Nothing seems to have changed regarding helping the cats live a better life. All the bowls that I left in May had been thrown away under instruction from the manager to the maintenance staff. The whole point was so that nobody littered the area with ice cream bowls, ash trays and saucers. And to keep the cats away from the restaurant, bars and anyone who generally is not a cat person. Mum calico had totally disappeared, last seen August 2023. Her tail was not good last year and had healed over winter, for the skin to have come off again from photos I have seen from other tourists on various sites. I was told that one cat had been removed and dumped in a field next to a church - must look at laws regarding animal welfare in Greece! If you are found to have abandoned a cat or dog (stray or not) in Greece you can be fined E30k per animal and imprisoned. So in future you need to take animal cruelty seriously. Need to take local laws seriously. The current kittens were over domesticated by tourists, they need to have the ability to live through winter which can be very wet. They are a beautiful set of 3 born in the hotel itself back in April. This is their home. If you have the cats removed and dumped you are breaking the law. A few tourists saw the maintenance guys trying to catch the cats using nets :'( Their excuse was they were trying to catch a sick cat. Nowhere in the hotel did I see a sick cat or kitten. What I heard was animal cruelty. I myself bought spot on for the 3 kittens and did this before I Ieft. I would suggest that you have an area e.g one bottom corner of the hotel grounds where people can feed the cats/kittens to keep them out of the hotel premises. I understand that November is a very hard time for hotel cats all over the island as their food source dries up and this is when many die and fight for food :'( And there will also be a lack of water as swimming pools are drained for the winter. May I suggest to those that love cats that you take some kitten dried food with you in your hand luggage, and feed away from other guests, restaurants and bars so that the cats are not forcibly removed by staff doing as they are instructed. Hotel room was clean, thank you to the cleaning staff, as I understand you were down to 4 room cleaners :'( Restaurant areas etc also kept to a good clean standard. Although shared toilets around main pool were not up to a good clean standard. Vlasis, Maria and Tony great bunch to have working in the bars. (A pity Panos had left, great barman lost there) Stop telling staff off for being friendly, people are on holiday. Staff are terrified of the management, aggressive tactics are tantamount to bullying, which causes staff to leave and maybe gain mental health issues. And during my last 2 holidays I have now witnessed staff and others providing a service to the hotel shouted at in full view of paying guests. That's not what people on holiday want to witness from Hotel Managers, or any staff member
