The hotel was in its off season so it was under going some upgrades but they didn’t intrude on customers comfort.
Truth is the area is so nice I didn’t spend much time in the hotel.

Very helpful and personable receptionist. We had a sea view apartment, a little dated but came with a well equipped kitchenette. It is a 20 minute walk to Alvor Village and a short walk to the beach. The hotel also has an indoor/outdoor pool, sauna and gym with plenty of parking and a convenient store nearby.

Property around the hotel where we had our breakfast was very nice. Room seemed dark and had a musty smell. Showers did not drain quick enough. Beds and pillows were worn out. The pool in the Pestana Atlantico was nice. Grocery store attached to the hotel was convenient. View out of our windows was not nice. Kept windows and curtains closed all the time. There was nothing to look at except streets and pedestrian and the emergency stairs. 😞

A very good place to stay and a great location for the fabulous beach, albeit a 20 minute walk to the centre of Alvor. The staff at the accommodation are superb and it is very good value.

The room was not sound proof with noise and light coming through the door from the halleay. Appliance in the kitchen was limited.
Location is very convenient with beach just a few steps away.

While the area is beautiful, this property is totally in disarray. We booked a superior studio, and were given a room significantly worse than those pictured, including a large amount of mould in the kitchen, dirty sheets, a broken single stool in the kitchen, a used coffee filter in the machine, and duct tape covering the bright-green fire escape light. Upon complaining, we were moved to another room that was very little better — one set of blinds had to be held up by fishing wire, and while there was a kitchen, they neither did the dishes nor provided a soap and sponge so we could do them ourselves. They also did not replace towels unless specifically asked each day.
We suspect this property was gorgeous 30 years ago, but it has fallen a long way and the only reason to stay there is the location, which admittedly, is excellent and near a gorgeous section of beach.
