I will start the review by saying the staff are 5*, the reception and other communal areas are clean and tidy, the main pool was too busy and noisy for us, so we stuck with the smaller pool, the sunbed situation did vary day by day but getting one around 9ish wasn’t an issue. When we checked in we were told we’d been upgraded, I hate to think what the room was like that we should have been in, please check the photos for a horrible toilet seat that immediately put you off the holiday, the rusty drain cover in the bathroom, the bathroom door that only opened around 18 inches because of the sink, the unpainted bit of wall where they’d obviously moved the wall light, we had leaking air con (that was fixed). We ate lunch at the snack bar every day that was nice, the evening dinner was ok but nothing to get excited about, we did try the three different cuisine options on offer in the evening at the smaller restaurant, mostly good but the sweet & sour chicken at the Asian night was not as expected, think twice before ordering that, the Greek and Italian nights were much better, service is speedy though as there are a few sittings, you are allowed just over an hour for your dinner. I understand it is under new ownership and hopefully if you are going there in 2025 it will be much improved, the people currently giving it 5* cannot possibly have stayed at a true 5* resort as this in nowhere near currently. I have 450 reviews on tripadvisor, I like to help travellers with a honest reviews, I’m genuinely sad that this was a mainly negative one, but as I said at the beginning the staff are the best part of the experience.
