B&B HOTEL Bad Hersfeld

A simple review for a simple hotel. Clean rooms and a comfortable bed. One of the only hotels in Bad Hersfeld with aircon, so a must in the summer. Low water pressure in the showers (I’ve stayed here multiple times, and this seems to affect the whole building). Simple breakfast, which isn’t replaced quickly enough when items run out and staff nowhere to be found. If you’re not in a rush, perfectly fine. However, at €10.50, steep considering there are so few choices and all sliced options most certainly come from the nearest discounter. I’ll stay here again - simple to find, parking (€10) and clean. But my next breakfast will be twice as good for half the price at the local bakery. Or, perhaps a McMuffin….

The hotel is situated a short walk from the centre of the city, taking only 10min at most to walk. Easy parking, clean rooms, air conditioning (the only hotel I’ve stayed in so far in this city with ac - an absolute must for the summer). Check in was a polite and friendly affair. Comfortable bed, small yet functional bathroom. Most importantly, clean! But this is where I feel for minimal extra cost, improvements could be made. There is only a paper cup for water in the room. No bottle of water (although snacks are available from reception). The water pressure was very low in the shower. Overkill on bio produce - for €10, the breakfast is adequate (no hot option, but that’s ok). Does everything need to be labelled as bio? The breakfast room was 25C and far too hot. I’ll stay here again when next on business (1 per month in Bad Hersfeld). But not until I need aircon. There are much better hotels for a similar price in the city.
