The single room is really tiny. Please upgrade to super single room. Our room was not ready after 5 pm. Reception told us they are doing final inspection to ensure there’s a fruit basket in the room for us. It’s a LIE! Not only there’s no fruit basket, there’s also no bottled water provided !
Other than this, overall the stay is good!

I travel a lot and usually stay at the 5 star chains. . When I was told to stay in central Auckland, looked on Trip and my choices were between Abstract and the Mercure similar price deals. I opted for this small hote and paid for a night with breakfast.l. I was glad I did. It was a comfortable little place. The front desk staff were lovely. I checked in after a hard day of meetings and my China Union pay couldn't process the deposit. It was raining in Auckland and I.had no cash. The receptionists professionally let me through (they could probably tell that I'd had a hard day!). Studio room I had was just right for me. Water preassure in the shower was great. They had nice hot chocolate and mugs were big so you can warm your hands They had two small counters for breaklast, but they had all the usual breakfast goodness with falafel also. The owner may be Greek. Breakfast staff seemed genuinely happy to be serving breakfast shift. I was tired and asked if I could have a late check~out. Receptionists smilingly obliged. I'd return to this hotel any winter day in Auckland. Thank you for listing it Trip!

Great location that is near to cbd. Have tried two restaurants near the hotel and that’s great. Easy for some nights when lazy. Room is good with kitchen, laundry and sitting room area. A nice chocolate welcome gift. Sweet. 10-15mins walk to pier that open a new world to different islands like Waiheke or Tira Tira. Love and enjoy the start.

I like the place and by the name itself it’s already a very clean and stylish as well as first class. But, unfortunately when we came to the hotel our rooms not ready yet and we have to wait for more than an hour. We booked the hotel for a long time and we checked in late but the hotel personnel did not inform us beforehand that our rooms not yet ready which is really inconvenient. The other thing my son complained about is that there ‘s no microwave where we can heat the baby food or milk. We’ve been to other hotels before and microwave’s included in the rooms. Probably it’s our negligence too for not checking before booking the rooms. But hope in the future we expect that if we book the rooms before hand at least the staff will inform us if it’s not yet ready so we can plan ahead and not rush to check in.

Holiday Inn Express is one of my favorite hotels during my 2-week stay in New Zealand. It is located in the heart of Auckland’s cbd area and close to everything (shops, restaurants, bars, harbor). It is a 6-minute walk to the Sky Tower where you can pick up the Airport Express bus for $17 nzd. The hotel entrance is on a significant incline. The reception is on the 2nd floor which you can take either an elevator or escalator up. The cafeteria and small lounge are to the right of the reception desk. Breakfast was the usual scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, toast, yogurt, cereal, fruits, muffins, and other pastries. Due to the high volume of clients the 2 coffee machines were usually low on milk to make certain coffee drinks. I love the room set up. The closet is across of the bathroom and had plenty of room for your luggage. The shower is enclosed in a glass cube with wave designs. A nightlight in the bathroom saved on electricity if you need a little light to move around the room. The bed was comfortable and the a/c worked. The reception staff was kind to let me stay an extra hour past the check-out time for the room that I had with my tour. The room that I booked after the tour was ready early and I got to settle in at 11 am before my afternoon tour. Construction is happening around the hotel with the streets being torn up and a new building under construction next to the hotel. The hotel is well insulated that I couldn’t hear any of the construction.

This is definitely the best hotel with top service in Auckland. We were on a group tour and stayed in several hotels all over the country, Horizon stood out as the most accommodating, comfortable, and friendly. It's just a few minutes walk from Weta, the neighborhood is clean, modern and convenient, surrounded by convenient stores and restaurants. I carelessly left my spare phone in a hotel in Wellington, and I am super grateful that the Concierge at Horizon went out of their way to help get it back... (it was a slightly complicated situation as I left New Zealand before the phone reached Horizon).

