A fantastic hotel, feels like in the Caribbean, spent one night in a “villa” with private jacuzzi- absolutely wonderful, especially with a sunset view. A good food in the pool
bar. The only issues - only one small pool with heated water and spa was for an extra charge (and was booked up)

Absolutely amazing. The architecture was beautiful and modern with exotic plants and open spaces. Staff were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Large swimming pool with bridges to lead to an island in the middle of the pool (very deep!). Rooms were clean and well appointed - enormous bed but made it feel a bit cramped. Entertainment was provided by singers performing every night (til 11pm so hard to sleep before then if room above). Nice child’s room with a trampoline, table football and air hockey. Upgraded to the preferred club option which gives access to a lounge with free drinks and snacks from 1.30-7pm which we used instead of lunch! Good breakfast buffet. Only used the evening buffet once, was reasonable but not amazing. Some of the other onsite restaurants didn’t appear to have been open all week. The position was outstanding as many good restaurants were nearby and beaches with water sports only down the road. 10/10 would definitely recommend and visit again!

Once again an amazing stay at the El Mirador. Without exception the staff are super friendly & attentive and the hotel and facilities excellent. Our third visit as a group of friends and we can’t fault the hotel, we stepped inside and felt like we had come home given such the warm welcome! Thanks in particular to Carla-but every colleague we encountered on this occasion, & on all of our previous trips, have been exceptional. The location is perfect and facilities inside and out beautifully maintained. We’ve used the gym (what a view!!), enjoyed the bar and restaurant and spent our days mainly lazing by the pool which had great service. We’ve booked again for next year already & cannot wait!

This hotel was a complete disappointment to us. Having been to Tenerife numerous times and stayed in a large amount of 5* hotels there, we were hoping this one would be the cherry on the cake. How wrong we were. For what we paid, it was certainly a case of”fur coat and no knickers”: Cons: upon arrival 9pm-the checkin was ridiculously slow, despite the fact there was only 1 other couple there. Information was lacking and a map given to us was most un helpful. The walk to the room was like a marathon and was something that eventually started to wear on us throughout the week. The walk to get to a pool proved arduous.yes you can get a buggy, but that can take up to 15 mins to arrive. The room was very dated. Furniture basic. The beds kept separating from the wall, which meant you could wake up with your pillows in a gap between the headboard and the mattress. No USB by the bed and only 1 plug socket, which had a lamp plugged into it so you have to pull the side table out to access the plug every day after the maids had been. There is no where to hang swimming costumes on the balcony so we ended up putting them over chairs. The breakfast area is painful. The egg station is painfully slow and the chef certainly doesn’t understand the concept of multi tasking. By the time you get your eggs, your toast is cold as it’s at the other end of the room. We waited over 25 minutes for someone to bring tea/coffee before I had to ask for some. I certainly don’t expect to get up and put towels down in a 5* resort, but unfortunately if you don’t do that -you didn’t get a bed. We also felt that the pools were very cold and not especially clean, but that could be the rocks that they are formed around causing this. Pros: the staff in general were very helpful and generally happy. Although the hotel is in URGENT need of a refurb, the cleaners do an amazing job and the ladies who cleaned our room were the best. I e stayed at places for half the price that were so much better so we were left feeling very disappointed.

The negatives definitely outweigh the positivies with this hotel but nonetheless , for a fair review: Pros: - the breakfast is varied and very good quality, you have plenty of vegetarian options , variety of fruit, pastries, fish, cheese etc. even alcoholic drinks such as Cava -the room is modern and spacious. we had a garden view and we enjoyed the view from the terrace. The turn down service is also nice. - there is live music every night in the lounge Cons: - very noisy hotel, both around the pool area as well as at night on the hotel's corridors, that is due to several big groups of tourist groups (20+ people, mainly British, with teenagers running around and the hotel is very ok with this as they are likely coming on repeat visits every year due to travel agency recommendations (this is one of the hotels that serves kosher food). Therefore if you're looking for relaxation time as a couple with no kids, this is not the place for you. - food at Seen restaurant is not particularly good, we tried the black ink rice and we could not finish the meal, it was way too heavy and garlicky -the pools are not well heated, compared to other hotels we stayed at (incl in Tenerife). Though there are several pools you can choose from, there is really only 1 jacuzzi type (so very small) that is actually properly heated, which means that everyone goes to that pool, it becomes super crowded with kids playing ball games and the other pools remain completely empty the whole day. I have never seen jacuzzi type pools being used for ball games in other hotels, so this is a first and again, staff is not restricting this at all.

