Our stay at Meriton Suites Kent Street was fantastic! The location is right in the heart of the city — walking distance to Darling Harbour, Town Hall Station, and plenty of shops and restaurants.
The suite was spacious, modern, and spotless, with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities that made our trip so much more convenient. The bed was very comfortable, and we loved having a separate living area to relax in after a long day exploring Sydney.
The staff were friendly and helpful, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Having an indoor pool, spa, and gym on-site was a great bonus too.

My husband and I stayed in Sofitel for 3 nights and everything was honestly 10/10. The staff are excellent - so friendly and helpful. They attended to all our needs. One of the best breakfast buffets we have had and we have travelled all over the world. We felt spoilt for choice. We loved our stay here and definitely would highly recommend!! Marriott hotel is located 5 minutes walking distance from Circular Quay Station. Many restaurants nearby, but many closes by 8pm. Nearest McDonald’s opens 24hours, located just opposite the train station. Pitt Street Mall is a 15 minutes walk down the street. Shopping malls and supermarkets are located there. Sydney Opera House is also within walking distance from hotel.
Booked 2 rooms, placed request to have both rooms on the same level but they did not accommodate to the request. So we had 2 rooms on 2 levels. Which was quite inconvenient. One of the rooms we were allocated had a bathtub and separate rain shower area. Rooms were of decent size. Pillows were uncomfortable. Right opposite of the hotel was an office building. Opera House is located to the left of the window. Caught a firework show on my last night there as there was an event at the opera house.

The location is fantastic, located by the Darling Harbour, you can reach the Aquarium and Darling Harbour within 3-5 minutes. You can also access Sydney CBD (QVB etc.) easily.
For the staff, they are super friendly and helpful.
Despite I didn't request a daily room cleaning service, they tidied my room every day. If you don't want to have such service, you can definitely require not to too.
The view of my room is amazing, you can enjoy the view of Darling Harbour. And one more thing which I found quite important is that the room has a perfect soundproof. Since it's winter in August, it's quite cold in Sydney. The lobby has very warm temperature and cozy vibe. However, the room's air conditioning didn't provide a warm temperature that I satisfied, the room temperature remains between 18-20 °C during our stay, it would be perfect if it's like 23-25 °C. My boking when they saw it they said they can’t provide that room on the first night so have to stay in a different room then they said they will bring my bags to the new room but ended up it was in the reception. The best hostel for solo travellers. I was a bit hesitant at first given that the only available room was the mixed dorm. However, the room is clean, quiet, enough space for luggages. On check-in, Alicia at reception congratulated us, notified us that we would be upgraded and sent a bottle of sparkling wine to the room for us. The room was a really good size. The balcony was at a level where there was no building blocking either the view or afternoon sun - we had to pay extra for this though. The fridge didnt really seem to work, at least the freezer didnt. When putting icecreams in the freezer, they melted, so I turned the dial to cooler and then the fruit in the fridge froze our fruit. We really shouldnt need to adjust settings in the fridge/freezer for them to work. Also the toilet keep running after it flushed. You can get utensils from the reception if you need one. Decent sized room with chrome cast tv. Just one thing about the room motion detection, not sure if it’s only me, but if you are in the room but not moving around ( sitting while scrolling phone) the electricity cuts off after 30 minutes. Had a comfortable and warm week here!
First off, the hotel's location is excellent. It's in Southbank, close to the city center, and there's a supermarket right downstairs. This not only covers daily essentials but also includes an Asian supermarket. It was incredibly convenient to buy groceries and then head straight upstairs to cook.
Secondly, the hotel facilities are great. I chose a high-floor room with distant ocean views. I could only hear the traffic noise from downstairs when I opened the double-glazed soundproof doors, so the sound insulation is really good! The hotel's AC and heating were also very effective, without blowing directly, which made staying in Melbourne in winter as comfortable as having central heating up north. Lastly, the hotel mattress was comfortable, just the right firmness, and I slept really well!
Thirdly, the hotel's cleanliness is excellent. Unlike other serviced apartments that clean once a week, this hotel arranged daily cleaning and never disturbed my morning rest. Finally, the front desk service was also very helpful! I would definitely recommend it to friends!Dari€78

The unit was great, well equipped with kitchen and necessities, washer dryer dishwasher and even all the detergents we would need. They also gave extra blankets which was a sweet touch. Walls were quite thin, we could hear a lot of traffic noise and even our neighbours. However, it is good enough. The front desk staff at check-in and the luggage storage staff were both very friendly. I booked a king room while my friend booked a twin room on the same floor. However, the condition of the rooms was very different—our king room looked much older and more worn out. The biggest issue was the shower: the showerhead sprayed water in a very dispersed way, which made the water pressure extremely weak. When we arrived, we had an issue with our room—the balcony door wouldn’t lock, and the balcony was somewhat accessible from other apartments. Concerned for our belongings, we asked if we could change rooms. The front desk staff were extremely accommodating and kindly offered us a free upgrade to a higher-floor, two-bedroom apartment.
Unfortunately, when we arrived at the new room, the second bedroom was locked and inaccessible. We didn’t bother raising it as we hadn’t booked a two-bedroom apartment and didn’t really need the extra space. However, we are starting to feel that the rooms are becoming a bit... dated. There’s often a musty smell when we check in, and this time, we found someone else’s socks in the dryer—after drying some of our own clothes, which wasn’t pleasant.
A little more attention to cleaning between guests and ensuring faults are properly addressed would go a long way. Sadly, this experience has left us considering other accommodation options for our next stay—something we wouldn’t normally do, as the Oaks’ location is fantastic! That said, I want to reiterate that the front desk staff were absolutely lovely and very accommodating.Dari€97

First of all, the hotel does not have a reception desk. You need to contact the service staff to check in later or soon. If you don't speak English well, do your homework in advance or choose another room.
Geographical environment: 8-10 minutes walk to crown business district (take a 6-year-old child). The Crown business district is full of food, shopping and casinos. There are many supermarkets in the downstairs for a minute or two. You can buy food and cook, and provide daily living supplies. Very convenient.
Room facilities: The hotel is a bit like a homestay. In a comprehensive apartment. You need to swipe the magnetic card to get in and out, which is relatively safe. The overall space is large, but both bedrooms are 1.5 meters small beds. The kitchen has pans, cutlery, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a dishwasher. But there is no seasoning. Cooking a light meal should be OK. Due to the folklore nature, there is no daily cleaning service. There is a swimming pool in the building.
Parking charges, $ 25 a day. Just come in and out. Friends who drive are highly recommended. City parking is too expensive. It's a good deal to take a taxi.
Disadvantages:
1. Give Ctrip. When booking, it was not marked clearly, I thought there was a hotel with a front desk. Stupidly arrived and found out that it was a homestay type. The current homeowner couldn't get through to the phone, and there was no place to stop and jump straight. Later, the host came and said that Ctrip only told us to check in at 5 o'clock, and did not give the host the contact information, so he was not prepared. Check-in at five is my time for Ctrip, but we flew from Brisbane, that is only approximate time. If Ctrip protects my personal privacy, I will not give the owner contact information, but at least I have to contact me Tell me how to check in, let me contact the owner in advance! !!
