I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ulaman Resort in Bali, and it was an unforgettable experience. The highlight of our visit was the enchanting waterfall dinner, which provided a stunning and romantic setting. The sound of cascading water created a serene atmosphere, perfect for an intimate meal. What truly made the evening special was the thoughtful flower decorations on the waterfall deck. The vibrant petals added a touch of elegance and charm, making the experience feel even more magical. Ida, one of the serving staff, deserves a special mention for her outstanding service. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Her warm demeanor and genuine care made us feel valued and welcomed throughout the evening. The food itself was delicious, showcasing local flavors and fresh ingredients that truly captured the essence of Bali. Overall, the combination of the beautiful setting, exquisite cuisine, and exceptional service made our time at Ulaman Resort a memorable one. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a romantic evening in Bali. It’s a perfect way to create lasting memories in a stunning location!

A little oasis tucked away - Breakfast was delicious and healthy and was definitely the best part of my stay! The smoothie bowls and juices and fruits were so fresh. Eggs Benedict on hash brown was amazing. The restaurant was beautiful and if you’re lucky one of their in-house dogs will come up to you asking for food (and pets) . Service was great and counter staff know you by name. The place never felt overcrowded . They have two yoga spaces - Dharma Shala (a small yoga space next to padi fields) and Shala Bhakti (yoga space next to the restaurant usually used by YTT ). Dharma Shala was a bit run down - flooring was uneven and there was always lizard poop or bugs all over the floor. Mats was not that clean or well maintained too. I much preferred yoga and enjoyed the space at Shala Bhakti as the floor was clean and props were well maintained. We attended classes by Bez and Ari - they were patient and kind to beginners, and guided us gently in our practice. Rooms were spacious but with outdoor toilets you would have a bit of a bug situation, but the resort staff will try to clean it as much as they can. If you prefer indoor toilets you might want to book the deluxe room instead. Shopping can be done at pepito grocery store a short gojek drive away. This place is perfect for a get away as it’s quiet and you’re surrounded by nature.

Ini adalah vila yang tenang dan terpencil. Kakitangan sangat ramah dan kakitangan wanita bercakap bahasa Inggeris dengan baik, jadi tidak ada masalah dengan komunikasi. Tetamu tidak ramai, jadi rasanya seluruh kolam renang disewakan. Kolam renangnya agak besar dan dalam, jadi tiada masalah berenang dan bermain! Keadaan bilik sangat baik dan katilnya lembut dan selesa. Penghawa dinginnya hebat, jadi ia tidak pernah terlalu panas Bilik mandinya sangat besar dan mempunyai tab mandi, yang lebih baik :) Terdapat balkoni dengan pemandangan langsung ke kolam renang, jadi sangat bagus untuk minum bir di sini. malam. Mungkin kerana ia adalah satu-satunya restoran tempatan yang berdekatan, sarapan disertakan, jadi saya memilih menu tanpa jangkaan dan ia benar-benar lazat! Sarapan pagi dihidangkan sehingga jam 11 pagi, jadi tiada masalah tidur berlebihan 😊 Tidak sampai sejam untuk sampai ke pusat bandar Ubud dengan menaiki kereta, tetapi kos pengangkutannya murah, jadi saya rasa ia berbaloi di sepanjang jalan, jadi anda juga boleh menikmati pemandangan. Ini adalah tempat yang saya mahu tinggal lagi untuk masa yang lama apabila saya mengembara bersendirian! Ia adalah penginapan yang cantik dan selesa dengan rasa yang sangat seperti Ubud!! Booked Treehouse B for 5 nights but switched to Treehouse A mid-way so will review both. All pics are of treehouse A. TREEHOUSE B (COCOS NUCIFERA) Semi-outdoor concept which is not accurately represented in the photos. In essence, everything but the bedroom is outdoors. Which also means that you are exposed to all possible bugs whenever you aren’t in the bedroom. 🫨 There are three levels; the floor with the main entrance is also where the bathroom is, further up is the kitchen/dining + wardrobe area and further up is a sofa + the bedroom. Note that the stairs are open so there is a possibility of dropping things or people peeping through the gaps. 👀 They really tried to make it like a treehouse by using wooden slats for everything but unfortunately did not sufficiently waterproof the wooden slats enough so there was water damage and rot already present despite this only opening this year. We saw this in both treehouses A and B. Ended moving to treehouse A when we woke to loud construction on our second morning there. TREEHOUSE A (PLUMERIA) This one is enclosed so there is at least some respite from bugs but somehow there were always at least two mosquitoes at any given time which we were either battling or getting bitten by. The lizards also found their way into this one and left their giant turds around. Some places where we found said giant turds: next to my pillow and on the tissue box that we put on the table. 🤢 The bed is also set above ground and only accessible by ladder (!!!) which I understand it supposed to evoke treehouse vibes but is SO dangerous even for adults, especially when you need to climb down half-asleep to go to the toilet. Water damage/wood rot was also visible in the bathroom area for this one but at least the hot water was more consistent than treehouse B, which seemed to run out in less than a minute. Only upside is that staff is quite responsive and flexible in allowing us to change treehouses. — Overall, Grün is good for a one to two night stay if you’re seeking a more novel outdoor accommodation experience, but I cannot recommend this for longer stays, nor families with young children or the elderly. And would I return? Likely not.

Lokasi agak masuk kedalam gang tapi aman dan ada parkir mobil juga. Kamar cukup luas dan bersih. Ranjang bagus dan servis baik hanya kurang nyaman karena ada proyek pembangunan di depannya jadi pagi-pagi sekali sudah terbangun karena agak berisik

I chose this hotel to relax, and it was above my expectation. Very chilly and peaceful vibe. The staffs were very professional and helpful. They're so nice and willing to help their guests to have the best experience. Although it was far from the centre and took 1hr+a to go outside, this hotel was worthy to stay for sure. Also the breakfast was absolutely one of the kind. Very tasty, good looking, proper portion and well balanced. It was the best decision to choose to stay here for my vacation. I will visit The Saren in winter with my family. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tucked away in a quaint village far from the maddening crowds in Canggu et al, this is a retreat to recharge and get away from it all. The property is architecturally interesting and the room is unusually vertical, designed as a treehouse, with a bathtub and open air relaxing area at the top. The infinity pool is surprisingly deep, and there is a natural cascading waterfall right in front of it. Absolutely hidden gem of a place.

Nice place in Canggu. A bit far from things but there’s still a bit around in terms of restaurants,etc. Staff is accommodating and friendly and there is live music and half price cocktails on Friday which is a plus.

The whole vibe and experience is so nice. Staffs are so helpful. They provide free shuttle to drop off and pick up around that area. Breakfast is really good! Love love love the crispy tortilla! Will definitely go there again!