OK, it's a great hotel, excellent rooms, supplies, service, nothing wrong there. I only have two complaints, and it starts with their breakfast lounge Advieh. Excellent food, indeed beautiful, but it does not require loud music. People are there for breakfast, not for loud music, which is obviously only for the staff, not for customers. Make it more welcoming please. And the other problem is the access if you're driving. There is valet parking, but the area is very inconspicuous and it will be invariably occupied by taxis, often in two or three rows. The unadvised driver will not be able to stop, or drive in, unless you want to stop all traffic behind you as you wait for the taxis to move out. So do not try to turn left and drive around again, as traffic directions will take you all over the North Island before you make it back to the hotel. Just carry on on the same street for another block and you will drive around this massive car park, overnight cheaper than the hotel valet ($40, as opposed to $80 at the hotel) and you can comfortably walk to the hotel directly through a covered pedestrian walkway above the street. But if you do want to use the valet service at the hotel front, do stop by the taxis, honk like crazy and they will slowly move away to allow your car through - remember, that is your spot, not theirs. But I honestly advise anyone to use Uber to get to this hotel, and not drive in.

首先入住很好 碰巧遇到我們華人前台 王先生 態度和服務絕對一流 讓你覺得回家了的氛圍 不怕麻煩 呆我參觀了房型 換房 但酒店也僱傭了其他亞裔 比如馬來西亞🇲🇾人 據説還是我們中國🇨🇳的領導在酒店 退房時提前一天個酒店人員溝通了 是否可以安排延遲退房 因為五星級都會有這個優享服務給客人 都很寬鬆 衹是你需要提前打好招呼告知 在房間充足的前提下 都不會有問題 而柏悦跟我溝通的一位女士 也承諾了給我2pm退房 第二天因為我有事在外面 但是也不想多佔用人家酒店房間 就告之攜程的酒店客服 跟酒店聯繫 可以直接把我行李拉下來 我回去直接chk out就可以了 然而等我回酒店告知我要多收我半天費用 因為我2pm沒有回來 是4pm回來的 且他們沒有權利拿客人行李 所有這些個説辭 來自於馬來西亞🇲🇾前台的所謂領導 直接刷了我的認知 全世界五星級酒店住了那麼多 第一次碰到五星級酒店行為是三星級處理方案的酒店 好 老孃也不幹了 反正最後是贏了 寫這麼多就是想要給大家提醒 出門在外 別被不友好的亞裔欺負 首先2pm到點要charge我 可以 你要電話告知我 在沒有告知我前提下 且我讓攜程聯繫他們 告知可以chk out 是他們各種bb不去搬行李 然後讓我出半天費用 noway

Loved our stay. It was like hotels used to be. Lots of complimentary items. You could literally just walk in with your clothes. Awesome having a bar and restaurant on site. Parking was excellent. Airport shuttles come to the hotel and it has a heated pool. Highly recommend.

PPengguna TetamuThis is an excellent place to stay if you're transiting through Auckland airport. Being an exceptionally easy, 2 minute walk from the international terminal means that you're not having to juggle shuttle buses and whatnot. Staff are friendly and attentive, and the rooms have everything you could need for an overnight stay. The whole place feels fresh and new. Highly recommend.

She was from Nepal and her name was candita- I’m sorry I don’t remember it accurately. She took the time to help me order an Uber and suggested the haka demonstration at the museum. Her bright smile and helpfulness made my trip so much better

The beds were super comfortable (seriously, best hotel sleep I’ve had in years), the bathroom was spacious, and it was nice to stay out of the chaos of the Auckland CBD for once. We would happily stay here again and will be recommending it to our friends and family in the future. They do let you know with a note card that they’re short-staffed and advise you of what their current process is, but this was not a downside at all for us. It’s a good place to stay if you are happy to be self-sufficient and can handle sleeping on the same sheets for a couple of nights (better for the environment anyway!) Thanks guys, we’ll be back!

