Won’t be back- -Award night not allowed for platinum -Internet was terrible -door had to be closed forcibly to close - loud due to proximity of interstate - hard to get to for construction All of these were inconveniences but livable. Hotel was theoretically sold out so we couldn’t book another room for family member. Then Our toilet stopped working and they told us no one here to fix it but would move us to another room. When I said I thought you were sold out, I was told that “we keep an extra of each room type for when things like this happen. I asked if we could also use the room without a working toilet since no one else could use it for the night. “No but we could sell it for 1/2 price”. So we couldn’t use award night, no consideration for moving rooms, and were “allowed” to pay another $85 for a room with no toilet. It’s rare for us to stay at holiday inn Express anymore. Normally it’s holiday inn when we use IHG properties. Last few experiences with express have all been subpar. This one appeared to be clean- but not the service we’re used to- and certainly no feeling of appreciation. My rule is to stick with 4 star or better ratings when booking- broke my rule for this one location… but wish I hadn’t. The fact that they were able to squeeze an extra $85 out of us I guess gives them the win.

I had a bad experience the first time I stayed here last week on my way to a conference, the accidentally booked the same place on my way back. I cringed when I pulled into the parking lot to see it was the same place with limited parking, unfriendly staff and hard-to navigate hallways (with staff flinging dirty washcloths out the doors). I should not have worried- because just then they called to say they were overbooked and would need to move me to another hotel several miles away. Very poor IHG protocol in my estimation- calling people who have been driving for hours to say they cannot accommodate you! I somehow found the other hotel across town- no thanks to them (they didn’t send the address or anything)- and then had to shlep all my bags and coolers up to a high floor because other people had kept all the luggage carts to themselves in their rooms overnight. Overall, a miserable experience after a 7 hr drive. I will never stay at a Holiday Inn Express or IHG hotel again, and plan to cancel my IHG membership.

Beautiful hotel this hotel is very well styled very beautiful and very welcoming and accommodating. My only complaint is something that probably can't be helped we wanted to eat at the restaurant in the hotel, and they were out of hamburgers. I would think that restaurant wouldn't run out early in the day. The welcoming staff at the front desk, was very nice I requested specific instructions on my room and they placed me on the bottom floor. They did tell me they had no extra pillows to give me I had requested two extra pillows and they said they didn't have them? Since when does the hotel not have extra pillows? All in all it was a very beautiful hotel a very good stay the pool was nice, and we probably will plan on staying there again. But I may feel the need to either bring my own hamburgers or pillows LOL

Really nice stay. Spent two nights here in preparation for a week long MINI Cooper rally up to Seattle. The hotel was easy to find, very clean, and the staff was friendly. The room was nicely laid out and clean. The location was quiet and we both got a good nights sleep. Plenty of eateries nearby. We were directed to the Saltgrass Steak House and it didn't disappoint. If you're in Amarillo, this is a great option, for sure!
