Yurtshire

Myself, my husband and our two dogs stayed in one of the tree yurts for 4 nights and it was absolutely lovely. Sophie was amazing, and couldn’t have been more helpful. The Yurts are beautiful inside, super cosy, and it’s lovely spending time outside on the deck with a bbq or relaxing in the hot tub. There’s access to a wood fired sauna and cold plunge, as well as paddle boards for the lake. We’ll definitely be back, and hope to make it a regular annual trip!

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 3 children. The yurt was very well equipped and plenty big enough for the 5 of us. Excellent facilities and very cosy and comfortable. The area is beautiful and the yurts are well spaced out so that they are completely private. The children loved the hot tub and chopping the wood for the burner. We hired a pizza oven for the first night which was fantastic. The only downside was the shower was very cold. It did say the water was 23 degrees but was very cold. This was not an issue though and didn’t effect our stay at all. Would definitely return for another stay and have already recommended to family and friends.

Absolutely loved out Yurt, we stayed in ‘Hazel’ and it didn’t disappoint. We had everything we needed as a couple. Warm, welcoming and staff were helpful. ‘Hazel’ had a great fire pit area, sitting/eating area and the log burner hot tub was fantastic. Great on a night once it’s dark. Perfect place for relaxing, will definitely be coming back.

Lovely little hobbit home perfect for a chilled few days. Loved cutting the wood up to keep the hot tub warm and the yurt. Cosy on a night and the bed was comfy. Woke up to pheasants at the door in the morning. Would definitely go again

Just returned from a four day stay, and our first in a yurt. The team at Yurtshire are all so welcoming and friendly. The spacing between each yurt means you can't hear your neighbours, other than splitting logs for the hot tub. You can hear the wildlife although there is some road noise, but that didn't spoil our experience. The yurt is well equipped and comfortable and has everything you need, the cool box worked well and we cooked outside on the BBQ and even cooked some part baked bread in the back of the hot tub log burner. Evenings spent looking at the stars from the hot tub, total relaxation.

Stayed for one night at the fountains with our children, we were lucky with the weather and it stayed dry for our stay which was fortunate as there is no outdoor shelter even over the eating area which is a shame. Very dark outside which is nice for some but this would be better if lit up in the evening even a few fairy lights or lantern for the table so you can sit out and relax and stay dry! Out door seating dirty and very uncomfortable. Waterproof cushions or a few blankets would have been a nice addition. Was expecting a bit more really- have stayed in cheaper local yurt/ glamping sites which I feel were more value for money though this was nice enough for one night and the internal decor was lovely. Shower facilities ok. Toilet clean enough. Decor was beautiful inside the yurt and bed very comfortable. Given enough bedding and towels hot tub was great and was pre lit on arrival. Pizza oven was a great addition and worth it but again only if dry as no outdoor shelter. Not enough cutlery or plates given and these were dirty on our arrival. A few of the solar lights outside were not working which was a shame. Not sure we would visit again but had a good stay and the kids loved it. Beautiful local area. If little things were improved it could be really special. We have been to Cheaper local glamming stays which were much better but we are glad we experienced it. Only Given a very small basket of logs any additional is chargeable per bag so make sure to bring enough!

Loved it. A perfect and hassle free way to introduce the kids to Glamping and getting them off screens and outdoors, chopping wood and basically mucking in. Hot tub spot on, pre heating highly recommend, and we sat and had a free show as we watched an owl hunt. Do take a decent torch (the solar lighting wasn't the best) and the marshmallows for a great family break with great local places to visit on your doorstep. We will def be back!

We stayed at Yurtshire as a couple in August and couldn't recommend it enough! Tucked away in the scenic Yorkshire dales it's the perfect escape from city life. The Yurts are rustic and cosy and supplied with everything you need for a getaway in the countryside. Our personal highlight was of course the hot tub, there's nothing better than sitting in the tub watching the sunset with a glass of wine. You can contact the Yurtshire team and ask them to prepare the hot tub for you so it's nice and heated prior to arrival. There's plenty of walking options around and we would also highly recommend Fountains Abbey which is located about a 40-minute walk away from Yurtshire. We will be back for sure!

Very enjoyable experience. One minor problem sorted quickly. Sitting in hot tub and Yurt whilst raining was very relaxing. Make sure you walk down to the lake, a lovely secluded spot to spend an hour.
