The hotel as a whole is a beautiful place in a wonderful location. The first impression was great. Friendly and welcoming check-in. However, once details come up and they are not resolved, it becomes annoying. Rooms lack basic amenities like tissues, cotton buds, cotton pads, nail file (amenities that are standard in a 5 star hotel). The same room types, which cost exactly the same per night, differ in the amenities that are available in some and not in others. We have 3 rooms of the same category. For example, there is full body mirror in room 203. But a mirror in room 202. (Same room type.) There is a long full-length mirror in 203 and 103 and there is none in 202. There is also a coffee maker in 202 but not in the other 2 rooms.. these are small insignificant details. The biggest problem is not the lack of amenities but the lack of attention because there is not enough staff. It's really a ”one man show”.... In the F&B areas. At the reception... no one answers the phone when you need reception and the coffee at breakfast only comes after breakfast has already been served... feel sorry for the poor staff, they are overworked. However when you need something done in the room... you can call and call, they might apologise but no other solution is given other than a room move. Which on a holiday is not very practical. The bathroom blinds in room 202 are damaged, no one even tries to fix it. In room 203 the windows do not open (faulty) maintenance does not check the condition... only solution is a room move... it would be nice for at least a gesture of finding a solution... I hope the people in charge read this because the place is beautiful, it has a lot of potential and it would be nice if other future guests could enjoy it and not be annoyed by small details that add up and become a burden during the stay.

We have been coming to Spain for over 27 years and during this time we have stayed in some good hotels and some where we have questioned the 5 star rating. Our tour of Northern Spain concluded with 2 nights in Palacio de Luces which is possibly the best hotel we have ever stayed in across Spain. There has clearly been huge inves**ent across all areas. Our room was immaculate and the quality of furnishings surpassed many of the 5 star hotels we have stayed in. The views from the public areas are stunning,made more impressive by the floor to ceiling glass screens. We would normally dine out but having sampled the restaurant on our first night we rebooked for a second night. The food was superb and the staff all took real pride in delivering great service. Last but not least the spa area looks like it was built yesterday. It is immaculate, peaceful and a wonderful addition for guests tired after a day exploring the local towns which are very hilly! ( comfortable shoes are a must). Thank you to all the wonderful staff. Your hotel is an absolute gem which we are delighted we stumbled upon.

Vistas y ubicación únicas. Edificio con solera. Habitaciones amplias. Colchones cómodos. Comida y desayuno aceptable. En el desayuno poco espacio para servirte y que la gente pase. El estacionamiento es exterior y aparca cualquiera. Esto es una asignatura pendiente. Ya no es que no tengas sitio siendo huesped, es que hay semejante rotación de gente que aparca con prisas que es difícil no te den algún golpe de puerta. Definitivamente falta personal, son pocos y están para todo. La salida ”normal” del hotel es a traves de la cafetería y se sale a la explanada a nivel con la entrada a la cueva de la Virgen y la Basílica. El problema es que cierra a las 19:00 h. y si vas con gente con problemas de movilidad, que no pueda usar escaleras, no queda otra que bajar a la planta de recepcion POR LA CARRRETERA y de noche. Es urgente que pongan una salida, paralela a la cafetería, directa a la citada explanada. Hay otra pequeña cafetería o pub, que abre a las 18:00 horas, atendido por personal de recepción. Resumen: estancia agradable y poblemas fácilmente solucionables y sí, más personal, por favor.

Stay here for 2 nights The hostel is located in the heart of the historic centre Oviedo, just one street away from the bustling Plaza de la Constitución and City Hall of Oviedo. The hostel is about 15 minutes walk from the main bus and train station in the city and pretty easy to find once I find my way to the city hall. Check-in was really straightforward as the hostel asked me to check in online and all reception needed was my passport to confirm my identity. I was shown all around the hostel, including the kitchen, common area and of course the dorm. The dorm was a four bed dorm with 2 bunk beds and an ensuite bathroom with toilet, shower and bathtub. The shower and toilets worked well. The bunks were the wooden frame variety, although it was pretty sturdy. Even though my bunkmate was a bit of a night owl, I still got 2 nights of good sleep. The mattress was some kind of thick foam and really comfortable. The covers were thick and I had asked for an extra blanket. Even though it was cold, it still felt warm and cosy under the blankets. Breakfast was provided and mainly consisted of cereals, toasts and spreads, tea and coffee. Nothing fancy, but good for the price of the stay. The kitchen and plenty of utensils as well as cooking equipment, and could be used by guests for cooking too. The hostel is also situated on two floors, with the upper floor also containing rooms, a kitchen and a terrace. It was too cold to use at this time of the year, but I did wander up and it has a lovely view of the city hall. The hostel, room and bathroom were kept clean throughout my stay. The staff are awesome, friendly and helpful. They have lots of information for things to do and see in Oviedo and the surrounding area. I would have no hesitation staying at Green Hostel again.

Lugar muy acogedor, ubicado muy próximo al centro de Oviedo. Un apartamento muy agradable, espacioso, con pequeño espacio entre baño y habitación, cocina cerrada con todo lo necesario para hacerte lo que necesites. Admiten mascotas y te dejan puesta una sabana en el sofá para que el perro pueda estar y no manche. Muy atentos con lo que puedas precisar. El aparthotel debajo dispone de aparcamiento aunque no lo gestiona la empresa del aparthotel te dan todas las facilidades, incluso se accede del parking a la recepción directamente.

Hotel estupendo cerca del centro. Habitacion espaciosa, con tres camas y almohadas comodisimas. Todo súper limpio. Calidad precio estupendo. Cenamos en la cafetería la noche anterior. Raciones grandes. Un solo camarero muy agradable para todo el servicio de cenas que se desenvolvia estupendamente con todas las mesas. Volveremos seguro cuando nos acerquemos a Oviedo.

Lo primero es que el hotel está en un magnífico sitio, soy minusvalido y voy en silla de ruedas el hotel está totalmente adaptado para nosotros, la habitación es muy amplia y permitirme decir que muy bonita, el servicio de limpieza estupendo, los recepcionistas excelentes muy amables y resolutivos, la comida muy buena. En mi primera experiencia en este hotel ha sido maravillosa y seguro que volveré a él. Recomendable 100%
