Jika anda tertanya-tanya “Adakah rakyat Malaysia memerlukan visa untuk melancong ke Australia?”, anda berada di tempat yang betul. Dalam panduan ini, saya akan berkongsi pilihan visa yang tersedia, anggaran kos, tempoh pemprosesan, serta langkah-langkah memohon visa berdasarkan pengalaman saya sendiri.
Adakah Rakyat Malaysia Memerlukan Visa untuk Melawat Australia?
Ya, bagi warganegara Malaysia perlu visa untuk melawat Australia. Untuk lawatan singkat (pelancongan/perniagaan ≤3 bulan setiap masuk), pilihan biasa ialah:
- Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) – Subclass 601
- Mohon melalui aplikasi “Australian ETA” sahaja.
- Caj perkhidmatan sekitar AUD $20. ( Caj perkhidmatan tidak boleh dikembalikan)
- Sah hingga 12 bulan (kemasukan berganda), maksimum 3 bulan setiap lawatan.

🗂️ Jenis Visa untuk Rakyat Malaysia Melancong ke Australia
Berikut jenis visa/permit paling relevan untuk rakyat Malaysia yang mahu melancong (atau lawatan ringkas) ke Australia:
Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) – Subkelas 601
- Untuk lawatan pelancongan atau perniagaan jangka pendek.
- Mohon hanya melalui aplikasi mudah alih “Australian ETA” (Android/iOS).
- Sah sehingga 12 bulan, membenarkan kemasukan berulang, maksimum 3 bulan setiap masuk.
- Terdapat caj perkhidmatan ~AUD 20 bagi permohonan melalui aplikasi.
Peraturan Penting
- Tidak dibenarkan bekerja atau menerima bayaran di Australia
- Pemohon mesti memenuhi syarat kesihatan dan rekod jenayah (character requirements)
- Pegawai imigresen boleh meminta dokumen tambahan jika perlu
Visitor Visa – Subkelas 600 (Tourist Stream / Business Visitor Stream)

Our stay at Meriton Suites Kent Street was fantastic! The location is right in the heart of the city — walking distance to Darling Harbour, Town Hall Station, and plenty of shops and restaurants. The suite was spacious, modern, and spotless, with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities that made our trip so much more convenient. The bed was very comfortable, and we loved having a separate living area to relax in after a long day exploring Sydney. The staff were friendly and helpful, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Having an indoor pool, spa, and gym on-site was a great bonus too. Staying in Fullerton Hotel is a wonderful experience. Hesitating between the Fullerton Hotel and the Four Season，finally here we are. Half an hour was spent on the way to the hotel from Sydney International Airport by train，which is in the vicinity of St James Station. Greeted by professional concierge and receptionist，the check in was less than 5 mins. 1 dollar was deducted from card as deposit. The room of 40 square meters was really big for two person. Mini bar was filled with different kind of drinks. Bed & sofa was soft and cozy. Room service was available via a black i-pad on the table，paid by either cash or card when checking out. Sydney Opera House & Hyde Park was nearby，together with other luxury stores. The room price was friendly during off-season，which will definitely double when the new year come. The location is fantastic, located by the Darling Harbour, you can reach the Aquarium and Darling Harbour within 3-5 minutes. You can also access Sydney CBD (QVB etc.) easily. For the staff, they are super friendly and helpful. Despite I didn't request a daily room cleaning service, they tidied my room every day. If you don't want to have such service, you can definitely require not to too. The view of my room is amazing, you can enjoy the view of Darling Harbour. And one more thing which I found quite important is that the room has a perfect soundproof. Since it's winter in August, it's quite cold in Sydney. The lobby has very warm temperature and cozy vibe. However, the room's air conditioning didn't provide a warm temperature that I satisfied, the room temperature remains between 18-20 °C during our stay, it would be perfect if it's like 23-25 °C. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its location, directly opposite QVB (Queen Victoria Building), which makes getting around and shopping incredibly convenient. However, the room's hardware condition was quite disappointing. The space was very small and the facilities were quite old. The overall feel was probably equivalent to a domestic three-star standard. The service was decent though, with housekeeping coming daily. All things considered, I likely won't choose to stay here again. Overall, it exceeded my expectations. The suite had huge windows, and housekeeping cleaned daily. The kitchen facilities were complete, though I was hesitant to use the stove for fear of setting off the fire alarm. Was it $1460 or something like that?
**Location:** The location is excellent. It’s a short walk to QVB and other places in the city. We even walked to the Opera House. Coming back from the outlet mall, it was a direct bus ride.
**Service:** Good, the front desk staff were friendly.
Even though there's no breakfast, it's easy to find breakfast nearby, so it wasn't a big deal. The only thing to note is that there's a lot of noise from racing cars or sirens (or ambulances?) outside the window at night.DariQAR 323

The best hostel for solo travellers. I was a bit hesitant at first given that the only available room was the mixed dorm. However, the room is clean, quiet, enough space for luggages. I think the best thing I noticed is the cleanliness and the travellers who were checking in because they are all well-mannered. It was a bummer that it was fully booked on my last day on Sydney. I transferred to a different hostel across the street and just massive comparison.

