For those who prefer to drive and park, this in not the place for you. If, on the other hand, you appreciate a new experience, consider Qian Mansion 1929. The hotel is located amid an old neighborhood consisting of narrow alleys, no streets. The hotel, as the name implies, is in a 1929 mansion. From the alley, you walk into a beautiful courtyard. The staff is attentive, and the afternoon tea service was something I looked forward to every day. There are central sitting areas on both floors. The rooms are 3/4 bath, and are climate-controlled. It's location is close to the Zhongshan Rd. pedestrian street, the Botanical Gardens, the Gulangyu Island ferry, and bus stops for Nanputuo temple and various beach destinations. I recommend approaching the property from Zhenhi Road. Amap will give a path from other streets, but in my experience, GPS coverage can be iffy (it seemed to work during the day, but at night, not so well). This was my first trip to China. I'm a 74 year-old single traveler, and I would stay there again.

Probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The service was impeccable—from the beginning the hotel staff was very responsive via WeChat, answering all my questions about Wuyishan, arranging train station pickup, booking Impression Dahongpao tickets on our behalf. When we first arrived at the hotel, the staff was extremely welcoming, serving us Rougui tea and patiently going over our travel itinerary for the day. Every request we made was honored. They added an extra bed to a room to accommodate a 3rd guest, prepared a vegetarian meal for a vegetarian in our group, and cooked a warm black sugar coca cola drink to help soothe my dad's throat, who was coughing pretty severely. Overall, I've never experienced better service at a hotel. The facilities themselves are breathtaking. The pond outside, the tea terrace, the interior decoration, the room furnishings... the style is ”traditional modern”, mostly wood and stone but very classy and comfortable. We came during an off-season, so the hotel was serene and peaceful at night. The location is also quite convenient: around 10 minutes by Didi from the main restaurant district and 15 minutes from the South Entrance of the scenic area.

As a mom travelling with my two boys, (16 and 13) we had an absolutely fantastic stay at this beautiful villa! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our incredible host Xianti (XT), his lovely mother, and the entire family. They were exceptionally kind, helpful, and genuinely caring throughout our entire visit. We stayed in the Triple Family Courtyard Room, which was not only beautifully decorated but also spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Despite our late arrival, we were still able to order a meal from the aunties and wow, the food was outstanding! In fact, we ended up having lunch and dinner there every single day because it was just that delicious. Every meal felt like a lovingly prepared, home-cooked feast. We also had the pleasure of taking part in a tea ceremony, which was a serene and special experience. The tea was exquisite, and it was a lovely way to connect with the culture and surroundings. Another highlight was the recommendation to see Impression Da Hong Pao a next-level show that left us absolutely amazed. What made it even better was that our host arranged the tickets for us and had them delivered to the villa, so thoughtful and convenient! If you’re still hesitating, don’t! We can wholeheartedly recommend this villa. It truly felt like a home away from home in China 💖 and was the perfect base for exploring the breathtaking Wuyishan mountains. Very interesting location, but deeply in cultural village and almost impossible to find. Room are very very nice and big. It's not convenient to stay there if you want to visit city center and attractions there.

這家民宿體驗感超棒，小區環境清幽安靜，住着特別舒心。整體裝修文藝精緻，能看得出老闆打理得格外用心。院內自帶小花園和泳池，出行交通方便，周邊吃飯選擇多，離海邊也不遠。回來還能泡泡腳放鬆。老闆熱情周到，辦事響應利落，還會貼心幫忙沖咖啡，整體居住體驗愜意舒服。

The room I stayed in did not offer the river view that was advertised on the website. Instead, I could see the neighbors’ house through the window. It doesn't feel like a resort or hotel; rather, it more like a private house and the owner living on the ground floor. In the late evening around 10 P.M. and early morning at 7 A.M., I could hear children screaming loudly and people communicating, which might disturb those seeking a quiet environment. I would not recommend this place for anyone who values tranquility. Having your own transportation would be ideal, as the bus stop is about a 10-minute walk away.

這次入住體驗真的不錯，真心誠意給店家滿分好評！整體感受完全超出心裏預期。民宿的環境乾淨清爽一進門就讓人心情放鬆。房間採光通風都很不錯，細節處都能看得出店家用心打理。老闆是個漂亮的姐姐哦，待人特別隨和，出行遊玩遇到不懂的路線、當地好吃的小店、值得打卡的去處，詢問的時候都會耐心細緻講解推薦，特別貼心實在。這次短暫的入住留下了不錯的回憶，下次再來這邊，一定還會選擇這再次入住😄

房間和圖片一樣，寬敞明亮，乾淨整潔，設施比較新，三兩好友聚會很適合很愜意，周邊吃飯的小店挺多，味道也不錯。最值得表揚的是這邊的服務意識，因為我們到早了，管家不但沒有不高興，還非常熱情的出來迎接我們，把我們送到房間，還因為沒有提前給我們開空調而覺得歉意，真的很周到。很正確的選擇，值得推薦，下次還會再來。

這家真的絕了，出行方便，步行可以到龍王頭沙灘，環境也好，床也挺大的，房間的物資也充足，居然還有投影儀！！來到平潭下雨，晚上回來正好可以追劇，真的好爽，而且很多都可以看，網路也巨穩定，點贊。前台小姐姐也超級好，好溫柔。我們一到地方，就馬上給我們發攻略，推薦好吃的地方，真的不錯！ 我們出去吃了一天的海風，加上下雨，回來也很累了，前台小姐姐看到我們疲憊不堪，還為我們提供了足浴包，老感動了🥹🥹🥹🥹，第一次住這麼舒服的酒店呢。強推強推👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻，只可惜沒追到藍眼淚哈哈哈，下雨了
