This was a great hotel. Convenient to good local restaurants and transportation. The facilities were very clean. Rooms were spacious. Nice bathrooms with very useful amenities. The large walk-in, tile, no door shower had a rain head and a handheld shower head.

The room we stayed in was very large and beautiful. The staff was friendly and readily available around the clock. We stayed in a room with an acropolis view and it was nice to hang out on the balcony and look out after sunset. This hotel is very accessible to most things and the bus stop is right across the street in case you want to wander a little further. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby walking distance with late hours. There are a few major shopping streets right around the corner as well. I would definitely stay here again if traveling to Athens in the future.

This hotels pool is CLOSED. The hotel does not have air condition in their rooms. Drapes are dirty and the building looks run down. If this is a 5 star hotel I am llama !! Location is good and staff is good. Breakfast was cold and greasy with sugary juices that tasted like Tang. Nice view on the balcony but they are too cheap to heat their pool in the winter!!! I would never stay there again!!

I traveled here with my sister and adult daughter for a short stay before a cruise. The location is amazing. Hotel is located in a quiet area not far from Acropolis Musem and hop on/off bus stop is 2 blocks away. We had a lovely view of acropolis from our balcony, and I had mentioned it was my daughter's birthday, so we were given a nice fruit basket with other goodies to celebrate. There are a few restaurants nearby and a bakery which has excellent sandwiches. The included breakfast was very filling and offered eggs, sausages, several varieties of breads and rolls, fruit, awesome yoghurt, spanakopita, cereal, juice, and numerous baked goods. The room was very clean and had some storage and a mini fridge. There is a rooftop deck, but the stairs are very narrow. The staff was very friendly and very helpful with offering advice on things to see and giving great directions. The area is very safe and the hotel provides maps and access to guidebooks in their lobby. I would stay here again.

Amazing location. Our room overlooked the Acropolis as you can see from the picture. But also the best shops, restaurants, everything are right there in Plaka. Wonderful restaurant from top of the building. Price was good. Best of all was the AMAZING customer service. We had to leave for the airport at 4:30 AM. They were nice enough to have a breakfast waiting for us at 3:45. At no charge. I mean what hotel does that? That's just one example. They provided electricity converter things for our USA plugs. Again, no extra charge. Need ice? No problem; they go get it from their restaurant. I just can't say enough Amazingly wonderful experience at this hotel!

This hotel is highly recommend for both its LOCATION and very efficient/PROFESSIONAL staffs at reception! From Monastiraki a 7min walk / frm Syntagma 3mins walk! Buffet breakfast; EXCELLENT! I arrived on the day where the public road was closed due to an annual street demonstration, not to mention the fatigue I’m encountering after traveling for 3 months BUT the great hospitality at Arethusa made everything pleasant. Rooftop terrace at Lvl 9 gives a view of Acropoli, PERFECT! Room is well equipped, SPOTLESSLY CLEAN! Standing shower has a great water pressure.Extra comforter is provided in cupboard which is very helpful during this winter. A/C heater in room works well too! Arethusa Hotel deserves a better grade for its excellent service/quality! I am glad i managed to book a room with them! Highly recommend to both solo travellers or couple, street is quiet/safe in the night. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFFS OF ARETHUSA!

I didn't arrive until late at the hotel & was greeted by a lovely man on reception who gave me a free room upgrade to a four person room as it had a bigger bed. The rooms are decorated tastefully but not cluttered, the bed was super comfortable & the shower was great. I really liked the aesthetic the room, modern & understated. The main reason I chose this hotel was it's location as it's a 6min walk from the metro station at syntagma square where you can get a metro from the airport for 9euros! It also meant everything I wanted to see in Athens was within a 20minute walking distance & there was plenty of places to eat & shop around. As a solo traveller I also looked at the reviews for this hotel which helped me to make my decision, I felt completely safe in the hotel & in the city even walking around later at night as it was always busy & most of the locals are extremely pleasant & helpful. The only draw back was as I was in a room that was above the road I sometimes could hear bikes or music at night but nothing excessive & it didn't disturb my sleep. It's to be expected staying in the city centre really. I also would of loved a kettle in my room but that's me being fussy & you get a complimentary continental breakfast which is very generous really. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Great location in short walking distance to Monastiraki and Ermou. Direct connection with Metro from/to Airport. Fast and efficient check-in. Great view to Acropolis from our room and and from roof top. Room was simple, very clean with comfortable beds. Nice breakfast room with good variety of food. Would recommend and return.