PPengguna TetamuWe began and ended our stay in New Zealand here. My sister and I had stayed here on our last trip to NZ and had been so comfortable we wanted to do so again. When we arrived in Auckland we were given a nice 2 bedroom suite overlooking the park. I think it must have been a handicapped suite as the bathroom was a wet room, which was a little odd, but we got used to it, otherwise very nice. When we checked in again at the end of our trip, a few days before flying home, we were surprised and delighted to find that we had been upgraded to a 3 bedroom, 2 bath penthouse suite. It was huge, with a great view of downtown Auckland and the Skytower. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the beds comfortable, and the little cafe downstairs quite convenient. Buses for Inner Link stop right outside, and it's about a 15 minute walk downtown. New World supermarket is about 5 minutes away. Tip: if walking downtown, go via Halsey Street down to the harbour, you will avoid the hills.

PPengguna TetamuTotally disappointed in our two night stay here. This premise also goes under the name 'Auckland Airport Kiwi Hotel' and Auckland Airport Kiwi Backpackers', the Backpackers has now been turned into what is called 'Premier studio apartments'.'. When we arrived the lady at reception stated that she had only debited our card for the first night, we were to pay for our second night when checking out. Our 'Premier Studio Apartment' was clearly an ex backpacker room, our lawn view was 2 mtrs of unmown grass which looked straight into the rooms across from us. The room was clean enough but extremely under equipped. We had booked for 3 people, we had 2 towels, 2 facecloths, no hand towel, no tea towel or dish cloth. After the 3rd ask for these items we finally received two extra facecloths to be used as a tea towel and dishcloth, eww! The kitchen had 1 fork, 1 teaspoon, 3 knives and large spoons, 1 glass, no wine glasses. Odd cups and plates of various sizes. There was a microwave and hotplates but no other utensils at all besides the bits and pieces mentioned. No Ice tray. No coathangers. The bathroom light flickered constantly, there was rubbish under the beds, and on further inspection, the fire alarm did not contain a battery. (illegal) On checking out was told that our account had been settled. Inspection of bank account showed that our 2nd night had been deducted two hours after we had checked in and an extra $4.50 had been taken. Asked on their chat window (which is how we booked our stay due to no one answering the phone, ever) and was emailed back, them stating that this extra cost was due to paying by Visa. No mention of this throughout our booking or on their website. Would not stay here again.

PPengguna TetamuSecond stay in 3 months. Service was great at reception and the restaurant. Food was exceptional. My room had everything I needed - comfy bed, good shower, clean and spacious. I was well rested for early morning flight and caught the free shuttle. Thank you for a great stay.

PPengguna TetamuThe staff were friendly and helpful.Great having the free shuttle to the airport as part of their service . The room was nice and roomy and clean,bed comfortable. Was disappointed there wasn't an extra blanket in the wardrobe as I was quite cold overnight.There was no information in the room about the services offered in hotel and times so I didn't have to ring up or go down to find out. There was no emergency safety exit plan in the room

This property has much to offer but let's themselves down on the smaller details. Rooms were huge and well appointed, quiet, great off street parking and extremely comfortable. However many items were not overly clean, outdoor area littered, window sills, oven, microwave, fridge and crockery/cutlery needed attention. Before daring to eat off crockery or drink from glasses (that were filthy) we had to clean, they were unhygienic. Oven had leftovers on the base, microwave had splatter from previous guests and fridge was not clean. Given COVID I would have expected a much higher level of cleaning however they have obviously relied on previous guests to clean sufficiently, this was not the case. However when we addressed with cleaning staff they were lovely and accommodating and cleaned window sills. We arrived at 1700hrs we had anticipated an earlier arrival but due to flight delays we were a few hours later (reception open until 1900hrs so we were not concerned) however was closed. We called the number on the door and were given a lockbox number, keys retrieved to room but they had not been allocated and we could not access. Thankfully another couple had already called reception and they were en-route so this problem was solved quickly. Also staff advised that we had been inadvertently charged twice and refund was in process however 7 days later no refund for over-charge has been processed. This is a great property, cleaning ladies were lovely but Management just need to get the basics right. Reception should be available as stated, rooms and amenities should be cleaned and outdoor areas need attention. I would stay here again and I can recommend but please Management address the issues we have raised. This will elevate your property rating considerably with little effort. I would have liked to address these issues directly with Management however as we were busy and office often closed, we did not have the opportunity to address directly when we were in residence.
