Girls at reception are very unhelpful and quite rude to deal with. Not welcoming and warm at all. Poor customer service and communication skills on show. We checked in late after a very long drive frim just outside wellington. They were not willing to assist us in any way for a late check out next day even after we explained our flights got delayed until the evening. They showed very little care about this i even offered to pay for it. Zero care was shown to us. Room was very basic, next to no amenities, dusty and dirty room. My wife was sneezing all night since she entered the room. Dust found all over the room which was quite a letdown as you expect a high level of cleanliness a premier stay. The only people with manners and an ounce of customer service was the concierge. 2 weeks prior to this let down we stayed at the grand which id across the road. Complete opposite experience was had. The customer service was friendly and accomodating. Room was very impressive, clean and had a lot of amenities available. I will be going back here next time iim Auckland. Staff at sky city need to check themselves, they not as good as they think they are.