This was by far the best hotel during our Australia trip. First, it was incredibly affordable, offering genuine value for money. Second, the room was spacious; we could easily open two 28-inch suitcases in the luggage area, giving the kids plenty of room to play. Third, the environment and location were fantastic. The breakfast restaurant and corridor facing the Yarra River offered a distant view of Flinders Street, allowing the kids, on their first visit to Melbourne, to instantly grasp the city's unique charm. Right downstairs, you're on the riverside square with pigeons, musicians, and artists – the children immediately understood Melbourne's artistic vibe. Personally, I found it much better than the Westin in the CBD and the Langham in Southbank where I've stayed for business trips. The hotel is connected to a shopping mall, making dining incredibly convenient. There's an exit downstairs that leads directly to the river, surrounded by a cluster of charming restaurants with river views. We enjoyed dinner at various places; my parents loved the Thai restaurant, and the kids were all about the steak. The hotel breakfast was more than adequate, and the head chef, who is Asian, was lovely to chat with. There were plenty of Asian options like congee and noodles, along with convenient chopsticks, and the kids' favorite, ice cream and a chocolate fountain. The breakfast service was excellent; both local staff and Chinese international students made us feel very comfortable. After learning from a student that you can work in Australia from age 14, my child has been dreaming of coming back in a few years to work and help alleviate the burden on me and their dad... Perhaps because we visited just before Chinese New Year, the massive crowds hadn't arrived yet, but this Crowne hotel genuinely made our stay so pleasant. Myself and my two teens spent a night here. We stayed on the 12th floor and the room was beautiful, the balcony was large and gave us wonderful views from the ocean to the city. The bed was super comfortable and it has to be one of the only hotels I’ve stayed in that actually descaled their kettles ( huge bonus for someone who is grossed out by hotel kettle stories)
We enjoyed the pool in the early hours of the morning before check out. We tried to get towels to go down to the pool about 8:30 and told that they were closing it even though the hotel information states 10pm (apparently they needed to update that)

The unit was great, well equipped with kitchen and necessities, washer dryer dishwasher and even all the detergents we would need. They also gave extra blankets which was a sweet touch. Thanks to Ctrip for the help. The hotel is sincere, but the hygiene and catering services may be management problems or staff quality problems, and there are indeed many unsatisfactory ones. Booked 2 rooms and upgraded to a corner room with views only to spend the whole stay in darkness with no views or natural light as the electric drapes were not working and multiple attempts to fix by maintenance were not succesf. Was told they were coming back to fix but when I went to reception at 7:45pm to ask why they’re not fixed I was told they determined they could not fix until a later date, Requested a room refund from Crown which was declined. First of all, the hotel does not have a reception desk. You need to contact the service staff to check in later or soon. If you don't speak English well, do your homework in advance or choose another room.
Geographical environment: 8-10 minutes walk to crown business district (take a 6-year-old child). The Crown business district is full of food, shopping and casinos. There are many supermarkets in the downstairs for a minute or two. You can buy food and cook, and provide daily living supplies. Very convenient.
Room facilities: The hotel is a bit like a homestay. In a comprehensive apartment. You need to swipe the magnetic card to get in and out, which is relatively safe. The overall space is large, but both bedrooms are 1.5 meters small beds. The kitchen has pans, cutlery, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a dishwasher. But there is no seasoning. Cooking a light meal should be OK. Due to the folklore nature, there is no daily cleaning service. There is a swimming pool in the building.
Parking charges, $ 25 a day. Just come in and out. Friends who drive are highly recommended. City parking is too expensive. It's a good deal to take a taxi.
Disadvantages:
1. Give Ctrip. When booking, it was not marked clearly, I thought there was a hotel with a front desk. Stupidly arrived and found out that it was a homestay type. The current homeowner couldn't get through to the phone, and there was no place to stop and jump straight. Later, the host came and said that Ctrip only told us to check in at 5 o'clock, and did not give the host the contact information, so he was not prepared. Check-in at five is my time for Ctrip, but we flew from Brisbane, that is only approximate time. If Ctrip protects my personal privacy, I will not give the owner contact information, but at least I have to contact me Tell me how to check in, let me contact the owner in advance! !!
