Pros: Comfortable bed, surprisingly fast wifi 40mb/s and good breakfast. Jack’s family are very friendly and we love all their pets. Cons: Zero soundproofing, the walls are not connected to the roof, so you can hear the conversations from the connecting guest room and all kinds of noise at midnight. Grab is not available in Sidemen, you have to pay 500k rupees or 33 USD for the ride to get out of Sidemen, double the price of Grab. We joined a half day tour with the host Jack, the restaurant he took us to was FULL of flies, don't recommend. P.S. After my 8/10 review on booking, Jack told me to "stay in the hotel and don't make a tour". Is this how balinese treat guests? We made several tours in Bali but no tour guides invited us to have lunch with dozens of flies on the table.

Jack and his friend Gusti made me feel like home. We did great trips, we went to Jacks’s sisters house and had lunch overthere. They showed me great spots in the surrounding and I did twice a cookingclass. One in the village at the warung of Jack’s neighbours. Also I did one with Gusti. First we went to the local market in the morning to sell ingredients, in the afternoon we did the cooking. Gusti knows how to prepare the best peanutsauce ever. Rooms are very pleasant and comfortable. Maybe one thing, there is an open space in the roof between both rooms, so that can feel a less private. No problem for me but I can understand that this can feel a uncomfortable for some people. On the other hand, it gives you more connection with nature.

Had a great time at Kanda Homestay and Sidemen. Jack is a great host who can tell also a lot about Sidemen and Bali. Perfect room, good working wifi inside the room and everyday a nice breakfast included in the room price. Did a nice trip with Jack who showed me some beautiful places in and around Sidemen. But it is also very nice to rent a scooter and discover the area by yourself. This is still a not to touristic area with many beautiful views and attractions.

J'ai passé deux nuits c'était super. Très belle chambre dans une superbe nature. Jack et son chien m'ont fait découvrir leur village et environs en scooter. Balade dans les rizières, baignade dans une super cascade, repas chez sa sœur qui fabrique des sarung magnifiques, j'ai craqué..... bref Jack est un super hôte, un très beau séjour

Bruyant because les coqs,les chiens hurlants La fontaine sans arrêt, coulant Petit déjeuner plus que succint Chambres accolées, donc on sait tout du voisin Donc nuit blanche pour tout le monde Bien mieux à 300 metres à la ronde Et puis le owner,donneur de leçons Sur la morale,la spiritualité, sait faire payer sa"dévotion" Se faire payer c'est tout à fait normal Mais profiter,c'est pas trop moral....

Nous avons passé un incroyable séjour. Le logement de Jack est parfait et jack est incroyable. Il nous a permis de découvrir le vrai Bali. Son homestay est très propre, confortable et l'accueil chaleureux Si vous allez dans le sidemen, n'hésitez pas. Merci énormément. A dans 5 ans 😉

Deux nuitées au Kanda Homestay : le lieu est propre, les propriétaires sont accueillants, vous pouvez séjourner en toute tranquillité. Vous trouverez un très bon Warung : Wayan Tabola, à 100m. Jack propose en plus des excursions. Merci pour ce séjour.
