I've been coming from the United States to The Hotel Pulitzer for 19 years. Its the only I will stay in Amsterdam. Sven DB and the team always take amazing care to ensure a wonderful stay. The rooms are so unique and capture the essence of how really unique the hotel is. The restaurant has amazing food. The hotel is immaculate and all of the public spaces are so wonderfully decorated.

Pulitzer is highly recommended as an event venue for special occasions like weddings. Our experience began with Ruby, who ensured that the planning and communication were seamless. We rented the Saxenburg room for an intimate wedding with 18 guests, and the evening was absolutely wonderful. The professional staff provided exceptional service, making the event very pleasant. The location is stunning. The food was delicious, and special thanks go to the chef and pastry team—the chocolate cake created by Patissiers Juan and Adriano was the highlight of the evening. Many thnx! We will cherish these beautiful moments forever.

Overall this was a good stay. There is a lot of positives about the Pulitzer. Starting with its location which is very central to all of the tourist sites in Amsterdam. We walked almost everywhere easily. Second, this hotel (especially common spaces ) is beautifully decorated mixing classic details with modern tastes. I absolutely adored the portraits in the lobby and wish they sold prints! The room itself was clean, tastefully designed and bedding was lovely. The breakfast was very nice with a small buffet and hot items. This is a solid 4 star hotel experience and I would recommend it and gladly return. That said, there are some things that could be improved. Perhaps because we were traveling at a busy time of year, the staff didn't have the bandwidth to provide their usual level of service? Perhaps they were understaffed for a busy time? For example I asked the concierge to make a reservation for a restaurant a few weeks before my stay and despite confirming they received the request, they never made the reservation or followed up with me that they could not. Another example would be that we requested rooms near our traveling companion and despite this being a quite large hotel, our rooms were on totally opposite ends of the floor. These were minor inconveniences and did not tarnish our wonderful trip but something that could easily be improved.

Such a stunning hotel in the best location possible. Beautiful rooms and delicious food and wines. Also the service was fantastic, special kudos to Jason at the reception and Allessandra in the restaurant. Hospitality at its finest. Thank you!

This visually exciting hotel was cobbled together from 25 individual canal houses dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. You can wander winding hallways up and down stairs from house to house exploring. Artistic touches are around every corner: a bicycle collage on a garden wall, a sideboard loaded with Delft china, old framed portraits, vintage velvet chairs, and garden cafe seating with lavender-striped cushions exactly matching the lavender plants on the black marble table tops. Each guest room is unique and has its own story. We were enthralled by special little touches in our room, which was furnished with a vintage armoire, vanity table, and bar cabinet, like a long-spouted electric kettle, and a tote bag, umbrella, and colored pencils embossed with the hotel name. The lavish marble bathroom had a massive rain shower head as well as a hand-held shower in a wall mount. The water pressure was great. That said, the hair dryer had to be plugged in outside the bathroom (quirky electricity), and there was no iron, nor a pressing service (only laundry and dry cleaning). We booked a manicure and a massage our first morning and received top quality services. Breakfast and lunch in the hotel's restaurant was amazing. The location on the Prinzengracht is perfect!

Room excellent. Staff all helpful. Both restaurants we used were excellent. We would return. 5 Star means 5 Star. We have been spoiled and won't want to settle foe mediocre any more. The front desk was always helpful. Similarly all services we used was of a similar standard.

We spent 4 nights at the Pulitzer. The first two times, a very loud noise (like banging) kept us awake all night. We recorded the noise with our phones and went to report it to the manager. We asked for a change of room. In any other palace we would have been upgraded or compensated in some way; here, we got a quiet room, certainly, but smaller and with less of a view! An apology note was waiting for us in the room, along with a gift: a chocolate bar! We'd also like to point out that we never had turndown service. Maybe there isn't one, which is surprising for a palace. When we left, the hotel had charged us for an international call (which we hadn't made) and for drinks from the minibar, which we hadn't touched! The manager was at the entrance, but didn't say a word to ask if we'd had a good stay or to apologize again. Obviously, there are a lot of tourists in Amsterdam and nobody really cares about the customer. This is not worthy of a 5-star hotel that we were told was the best in Amsterdam. It certainly isn't, or there's something wrong with this city.

I love this hotel, it’s now my Amsterdam home after a few stays. It’s cosy and luxe. Love the common spaces, great bar areas and people watching is fun. Breakfast is overpriced but the restaurant is so pretty. Staff is wonderful, rooms are quiet.

Very welcoming stay in a beautiful real Amsterdam hotel. We celebrate our daughters 11th birthday. The spaceful room was decorated with all kind of birthday presents, garlands and even 0%Bubbles. We decided to have dinner in the hotel restaurant Jansz it was very busy (reservations advised) but the hostess and waitresses found time to congrats our birthday girl. After the dinner a big surprise.....a wonderful cake appears. Happy Birthday....it was unforgetable. Thank you Pulitzer Amsterdam
