The Windflower Jungle Resort & Spa, Bandipur

We stayed at this property in third week of February for 2 nights. We stayed in a cottage which is located in what they call as "new property" which is around 500m from the original one. Just an average stay. Room size is big but i seriously feel that the property needs some major upkeep. The upholstery is worn out. There's no room service in this new property. In the restaurant, food is ok but i had to literally spend few minutes to find a bowl which is free of stains. One good thing was that you get to see deers moving around in the property. The place is littered with cow dung so one has to be very watchful while walking.

A well located wildlife resort with excellent naturalists , nature walks, birdlife, but property needs a lot of upkeep and staff not attentive enough. The game drives being controlled online by govt or last minute rush has become a big uncertainity for international quality wildlife enthusiats. Rooms need more maintenance. Food should have more international cuisine options. Front office briefing for international FIT guets is inadequate.

We stayed here whilst doing safaris for 2 nights. It has a perfect location. The staff are absolutely wonderful. The food is excellent some of the best we've had in our ***y years of travelling in India. Sidardu and his restaurant team provide an excellent service. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. Highly recommended before safaris

Rustic rooms and location but situated just outside the Tiger reserve, this is a nice place with large bedrooms and good food. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The bungalows are spaced out in pairs and are accessed by paths with steps.

We visited Windflower Bandipur in the busy touristy season for a family get-away for 4 couples and 3 kids. Our 2N3D stay was perfect with great hospitality by each and every staff member, amazing buffet spread for each meal and accommodation of varied personalised requests despite being such a busy tourist season. Special mention to Karthik for catering to some scrumptious food, super attentive staff at all times, great spa facilities with well trained masseuses and last but not least, ***ager Uma who went out of his way to arrange a last minute request for a safari. The rooms a huge, clean and well equipped. Dozens of deer by the room are a common sight and a treat to the eyes!! A must visit for families who’d like to connect with nature and enjoy a good break!

Our Cottage was okay, could have been cleaner though they are very spacious. The sheets were not clean enough. The location of the resort is great , but the approach is bad, the roads are very bumpy since it passes through the forest. The rest rooms in the cottage are huge, but can be more practical and user friendly. For ex: there are no towel rods or racks to keep your toiletries in the shower area though its huge. the design could have been better. There was no pressure in the hand shower and the regular shower was not working in all our cottages! one of the taps got stuck in the other room. Food was okay, you can avoid the desserts since most of the dessert items were bad. but the staff are very courteous and helpful in the restaurant, very obliging. It has a nice pool and enough activities for the kids and adults alike. Sadly, for cottage guests, they don't arrange jungle safaris, we got to do it on our own which is a huge drawback. I would say its a one time visit. its just about okay.

We stayed at the Bandipur resort over Chris**as and our experience was really amazing. The resort and rooms are rustic and blend really well within the forest they are housed in. Their food options were diverse and delicious. Given there is nothing but forest and animals around, the all inclusive option is a must. We would like to give a shout out to the ***ager Karthik. His hospitality, knowledge of the wildlife around the forest and stories of his adventures gave us a special appreciation of Bandipur. He is a wonderful ambassador for the hotel and the region.

A very comfortable resort in the midst of the Bandipur Tiger Reserve. It provides all the comforts to make the stay most enjoyable. The F&B staff went out of their way to ensure we got the variety and quality of food as desired. Their Chris**as eve dinner was outstanding. Very courteous and responsive staff.

I had send a foreign couple from us to the resort on 8th of this month.. check in was on 8th and check out was on 10th.. had made the full and final settlement before check in itself.. the reservation was taken by ms rashmi from the sales team..my staff had send all the payment confirmatiom to her official id too.. we kept on calling for the confirmation mail..later some on picked up the call and said that everything is settled and the instruction has gone to the resort regarding the same. But on check out the guests was put on hold saying that balance payment had to be made..it was intimated to me and i cald the front office..then they said that they had an intimation to collect the balance from the guests by the sales team.. such an embarassing situation..they wanted to get confirmation from the sales team..then only they will relaese the guests it seems.. i kept on calling the sales number and the concerned sales person number , but no one picked up the call..they released the guests only after nearly half an hour.. The resort is in a good location and well maintained..the service is also good and the guests had intimated me regarding the same.. but windflower being such a renowned chain of hotels having landmark hotels at hot locations have a very unprofessional sales team..i advise all to be very careful while making the reservation..even if u are making online booking also u make sure to call the resort number rather than the head office number and confirm that payment has been received before entering the resort..try to get a written confirmation from the front office ***ager itself..other it will create an embarassing situation..
