The Forty Eight Resort Candidasa

The Forty Eight is located right next to the Candidasa Lotus Lagoon, with views across it from the restaurant. The rooms could do with a little love (our AC unit was barely working on arrival, the shower drain was blocked and the shower tap came off with first use), but the staff are super helpful and were always happy to go the extra mile. This is a super affordable hotel with a great pool. A little more maintenance on the rooms and it would be amazing. Would still happily visit again.

It is perfect place to escape from the hustle dynamic. So relaxing and peaceful, I will definitely come back here 🙏🏻

Really comfortable bed. Great location next to the lotus lagoon and a few restaurants. Staff very friendly. Pool table at the front. Cabanas for use at the pool. Outdoor shower and huge indoor shower and lovely maintained gardens surrounding. Round plug adapter required as doesn’t have flat plugs but others probably are aware of this!

Recently stayed for one night only. The room was need of refurbishment. The toilet didn’t flush. Ants in the room. Air conditioner barely worked. The small room had no air conditioning and was uncomfortable to sleep. Slept on small fold up bed. I was glad that I was only spending one night. Disappointing considering the photos looked really good

Comfortable bed, good shower…what else do you need? The pool is stunning, the grounds are beautiful and the staff are amazing. There’s a restaurant attached and for the price, I doubt there’s anything else better in all of Candidasa. This place is so amazing.

It really was the best bed we have slept in this holiday. Cosy with nice pillows and very clean. The complex is rather nice with sweet little cabins around the pool and well kept gardens. A good breakfast with plenty of coffee as we need. Helpful pleasant staff so who would need for more. We are very happy here and recommend the 48 unreservedly. There are some super places to eat close buy and good little places for your holiday souvenirs. All reasonably priced as well. We took a boat ride with Made out the front on the beach, had a brilliant time on the traditional boat. We are an older couple and everyone has been very kind. Will be back again.

We recently spent three nights at this small hotel and really enjoyed it. We stayed in a deluxe Villa, which was adjacent the large pool, cabanas and lovely gardens. Location is great, within walking distance to shops, restaurants, spas etc. Our Villa was super clean, comfortable, with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Decorative towel arrangement a nice surprise. The new manager, Wisna, and all staff are friendly, efficient and helpful, Included breakfast overlooking the Lotus Lagoon was varied and delicious. They also have extensive menu for lunch and dinner. Highly recommended for your stay in Canggu.

Following on from my review earlier.i must say the staff have made amends and done a fabulous job .full refund given to us. The staff have gone above and beyond to help thank you all so much . It makes us very happy wirh the outcome . We will recommend how good staff are and great location .if looking for a quiet getaway

On arrival this place looked lovely On first night used toilet and thete was water all over the floor. On close inspection coyld see that sealant on base of toilet wasn't working, so used toilet all night without flushing . Told staff I the morning and they said will fix but it will need time for sealant to dry and smell to go so we said we will stay out until 4 pm to give time to dry. Came home dressed for dinner then went out without using toilet .after arriving home around 8pm use toilet and it doesn't 😳 flush. Alert staff in the morning. They said will fix so we said we will govout again for a couple hours as we did. Came back to get out of heat and to utilise our room that we've not really been able to use apart from Sleeping in it.staff where just finishing fixing it so waited outside for 10 minutes. Went to see reception about refund for tonight and was told we could get $40 back we paid $59. Said I wasn't happy with that to ask manager to give full amount back it's now 3 hours later not heard from. Anyone and just gone to use toilet again and guess what not working. So so frustrating