This was our 7th stay at the Gran Tacande over Christmas and New Year and have generally enjoyed our break. I do agree with previous comment about jack hammers / noise coming from their new restaurant refurbishment though....we ended up going to the beach for the last week. My issue is we booked again for this Christmas and on arriving back thought we would try and book 1 extra night. The cost for this one extra night is 735.08 Euros??? (one room for Jan 4th). This is totally outrageous when considering this years prices are between 30-40% more expensive than last year. Hotel is in a great location / some staff are great...some clearly do not want to be there and not happy with the management...but 735 Euros for one extra night is making us think twice about revisiting. Advice would be to look around.....there are other / equally as good hotels in Adeje which offer better value for money based on the cost of 1 extra night.

Just got back from an amazing holiday at Palm Beach and couldn’t have asked for a better, hospitable group of people to make my step daughters first holiday one to remember. Thank you to Hosé, Alan, Cathy, Adele(?-sorry) and the rest of the Funtastic crew for making my stepdaughters first holiday one we will definitely never forget. The services are great, the room clean and the views are incredible (sea view). Can’t wait to go back!

Enjoyed 2 weeks at the hotel on an all inclusive basis and had a great time. On arrival we had an issue with the air conditioning and after visiting reception they came to try and fix the problem. It turned out we needed a whole new unit and was sorted out very quickly. The bedroom was cleaned everyday, you were asked to put the towels in the shower if you wanted them changing and to put the note on the bed if you wanted the linen changing, however they were changed everyday without doing any of these. The rooms were very clean and the shower was always hot and the rain shower and normal shower were very powerful. The food in the dining room always had a good variety to choose from, however some food could have been hotter but there was a microwave if you needed to warm anything up. The staff were always friendly and cleared your dirty pots very quickly. The staff on the bar were very friendly, always happy to have a chat with you and they all got to know exactly what drinks you were wanting without you even asking them. The drinks were excellent even though the spirits were local, you could pay for the branded spirits if you wished to. Finally the animation team - Diego, Tamas, Denise and Manu what can I say EXCELLENT!! you made our holiday memorable with plenty of laughs and activities to do, will definitely be returning

Excellent. Our holiday was very enjoyable and were pleased that RIU were able to accommodate our preference of room location. Service, all staff was impeccable, professional and welcoming. Great to see so many familiar faces. Gala dinners out of this world.. Location of hotel so close to the beach, pool and sun lounger areas well kept. Nice walks on the promenade and shops close by for some retail therapy.

The one-bedroom apartment was very clean and spacious. The resort itself is lovely, offering beautiful pool areas, and all of the staff go out of their way to make you feel valued. Located just across the street from the beach, and with restaurants and shops everywhere around it, the location was perfect. I booked this through my RCI membership and got a phenomenal price for the quality of the resort. The only issue was our unit was located on the street side of the resort, on the fourth floor, which was almost above a bar that had extremely loud music playing til late every night.

PPengguna Tetamu Una experiencia para volver a repetir sin dudarlo! tanto el personal del hotel como las instalaciones, sitio perfecto para desconectar y disfrutar de todas las actividades que ofrece a lo largo del día en el hotel. El personal sin dudarlo personas muy competentes que siempre están con una sonrisa y para ayudarte en cualquier momento! Dispone de unas instalaciones muy completas el apartamento no le falta ni un mínimo detalle, todo súper cuidado y mimado con todas las facilidades que te hacen una estancia perfecta! Gracias a todos por hacer estas vacaciones muy agradables! Volveremos 😊

PPengguna TetamuExcellent apartments and amenities. The reception team both on arrival and departure were very very friendly and informative. Only slight downside for us was it was a little too far from the beach and amenities which made it very quiet however this would suit a lot of people. There was an excellent Spanish themed restaurant around the corner from the resort literally 2 minutes which served excellent food and had excellent background music.

The apartment was fine. Very basis but you get what you pay for. Hot water was fine. Beds are fine. Breakfast at €9 each was not great but machine coffee was ok. Toast was good lots of spreads offered. Staff friendly. Spa good but pedicure was a bit expensive. It's quiet place just what we like. Lifts ok. Clean enough. A couple of bar, café and restaurants close by if you don't want the 15 min walk to beach. Good supermarket 2 mins walk. Would stay again.
