The hotel was overbooked so we were upgraded to a villa. The villa was opulent with a private pool, however it smelled of mold and barely had any amenities. I insisted to change it to our original booking of 3 rooms. The rooms were nice and had large bathrooms and decent amenities, however you could feel they need some renovations. The same can be said of the whole hotel which definitely looked dated. We made the mistake of eating at their dinner buffet which was horrible. We couldn't find one single edible item in the whole buffet . The breakfast buffet was definitely better with delicious made to order scrambled eggs. The swimming pool was huge and heated in the cool February weather. I was told that I had to pay 100 riyals extra to use the indoor pool which I think is outrageous. I don't understand why a hotel guest should pay extra for any amenity. The staff at the hotel were uniformly courteous and helpful. I want to single out Noman and Caroline at the reception who were extremely nice. All in all an OK stay which will probably not be repeated.