So gracious and helpful! The hotel is a sweet little boutique hotel in a perfect location and very safe. Two blocks from Monastiraki Plaka and the Flea Market, which is at the base of the Acropolis. This Plaka is also where you can get the Hop on Hop off bus- tickets we got at the hotel. Totally renovated, compact room with all that you need. Only complaint, they could have extended the bathroom counter so we could put things there. Our room was on the street but still very quiet. The breakfast is optional - we didn’t partake but it looked fresh and plentiful. We had two nights here before a cruise and after our cruise we had 12 hours before our flight so they wonderfully held our bags (no charge) for us so we could explore some more of Athens . They were so accommodating , arranging transfers and mailing postcards for us. Bottom line, fabulous experience.

When writing this review I was conflicted between giving the Delphi Art Hotel 3/4 stars. The location is highly convenient for sightseeing, considering it has a metro station a mere 300m from it. This metro has a direct link to the Acropolis just three stops away and allows you to access with relative ease much of Athens. Within the vicinity (10-15 minute walk) there are lots of very good restaurants and bars. However, be prepared to see many people using injectable drugs during broad daylight and within busy streets right outside the hotel - according to locals, a big issue currently in Athens and more specifically within Omonia. We had a room facing inside, which was cold, with no heater and poorly decorated, however they moved us without issue the following day. We asked for a front facing room with a street view. The decor in this room was much improved and it was reasonably sized, with a heater. The room was clean and soaps were replenished daily. The bathrooms had good facilities and showers were excellent with strong water pressure and constant hot water. Service was good: staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was inclusive and reasonable - I was a large fan of the filter coffee, which was refillable! We were half board, therefore breakfast and dinner was also included. The dinner was not our favourite, made worse by the fact there was no choice! Though, having said that, the salad was different each day and mostly enjoyable!

Very good experience! The front desk is friendly. She upgraded me to a double bed, even though I live alone. There's a bar and jacuzzi on the roof. Bath supplies are complete. Eye masks and earplugs are also provided. The decor is vintage and tasteful, with a record and a record player in the room. Breakfast dishes are extensive, with Greek yogurt and honey as well as Greek salad and feta, which are delicious.

Lovely hotel only a couple of hundred yards / metres from Syntagma Square and the Parliament building. Do go and see the guards in their historic and symbolic costumes honouring the tomb of Greece’s Unknown Warrior. Despite being on the main high street of the shopping district this hotel is an oasis of calm. Stunning top floor restaurant/ breakfast area which provides a marvellous view to the Acropolis and Parthenon. Friendly and helpful staff, rooms cleaned and towels changed daily. I would definitely stay here again sometime.

This hotel is beautiful. Situated on Omonia Square. We were welcomed by friendly staff offering us Prosecco . We also had water and a small bottle of Prosecco in our room. Rooms are small but this is expected in a city hotel. Great rooftop pool. Wonderful breakfast which is served until 12pm and you can have cups to take away coffee. If you book balcony room make sure you book urban balcony room as classic balcony rooms have view of derelict building. The only downside to this hotel is the lifts. There are 2 lifts and they are always full and slow. We were on 6th and ended up walking the stairs most of the time. Metro station is opposite the entrance to the hotel and hop on hop off buses stop opposite the hotel. Lovely square to walk around but I would not walk off the square as a lot of homeless people in the streets.

I arrived around 1 am and was worried the hotel might be closed for the night. However they have 24hr service so you can check in at any time. The women who worked at nights was very helpful and told me to ask her if I needed to find anything and she’ll tell me where to go. The room itself was clean and came with all you need for the price I payed. The location is amazing, right in the centre and a short walk away from most of the main attractions that you’ll want to be seeing.

I stayed for one week in a double room. The room was quiet, bed and pillows were comfortable. Wardrobe with a few hangers. Shower room was a bit small but clean and the shower was warm and powerful. The hotel is a minute walk to the centre square and subway station. Great location for the traveller and tourist. All hotel staff were chatty and very helpful.

I almost hate to give this secret gem away. Phaedra is a phenomenal place to stay in Athens. I believe I located this property through one of the many guidebooks that I skimmed and I am so happy that I did. I popped in and out of Athens during my time in Greece and stayed in a few different spots — Phaedra’s location was by far the best and absolutely phenomenal. The property has a lift in case you have heavy luggage or cannot walk up stairs. There is breakfast available that you can preorder the night before (I did not take advantage of that, as I am an early bird.) The property is surprisingly very quiet for its central location. The roof deck is amazing! One morning that I had a lie in, I watched the sunrise from there instead of going to one of the nearby hills. The location was so convenient that I was able to pop in and out during the day if I needed to drop things off. The staff (Marianna and her associates) were absolutely phenomenal. What matters most to me: cleanliness! And this property was so, so clean! Thank you for a great stay.

