The Foundry Suites

A very small, boutique hotel. Great staff. The rooftop garden is the perfect place to have a slow breakfast before heading out into Athens. We felt we were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. And close to so many great restaurants.

It is such a perfect accommodation, extremely spacious rooms/flats, stylish interior design and an impeccable service. The best from two worlds: you have the spaciousness and amenities of an apartment (kitchen, terrace etc) as well as the cleaning service and breakfast of an hotel. We were already looking forward to the wonderful breakfast basket, that is delivered every morning to your room with all the delicious treats of your choice, and at the time it suits you best. So good. But best of all, the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Catarina and Constantina were receiving us in the most friendly way and made us feel like family in Athens. Also the location is just top. We will definitely choose the Foundry again, when back in Athens.

'The Foundry' is a real find! You want to stay here, trust me. A perfect blend of sophisticated + comfortable + cool with staff who truly seem to value your patronage and perhaps even care about you! We were warmly & professionally welcomed by Konstantinos, as he laid out the "house rules" then asked what our goals were for our stay and recommended a few places he felt we might like. Breakfast can be enjoyed in your spacious room or on the rooftop with views of the nearby Acropolis (and other sites!) You can make coffee and food in your room, you can borrow records from the lobby to enjoy in your room, and it's in a quiet pocket just north of the action of Monastraki. This is the type of place I want to stay almost always! Highly recommended.

Amazing boutique hotel in a great location. Close to everything—ruins, shopping, and walkable neighborhoods. Roof top bar is beautiful. Each room is unique and has so many amenities. Custom order breakfast is delivered to the rooftop or your room, all of which are suites. Concierge is friendly and helpful.

Absolutely outstanding! We’ve stayed in a lot of places and this is definitely now a top 10 and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Actually we probably wouldn’t look elsewhere if we come back to Athens. All the staff were amazing and I thank them all for making our stay so comfortable. The breakfast is a highlight, couple that with the view from the roof, and it is a truly memorable moment. Location is perfect and the best place if you like food and outdoor dining in a relaxed yet vibrant area. Metro 5 mins away and easy to navigate. Taxis to and from the airport were arranged for us (taxi back was a funny moment when we ended up in someone else’s taxi :D all makes for a good memory though!). Thank you all :) Fantastic experience and we may well be back X

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay..We like comfortable places that are not huge, have great design and good staff. Neighbourhood is “in transition” and views reflect that. Communication: excellent, i corresponded with them before we came and they answered emails fully and quickly. Then there was advanced checkin to make actual check in faster. And they asked if we had any requests at that time - we actually asked for feather pillows and they answered that they could do that. Staff: Welcoming and extremely helpful from the moment we arrived. Guiding us to good restaurants, to the neighbourhood. Room: Great! 2 story with great design. Not at all typical.well equipped kitchen area and table to sit at. Comfortable sofa to relax. Wonderful light from huge, industrial type window that opened! Super comfortable bed. Great outlet access. Good access for temperature control. Building: just 12 suites- with variety of configurations, great design, modern adaptation of old factory, huge windows, interesting iron work from gates to stairs (last floor). Excellent elevator response - no wait. Rooftop: very special place. View of acropolis. Not at all typical in terms of design, landscaping. But be prepared for Psyrri neighbourhood which is varied…. - abandoned buildings, graffiti, adjacent to restaurants from upscale to basic, mixed in with tourist shopping and a multitude of smaller hotels. It is not Kolonaki! AND there is no restaurant onsite/ rooftop bar operates til end of september so your breakfast is delivered to you in a basket on the rooftop or in your room. Choices are plentiful, and there is more food than you could want for breakfast. Again, it isn’t as flexible as might be in places that have their own kitchen, but food was very good and delightfully delivered. Despite these last comments, they do not detract from the appeal of this place. We would absolutely stay there again as it totally enhanced our Athens experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Foundry Suite (K2). The front desk staff was super helpful and friendly throughout the stay. Konstantinos provided tips for navigating the city and greeted us with a smile each day. His two colleagues were also great (sorry - forgot the names). The apartments are a perfect way to feel home away from home and a nice re entry from the island tour we had previously. I selected based on location, design and apartment type. The units are beautifully appointed and look exactly like the photos :-) The Rooftop garden is a nice bonus and it has a wonderful view of the Acropolis. Location is walkable to surrounding neighborhoods and/or a taxi ride away. We enjoyed being somewhat tucked away from the high tourist traffic areas. Highly recommend this property for your stay.

Perfect hideaway location with easy walking access to Athens main sites. We stayed in room A0 and found that the ground floor location was tucked away just off reception. The room was really spacious with a lovely bedroom, 2 shower rooms and a really lovely living/kitchen area. For a 5 night break in February the location was ideal. The area felt safe and lively, with lots of choice for places to eat and some amazing street art. The deli breakfast is served in very cute picnic baskets, fresh everyday with the option to eat on the roof terrace depending on the weather. The whole team were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned daily. You've got apartment living with hotel standards.

My husband and I stayed one week in December and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved having separate living and sleeping areas and the kitchen came in handy too. It had everything we needed--comfortable beds, high end linens, good water pressure in the shower, and strong WiFi. Walking distance to all the major sites and in a neighborhood we loved with lots of non-tourist stores like spice shops and food goods. My favorite store was a large building with nothing but a huge assortments of ribbons! All the people staffing the reception area could not have been kinder or more helpful, especially when a taxi strike hit Athens and we had too much luggage to take the metro to the airport. They saved us by finding a van to take us there. The rooftop garden is lovely and the views of the Acropolis are a knockout! But, perhaps our favorite thing about this stay was breakfast. The day before, you are able to order from an extensive breakfast menu from a deli across the street. The delicious food shows up at your requested time each morning in a picnic basket to be eaten in your room or up on the rooftop garden. Wonderful idea! We loved the flexibility of being able to eat at the dining table in the comfort of our room, but took our coffee up to the roof. If you're coming to Athens and you want more comfort than a cramped hotel room, we highly recommend The Foundry Suites Hotel!
