Good place for a small family stay

Alicante is such a beautiful city. Unfortunately we chose to stay in Alicante Hills apt. We don’t recommend this place at all. They do not have basic supplies in the kitchen neither the rooms. The kitchen equipment wasn’t enough for the three of us. We found only two cups, one broken pot and a large frying pan. Not cutting board and basic equipment to cook even to make breakfast. No coffee maker or kettle. The doors of the rooms need maintenance. One of the doors had terrible noise when opening and closing (not fun at midnight) no hangers in the closets. Poor cleaning in general.

Location is terrible, you can walk down the hill to get a bus into Alicante Town but no idea if there is a bus going back from the town, I certainly couldn't find it. Taxi back from town is around €10. There is literally no shops, restaurants, bars around the hotel area, so your only option is getting the bus to stock up on essentials and taxi back. They charge €100 deposit, even though amenities are extremely minimal, two forks, two knives and two spoons. No kettle or toaster. Vending machines are a total rip off, €2.50 for a can of coke. Don't even bother with the "Hotel bar/café) food is bland and poorly made. The only positive is plenty of space in apartment and free WiFi. The swimming pool is a decent size, however it is freezing cold, the jacuzzi is also freezing cold, so not enjoyable to relax in.I would definitely not return to this hotel/apartment. Cheap prices but you 9ay loads in taxi fayre, do yourself a favour and pay a little extra for a nicer place to stay and near to Alicante town.
