This quaint little resort is situated in perfect distance from the whale sharks and island tour across the water. This hotel is not for the faint hearted, as you do have to climb up a few flights of stairs on the outside to get down and up, but if you’re here for a day or two it’s a great place to watch the sunrise and spend a relaxing day. The hotel has pool facilities and a great bar menu, which served the best fruit shakes and appetizing meals, local and foreign. The room itself is basic and although there were more than a few bugs, if you’re wearing mosquito spray and do not leave food in the room, you’ll be fine!

The owner and staff here are amazing, if you are doing whale watching and Sumilon island I recommend this hotel, they shuttle you to the whale watching site and help you register and and then they will take you back to the hotel 100% recommend if you want to do those activities. The only downside is the towels we received was not very absorbent. If you want to go to sumilon island it’s 1500 pesos for a boat but if you share with 8 others it will be cheaper.

Hotel wybrany na jedną noc w celu wycieczki na rekiny wielorybie. Spełnił oczekiwania. Mały pokój i lazienka z kawałkiem tarasu. Ogromny plus dla personelu. Wycieczka się przedluzyla, nie zdążyliśmy na śniadanie. Mimo tego przygotowali je specjalnie dla nas.

We stayed at Ging Ging Hotel and Resort during our weekend Round South Trip. It is a great place to stay especially when you are with your kids and the while family. 🙋‍♀️ ACCOMMODATING & FRIENDLY STAFF Their staff has been so accommodating and friendly. From the time we arrived until we left. They let us stay even we arrived earlier than the check in time. They let us place our food in the Bar's freezer for free. Aside from that, they are very responsive in messenger whenever we have some queries. 🛏️ ROOM IS CLEAN AND A COMFORTABLE TO STAY We stayed in different rooms since there are 14 of us. And yet, all rooms are clean and enough to accommodate us all. There is a TV, a little balcony and a hot & cold shower. In our room, we have a mini ref too. ⛱️ TWO SWIMMING POOLS & A BEACH We all enjoyed a lot especially the kids because we were able to swim all we want. There are 2 swimming pools on each side. Plus the beach. You can use the pool from 8AM to 9PM. 🥂 BAR FOR FOOD & DRINKS If you don't bring foods and won't like cooking, they have a bar where you can order from. And the rooms come with free breakfast too in the bar. We had our breakfast late so we had few options with the menu. 🏞️ AMAZING VIEW The view is amazing and relaxing. They have a Rooftop where you can stay until 9PM. 🛣️ACCESSIBLE AND EASY TO LOCATE The resort is just along the National road and very easy to locate. It is close to Gaisano Grand and Cuartel of Oslob. Overall, we had a great and fun stay at Ging Ging Hotel & Resort. It is very recommendable especially if you want some quiet and relaxing place. You can bring your own food and cook there for a fee.

Dieses Resort ist sicherlich recht preiswert, leider aber auch mit etlichen Mängeln behaftet. Ich habe das Resort für 3 Nächte als Zwischenstopp gebucht. Leider ist im Umkreis von 2 km kein Restaurant oder eine Garküche vorhanden. Das Resort hat zwar die Möglichkeit auf etwas essbares, allerdings ist das Essen dort fast ungenießbar. Nie habe ich in einem Resort schlechter gegessen. Gebucht hatte ich mit Frühstück, aber zu einem trockenen Toast gab es noch nicht einmal Butter oder Marmelade, mir wurde lediglich Mayonnaise angeboten. Dazu Eier mit Speck. Zum Abend habe ich dann mal ein einfaches Gericht bestellt. Spagetti mit Tomatensauce….die Spagetti weich gekocht, die Tomatensauce aus irgendeinem Tetra Pack. Eklig! Die Zimmer waren sehr klein, aber für den Preis ok, Klimaanlage war vorhanden, ebenso ein TV und eine sehr gute WiFi Verbindung. Dafür gab es kein warm Wasser, war halt defekt. Wer preiswert eine Unterkunft mit Klimaanlage und gutem Internetempfang sucht und sonst auf alles verzichten kann, der kann hier absteigen, allen anderen empfehle ich eine andere Unterkunft.

The hotel is ideal just for a night or two when seeing the whale sharks. It’s basic, as reflected in the price. The rooms were clean, had aircon, shared bathroom with a hot shower. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Only 10 min walk to whale sharks Only issues were that there were mosquitoes in mine & my friends rooms and we both got bitten a lot in the night. Also wifi does not work in the rooms, you have to go on the landing for it to work and then it’s intermittent. Also could do with having extra pillows as just had one thin one. It’s an uphill walk from the whale sharks so you need some level of fitness. But you need a certain level of fitness to even be able to do the whale shark swim anyway

The resort is topnotch! Very nice people that run the place! Clean rooms and pool and the serice is also very good! 5 minute drive with the tricycles to the mall/towns. The workers will also help you with the toursaround cebu! Fixing the guides and everything. 10/10

We stayed just 1 night as we wanted to get up early to see the Whale Sharks. This place did not disappoint very short walk from where the bus drops you in town. Room was spotless great shower and aircon. They offer free filtered water, coffee and tea which is help yourself. The owners are really friendly they sell cold beer same price as in the local shops. Its right on the water and and easy to snorkel from. They organised the Whale watching we just had to be outside where there would be a trike driver where we would give him 400 pesos for his time and 500 pesos for the fee to see the whales. It is well worth it he does everything organises the tickets stays with you till the trip is finished and drives you back. We were going to stay close to where the whale sharks are but I believe everywhere closes at 7pm and did want to get trikes into town to eat

It’s a nice place to stay for a few nights. It’s very unique with it’s Japanese garden type aesthetic with a bar area. There’s even a pan in the middle where you can experience a hot bath like you are being cooked. The staff here are really helpful and really dedicated to making your experience lovely. Plus they have a cute, hardworking staff member there so that’s always a plus! 👍 The area is also close the whale shark tourist attraction and Tumalong falls by car (about 10-15 minutes). If you don’t have a car, the staff will help you plan a tour which includes getting transportation for those tourist areas. The room was decent. Booked a double bedroom on the 2nd floor and it was really nice looking. Also they do have fair room service food pricing and they cook it fresh. Really loved the quiet atmosphere of this lounge, especially at night were it had a gorgeous view. Pros - Fair pricing for the type of room and experience you get - Close to the whale shark and waterfall attractions - Staff can help you book tours if you didn’t plan ahead - Quiet and relaxing outside with a Japanese garden aesthetic - Rooms have AC and hot water - Staff are very helpful and will attend to your every need Cons - The Wi-fi is pretty spotty depending on which room you book, especially on the rooms on the 2nd floor. Sometimes it would find the wi-fi network and then immediately then can’t find it. 1st floor rooms seem to be more consistent with wi-fi compared to the 2nd floor, but some of the 1st floor rooms have a communal bathroom and shower (kind of like US colleges) There is probably a dead zone in the first rooms of the 2nd floor. Getting a stronger/additional wifi extender/receiver probably can fix this - I don’t if it’s just the room I booked, but there were only 3 channels on the tv cable and none of them were watchable. It was kind of surreal since I never seen a lodge with that limited of a cable selection, so don’t plan to be watching cable here when you stay. The good news is that none of the tv ports are blocked off so you can technically connect a HDMI cable if you have one to the tv and hook up an external device like your laptop or Apple TV and watch tv that way. Despite these flaws, I really enjoyed the 1 and half days that I stayed there. It was a place where you can truly relax and meditate after you visit the tourist areas. The wifi issue and the cable issue really didn’t bother me much since this is place you would usually stay for about 1-2 days max to see the attractions and then leave.
