Stayed at the Legendale Hotel at the end of 2025. The lobby had a strong Christmas atmosphere, and many people came to take photos, making it a bit crowded. There were also many hotel guests. The rooms felt a bit dated but were fully equipped, and the service was warm and attentive. Every time I stay, I enjoy walking in the corridor outside my room; I really like this atrium-style design. Another reason I choose to stay at the Legendale Hotel is its close proximity to Peking Union Medical College Hospital, which is within walking distance, making it very convenient for medical check-ups.

From 2014 to 2019, I spent six-weeks each summer teaching in Beijing, and over that time, the Boyue Beijing Hotel has served as nothing less than a home away from home for me. It is exactly its friendly embrace and easy elegance that distinguishes the Boyue from Beijing’s larger, higher-profile hotels. Still, after a six-year absence caused by the pandemic, I was concerned that I might find a far less welcoming version of the place I had truly come to love. It was a relief to see that Liu Baojun was still out front and that Lisa was still at the head of the dining room, but so many others who had made my stays at the Boyue so unforgettable had moved on. However, no sooner than I checked in, my worries began to vanish completely. That’s when I first met three extraordinary new staff members—Jiaqi, Yonah , and their supervisor Anais—who demonstrated again and again that hospitality was still the heart and soul of coming to stay at this Chaoyang institution. Through the hard work of such talented and committed professionals as these three, the Boyue not only continues to check all the boxes that one expects to find at the highest levels of the hospitality industry—comfort, attentiveness, fine dining, and first-rate facilities—but I am also convinced that in the years since the pandemic, it has actually surpassed its own considerable track record of excellence. Thank you, one and all, for making my latest visit such an absolute pleasure!

The room attendant cleaned promptly, and there was a dedicated person in the lobby to operate the elevators. The gym and pool staff were friendly and welcoming. The deluxe view room, facing due east and located on floors 25 and above, is part of the executive level, offering panoramic views of the East Third Ring Road. In the mornings, you can gaze at the 'fog city' (referring to Beijing's occasional haze), and at night, admire the iconic illuminated landmarks. The nearby multi-story PwC building, lit 24/7, evoked many similar memories for me. The pool facilities were also excellent – a truly worthwhile experience!

The hotel is located in the heart of Beijing, near the embassy district, making it convenient for getting around yet surprisingly quiet. Compared to other five-star hotels, Chang Fu Gong offers exceptional value for money. When I booked, I just thought the price was very reasonable for a holiday period, and I was a bit hesitant about the facilities and service. However, my experience after checking in was absolutely amazing. From the doorman to the front desk staff and the lobby manager, every employee consistently maintained a natural and polite smile. It felt genuine and very comfortable. They even offered complimentary snacks during my stay. Despite being in the city center, the hotel has a spacious parking lot, which is very convenient for those driving. The hotel lobby isn't opulent, but it feels incredibly welcoming, perfect for small families. The four elevators operate very efficiently. From the elevators to the guest rooms, the hallway carpets were spotless, which deserves special praise 👍 – it's rare to see an older hotel maintain such cleanliness. Our room wasn't huge, but beyond the standard amenities, several key aspects stood out: the bathroom was very spacious with a comfortable shower, and the toilet was electronically controlled, which is lovely in winter. The room's cabinets had many compartments, perfect for families like ours with lots of small items to organize. In short, the hotel pays great attention to detail. Unfortunately, due to limited time, we couldn't stay longer to experience other hotel services and facilities, including dining. We will definitely choose Chang Fu Gong again when we visit Beijing.

While checking in, I happened to see flight attendants from a certain West Asian airline also checking in, which clearly shows it's a hotel catering to international guests. The hotel facilities are well-maintained. My room had floor-to-ceiling windows facing the 3rd Ring Road, which I really liked as it offered a panoramic view of Beijing's bustling cityscape. The breakfast was rich and varied, even including local Beijing snacks.

Let me give an honest review; this hotel far exceeded my expectations and is a great place that's unfortunately been held back by some unfair negative reviews. The location is absolutely unbeatable, connected to INDIGO mall and right next to the Lido business district, making dining, entertainment, and shopping incredibly convenient. While some of the facilities are a bit dated, and the appliances are indeed a bit small, these are minor issues that don't detract from the overall experience. It even brings back a nostalgic feeling of The Opposite House, which is quite nice. This time, I booked a room with executive lounge access. The executive floor staff were exceptionally friendly, providing meticulous service. The lounge's food and beverage offerings, though limited, were of high quality. I had dinner with friends outside, so I didn't experience the happy hour, but I'll definitely try it next time if I get the chance. Parking, while chargeable, allows for multiple ticket reissues, and the front desk's reminders were comprehensive. I'm really looking forward to seeing its overall performance once it's upgraded to Taikoo Place!

