely recommend and a big thanks to all the staff involved
