Hotel di Bedugul, Bali

We live in Bali and just visited for a short staycation with our 2 kids. We had a really great time and I can't believe I'd never heard of this place before because it's pretty massive. I'd read a bunch of reviews about the moldy smell in the rooms so I wrote in advance to ask and they assured me they put us up high in the main building. Our rooms did not smell. We actually preferred being in the main building versus in the valley as it was easier to come and go. Anyways the property is lovely, very scenic and well maintained, the breakfast is a decent spread (although I wish the plain yogurt was unsweetened) and they give you specialty coffee. We also received complementary high-tea which was a nice surprise and was actually really fancy. I need to call out Sunada at F&B as he was very helpful. Also my kids loved the Kids Club. The reason I am giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is that there were a bunch of little things that were just annoying. The main one was we had continuous issues with the Internet in our room. This also impacted our ability to watch tv. The staff kept fixing it, but this issue happened every single day we were there (Staff had to come ”Fix” 3 separate times.) Sometimes the fix took over an hour. We had a great time and would come again, but I could see this really frustrating other guests.

Awesome view! I love their breakfast and the room was clean, the staff so niceeee, they have bbq night every saturday night worth to buy! For beginner you should try their free lesson at driving range from rooms. And I saw someone doing picnic there so interesting!!!!

Am liebsten hätten wir 0 Sterne gegeben. Wir haben gestern in das Hotel CLV Hotel und Villas in Bedugul Bali eingecheckt. Wir sind fast vom Glauben abgefallen als wir das Hotel gesehen haben. Zunächsteinmal wurden wir in ein Haus abseits des Hotels gebracht. Uns wurde gesagt, dass wir nun ein Zimmer mit drei Schlafzimmern anstelle des Superior Zimmer welches wir gebucht haben bekommen! Daraufhin wurden wir aufgefordert uns eines der drei Zimmer auszusuchen in dem wir schlafen wollen. Die andern beiden wurden danach direkt vom Personal abgeschlossen. Schön und gut das Ganze wäre zu verkraften gewesen. Als wir uns nun aber in diesem Hotel umgesehen haben ging der Alptraum gleich weiter. An den Wänden ist alles voll mit Schimmel !!! Sogar der Spiegel hat welchen wo ich mich frage wie sowas überhaupt möglich ist. Die Lampen sind sowieso verschimmelt und eine der beiden ist in Plastikfolie eingewickelt (da möchte ich den Grund schon gar nicht mehr hinterfragen)… in der einen Zimmerwand befindet sich ein Loch und die Tapete ist zusammen getackert!!! Das Badezimmer weißt die selben Mängel auf. Auch das Sofa ist dreckig und der Couchtisch ist mit Tesa Film befestigt. Die Treppe sieht zudem aus als wäre sie einsturzgefährdet. Für den Preis den ich hierfür gezahlt habe und dafür, dass Booking dieses Hotel anbietet hätte ich etwas ganz anderes erwartet. Nachdem wir uns beim Hotel beschwert haben uns zwei weitere freie Zimmer besichtigt haben, die genau die selben Mängel aufweisen haben wir uns dazu entschieden auszuchecken. Vier Nächte wären dort unzumutbar gewesen und wir sind sonst beide wirklich hart im nehmen. Wir können jedem nur empfehlen nicht den selben Fehler wie wir zu machen und dort ein Zimmer zu buchen !!!

Les Farm villas , d'un très bon standing, ont une vue exceptionnelle sur la vallée et les volcans Agung et Abang ici règne le calme et la sérénité. La conception et l'orientation des villas, alliées à l'altitude, font que la climatisation est inutile. Rama qui gère le restaurant est fort sympatique. Pour les curieux le 'coco oil tour' est recommandable Dewa nous a fait decouvrir la propriété mais aussi la campagne environnante. Merci à lui. Seul point faible, la carte du restaurant est actuellement très restreinte ; à notre demande ils nous ont toutefois préparé un excellent 'cap cai' balinais

This property was a little hard to find. You have to turn off the main road and then drive through narrow roads to reach it. But boy did we have a pleasant surprise when we reached the property. It has all the amenities a traveler wants and more. As we drove in there was a small area in front of the reception where we could park our car. It was dark and no one was at the reception. We rang a bell there and very soon a girl came. She helped us with our luggage and lead us to our rooms. The rooms were of good size. The bathroom was large by standards with shelves and hanging for clothes. The shower had hot water that flowed instantly. Everything else was good. There was even an electronic drying rack so we could wash our clothes knowing that the rack would dry them by the next day. The room was clean with tv that has Netflix, kettle, coffee and tea. Best of all the bed could be heated with a touch of a switch. We did not know the area was that cold and so didn't bring cold stuff. So we were thankful for the heated bed. Set by the lake as its name implies, it has a tranquil atmosphere, yet at the same time not too far from civilization. The restaurant serves good food. Not exceptional but good enough. Breakfast choice was Indonesian or full American. They even send us goreng pisang daily as snack. We saw the tented rooms, and even those looked good though we did not stay in them but they faced the lake which make them even more idyllic. There is also a gym and massage room. I paid IDR150000 for a massage and it was good. Problem was they had only one masseuse and we had to take turns. We all definitely enjoyed the stay.

Not the best experience here, they tried to over charge us for laundry, it is already expensive at 25k a KG ( normally 10-15k ). They initially tried to charge us 230k saying we had over 10kg total ( we had under 6kg as had previously weighed it ), I asked them to weigh it again and they immediately said sorry we can do it for 150k. I paid extra when booking for breakfast to be included, but when we went for breakfast they argued that is wasn’t included, I showed them my booking and they agreed to include it, but then didn’t give us our included fruit 🤷♂️, the next morning I asked for it and was given it. Food was okay but small portions, view from the seating platform overlooking the lake was great, and the room itself was fine, I just got the impression they were trying to take advantage of tourists by overcharging on things etc…

A beautifully designed hotel in the highlands of Wanagiri, the weather is cool and temperate after the humidity of Ubud. If you want to get away from it all this is the place, very peaceful and idyllic setting with a heated open-air swimming pool overlooking the jungle, mountains, and the sea. There is a waterfall a few minutes walk away. The room and bed were huge, everything very clean and well-maintained. Excellent shower. Food in the restaurant was delicious, staff are very friendly and professional. However, to make the most of this location you need your own transport, which we didn't have, so we only stayed one night before moving to Bedugul.

Above the clouds is in a magical place. The serenity of the location makes a great get away from crowds, shopping or anything that can be distracting for inner reflection and contemplation. The views from your window, mountain paths or rice terraces are breath taking. My window was a daily look into Bali' past and present. The rooms and bungalows are spacious. The site is built using traditional local architecture, which gives a greater connection to the land and its people. Bamboo is strong and flexible just like a Yogi. The meals were great and so was the humble service with a smile. It's a great place for a meditation or a Yoga retreat.

Staycation for second time at dusun Bedugul asri , They are a lot improved than last year, especially about facilities
