We drove to the main store at first. Although there is a free shuttle bus from the main store to this branch, remember not to make a mistake if you drive by yourself.
The hotel has a children's activity area and a hot water park where you need to wear a swimsuit. There are also two hot spring areas, including carbonated springs and sulfur springs. It takes about 30 minutes to drive to the Aso crater, which is very convenient! There is also free hell ramen for midnight snacks. We bought a hotel package that includes dinner. Dinner has sashimi and local wine to drink. It is very rich and recommended!
We offer reasonable accommodation as a hub for traveling in Aso instead of offering large hot spring baths.

Room was spacious but the bathroom was awkwardly small. There is NO hair conditioner in the bathroom. The fridge was so cold that the milk froze!
The mattress and pillow were so comfy, soft, and firm at the time. We slept very well and didn’t want to leave the bed!

A bit difficult to find but we had an interesting stay, traditional Japanese bedding needs some getting used to, loved the private shower room, and the price was great as well.

Hotels that only want to serve tour groups do not want to accommodate independent travelers. We arrived at 2:30pm and asked if we could check in half an hour early. The employee pointed out that check-in could only be done at 3pm. Then we asked if we could store our luggage, but the employee said she couldn't find our order. She was willing to look for our order only after we showed the trip.com order page.
The usage hours of the private hot spring are from 3pm to 9am. We went to the front desk at 10pm to ask about the location of the private hot spring, and she directly told us ”no”. After asking again, we were allowed to enter and let us leave at 12am.
Check out time was 10am. We felt very sorry that we didn't leave until 10:08am. They called us 4 times during this period and the attitude was very bad.
The employees don't speak English at all, and they won't actively help solve problems. They will just reject you directly, making people feel that you shouldn't bother them, and there is no one on duty at the front desk for a long time.
All rooms are installed with internet free of charge!Enjoy the kaiseki cuisine that colors the four seasons and the spectacular open-air view

The service attitude of the counter staff was good, and the accommodation rules were clearly explained. The public bathhouse on the first floor is well-equipped. There was a little girl crawling in the outdoor female public pool on the top floor, so I didn't go there. There are many types of breakfast, and there is unlimited supply of Aso milk. You can eat a lot. full.
It is recommended to live in a high-rise building, so you can see the beautiful scenery of Mount Aso outside the window in the morning.
With a stay at Sozankyo in Aso, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Aso Kuju National Park and Hanaasobi Garden. This ryokan is 14.2 mi (22.8 km) from Mount Aso and 3.8 mi (6.2 km) from Road Station Aso.

The hotel is very clean. You need to change the hotel shoes at the entrance of the hotel. The service attitude is very good. As soon as you enter the door, you will be taken to the sofa in the lobby to sit, and then the special matcha 🍵 will be served for you to taste. While introducing the hotel's facilities and services, they helped me check in and sent all the luggage to the room. After checking in, they also sent me to the room and explained the facilities in the room to me one by one. The room is designed in Japanese style, and it's quite new. The toilet lid will open automatically when you open the toilet door😂. The only regret is that there is no bathtub. If you want to take a bath, you have to go to the hot spring pool. The hotel also has a private bath, which can be used for 40 minutes. There are comics to read at the entrance of the hot spring🥰. You can soak in the hot spring here 24 hours a day😎. There is a starry sky bar on the top floor, which is open from 9pm to 11.30pm. I didn't go there due to lack of time. I had Japanese set meals in the morning for three consecutive days, so..., it would be better if there were more Western options. If you can, it would be a good choice to stay for two days. There are also many delicious foods near the hotel. I ate horse meat and pork ramen nearby,😁😁

GGuest Userthis accomodation is perfect! thanks a lot :) see you soon!!
GGuest UserThe homestay is in a literary hall. A large complex. The room is two suites. They have bathrooms and baths. The room also has indoor and outdoor pools. The room is very comfortable. The store provides extra breakfast and dinner. Dinner is a rich Chinese food. It is a rare worker to eat Chinese food. The staff are very enthusiastic and most of the staff can speak Chinese. If you want to ask in advance, you can call and contact the staff in advance to communicate with WeChat. We played a ball in Asu. The staff asked us about several stadiums in order to find the right time. Thank you very much.
GGuest UserBetter to rent a car to get there, so convenience is not somebody who books this place should look for.
For relaxing purpose, this is a nice area with lots of green, the down side is it is next to a golf course, so there were sounds of tree-cutting and a bunch of golfers practicing their putts on the practice putting green next to the site for trailers. I am not a big fan of that.
Service is closed to non-existent, there were staffs who helped checking us in, they were friendly and did their job explaining all the essential functions of the trailer. They had to use the translator machine to communicate, they were very patient. I can't rate the service too high because after checking in we were pretty much on our own. So not something you should look for if service is a top priority.
Best part is there is an onsen next to the site that offers family bath, that's memorable.
SSeason MaOld traditional hot spring hotel
Big place with free parking
You can book a private open-air box bath at the counter
There are also indoor hot springs
Suitable for traveling with children
There is a small shop in the hotel and a children's play area.
Dinner is a buffet and there is wagyu beef available for barbecue, but there are many people
RReenfungOn the way to Aso Mountain by self-driving yesterday, there was a traffic accident in the barren mountains and wild mountains. Everyone was fine, but the car could no longer move. The car rental company arranged for a tow truck. I originally wanted to cancel the booked hotel, but the hotel actually said to pick us up🥹. As a result, the hotel took 1.5 hours to come and another 1.5 hours to go back. Originally one meal and two meals, they actually left dinner for us, very touched.
In the morning of the second day, the hotel manager actually said that he could rent another car for us, and even drove us to pick up the car so that we could continue our journey.
Their service is really good.
??]The dinner food is very rich and fresh, the breakfast is as delicious, there is Asu Shrine nearby, and the private hot spring is very enjoyable. Definitely come again next time.
水水佬船長Uchimaki Onsen is a family hot spring hotel, suitable for families. There are multiple hot spring baths. The most exciting thing is that there is Japanese black beef yakiniku all-you-can-drink dinner. You can drink beer when eating yakiniku. There is unlimited alcohol here. After dinner, you can go back to the hot spring.
GGuest UserLike the onsen in the hotel; onsen water is good and big enough for 6-7 person to use. Japanese breakfast served by staff was quite substantial and tasty.
The room that we stayed is quiet and faces mountain and park. Bathroom a little small but clean. There wasn’t any wardrobe but there were hooks on the wall and hangers were provided.