Reception was really kind to let us leave our luggage with them. We also reached earlier before check in time and our rooms were ready, didn’t have to wait too long for check in. Booked the room with city view and could see a very pretty church right outside. Breakfast provided was yummy too! Rooms were clean and comfy. Overall a nice little hotel!

Highly recommend these fabulous apartments! The owners are easily contactable and incredibly helpful. It is in easy walking distance to Plaka, the metro and the tram. Loads of lovely restaurants and all the historic sites in easy reaching distance. The apartment was spotlessly clean with lots of extra amenities. The balcony has good views and the air con is a blessing. Highly recommend!

Non vi è una vera e propria reception; nell'appartamento cucina con tutto il necessario. Non è compresa una colazione, magari in convenzione con i numerosi bar vicini, ma vi è macchina caffe nespresso, bustine di tea e du minibscottini. Prezzo non bassissimo ma proporzionato sia al periodo (17 agosto 2023) che al livrllo qualitativo generale. Consigliabile

Truly enjoyed our days in downtown Athens at he New Hotel. Dined on the New Hotel roof deck bathed in the evening lights of the Acropolis. When the Greek transit workers staged a one day strike, Spiros walked us and our luggage across downtown Athens, among the barricades of protesters and police, delivering us safe to our destination. We cannot wait to return to Athens and the New Hotel :-)

Camera spaziosa con box doccia molto grande e balcone. Il personale è sempre stato estremamente gentile e disponibile: ci hanno sempre chiesto se la notte avessimo dormito bene e se la camera era sufficientemente silenziosa. L'albergo è a pochi passi da una delle stazioni della metropolitana (Viktoria), per cui è facilissimo spostarsi nella città. Di notte la zona non dà una buona impressione, ma forse è solo un pregiudizio. In ogni caso, a noi non è mai successo nulla di male.

Bilik itu kemas dan bersih! Terdapat air yang jatuh di pintu masuk, yang menyusahkan untuk masuk. Bangunan pangsapuri berada di belakang bangunan hotel, luarannya kelihatan biasa-biasa saja, tetapi bahagian dalamnya tidak buruk. Tiada lampu jalan di jalan di pintu masuk bangunan pangsapuri, dan selalunya ada gelandangan yang datang dan pergi, jadi berhati-hati pada waktu malam. Sikap layanan pembantu kedai sangat baik. Apartmen ini mempunyai dapur dan tiada mesin basuh, tetapi terdapat balkoni di hadapan dan belakang, yang tidak buruk.

Delightfully cozy and well appointed rooms which are conveniently located. We walked with ease to all the sites, restaurants, and shopping. The onsite restaurant was incredible. Breakfast included is a must as you order from the menu not a buffet! Dinner and cocktails in the evening feature live music. The staff is gracious and warm. The room was very comfortable and we had all we needed. When in Athens, stay here!!

Excelente ubicación muy cerca de la estación de subte y a solo una estación del centro. . Barrio muy tranquilo con opciones gastronómicas en cercanía y por la noche muy iluminado. Las habitaciones muy silenciosas y a pesar de ser compartidas, mucha intimidad ya que cada cama cuenta con un cortinado, luz de noche y enchufe. Cuenta con una terraza maravillosa !!!!. El desayuno con opciones variadas, saludable, todo rico y a muy buen precio. Destaco la cordialidad y solidaridad de Mariano de recepción, quien se puso a disposición para orientarme y ayudarme en como manejarme en la ciudad (transporte público, sitios turísticos de interés, etc,), ya que era mi primera vez en Atenas y no conocía nada. 'Mil Gracias Marian !!!!!!! Sin dudas volvería a hospedarme en el Hostel y por supuesto lo recomiendo. Soy Jorgelina de Córdoba, Argentina

Well, well, well, what can i write or say about this gem. The Electra Palace Hotel, located bang in the middle of downtown Athens is absolutely superb. Everything the city has to offer is within walking distance from the hotel. The view of the Acropolis from our room is spectacular, not to mention the to ”die-for” view from the 8th floor restaurant - you can ”touch” the Acropolis from here!😄 The breakfast at the Electra Palace is top notch and is delicious. The service at the hotel is top notch, and one of the best I have ever experienced in over 30 years of travelling. The staff, from the concierge to the receptionists, and restaurant staff, all provided extremely high professional services. I will single out George, the receptionist, who made us feel extremely welcome with one of the biggest smiles and professional services I have ever experienced. George has a saying each time we interacted with him, and it was ”each time you smile, good things will always come your way.” This saying came through when George found my brand new Samsung Ear Bud after I lost it and the hotel began a whole day of searching inside the hotel and outside at the restaurants we visited. Thank you, George, you're the best. Also, Dimitris, who helped us with our luggages was fantastic. All in all, Electra Palace Hotel is a superb hotel, and we will definitely go back there.