My two other colleagues, however, both received room upgrades with garden views and sunlight – I'm so envious! **Facilities:** Having a washing machine was a huge help, but it would be even better if laundry detergent could be provided before check-in, saving us from having to ask the front desk last minute. **Complimentary AI Health Butler:** I don't know where this was, I didn't experience it. It seems like a pointless product!

The room itself is quite spacious, and I loved the color scheme. The bathroom is a bit on the small side, but it's still perfectly functional, and the hairdryer is surprisingly powerful!

The location is absolutely fantastic, super close to the Forbidden City, Wangfujing, and Tiananmen Square. The auntie on the third floor was exceptionally kind and warm. The front desk lady was also wonderful; she helped carry my luggage to the room and even walked me to the door when I left. The room has a Bluetooth speaker with excellent sound quality. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Beijing. The Zhajiangmian at the restaurant was quite tasty, and they even provided complimentary fruit in the room. Siji Minfu and Baye Shuanrou are both nearby and delicious.

As a mother traveling to Beijing with my child, I chose the Park Plaza, which had great reviews. And it definitely didn't disappoint. 1) The location is excellent. It's very close to Subway Line 8 (900 meters) and Line 5 (250 meters). Yet, it's not directly on a main road, so it's very quiet. 2) The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. 3) Most importantly, the service was fantastic; everyone was very welcoming and enthusiastic, especially Feya and Wendy! My child and I were both very happy. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a suite. This meant I could work peacefully in the living room while my child slept in the bedroom at night. 4) The hotel also offers a buffet lunch and dinner for 68.8 RMB per person, and 48.8 RMB for children. This is incredibly good value for money. They have main courses, drinks, fruits, and more… Highly recommended! 5) The only minor drawback was… the hairdryer was an old model, which can take a while if you have thick hair. Other than that, everything was superb, and I would definitely stay here again!

This year I'll be coming to Beijing often for work. I feel I got lucky choosing LiveFortuna Hotel the first time. The staff is always kind and professional - checking in and out is always so efficient. The room - more like loft apartment - is a quiet oasis that I get to call home after a long day of work. It's clean, has comfortable bed and pillows, nice shower with plenty of hot water (important in the winter), a kitchen with utensils, purified water system, fridge, and front loading washing machine. I've stayed here at the height of the hot summer and the coldest of winter days - the temp AC and heating systems work great and are easily controlled by the guest (I really appreciate that little detail). The buffet breakfast is excellent and varied- opens at 6:30 am (thank you). Plenty of food options in the neighborhood. If you are elderly or have mobility issues, the loft bedroom might not be for you. Otherwise - I highly recommend this hotel.

And yes they do accept foreigners

The quadrangle courtyard has a very strong positive vibe, and the scenery is beautiful. The Ming and Qing dynasty architecture really captures the essence of old Beijing. What I liked most was the private butler, Danika, who provided thoughtful service; even the kids loved her. Breakfast can be delivered to the room, which was an absolute treat. The room was spacious, giving the children plenty of room to play, and they could also enjoy the courtyard. Danika helped us with our luggage and thoughtfully prepared sun hats for the children, which were incredibly practical. Five-star recommendation!!!

Right from the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm service and complimentary tea, a true ray of sunshine on a cold winter's day. The room was simply yet warmly decorated, and the bare cotton bedding felt wonderfully soft and breathable against my skin. The deep sleep pillow was a lifesaver for my insomnia! Every nook and cranny was spotless, and the smart toilet was incredibly convenient to use. For breakfast, I enjoyed local specialties, and there was even comforting congee available late at night. Before I checked out, the front desk thoughtfully inquired about my travel plans and gave me a souvenir. The location of this hotel is excellent! It is very close to the Forbidden City and you don’t have to go through the security check for Tiananmen area. While it is in the heart of the city, the neighborhood is very quiet. The room is clean albeit not new. The staff is very friendly. I like the terrace a lot. It is very likely that I will stay here again.
