Everything was great at The Aim Sathon. Basic clean room but bathroom sink didn’t have hot water. Good for a budget stay.

This place was just awful. After looking at the place on booking.com I thought it seems good. I got there looked at the room and thought I was in some hellhole. The room was old, the cupboard door fell of when I tried to open it, the bathroom was old and the whole feel was dingy that it almost bordered on creepy. The pictures they give you are at night to hide all the flaws. During the daytime it looks like it's been through the Bombing of Berlin, no one's made any effort to make it even look or feel half decent. They promote it as a 4 star hotel, nonsense it's 1 star. Most things they advertise that entice you to stay aren't even true. They say it has room service, nope a bar, nope, a kitchen, a coffee shop, nope it doesn't have any of these things. As for all those lovely pictures of towels made up as Swans on the bed, complete fabrication. This place may as well have been a drug den. I asked to be upgraded to to an Executive Room. Got up there, just a standard room in any 3 star hotel, if you were an Executive I'd be looking for another job. I lasted one hour and got the hell out of there, it's a dump pure and simple. I later found out it was used as a Quarantine hotel during Covid, they shunted them in and out. Don't even look at this place, it will ruin your holiday, old bathroom and a central light in the bedroom that's as old as the building itself (straight from the 70s). They give all these fantastic pictures of meeting and conference rooms, all nonsense. Oh, and BTW, there's no safe in the room for your belongings either, on top of the insult of this place, they charge you 3000 Baht to hire a storage locker like you're in a some train station. The staff dress shabbily none of those photos with door staff in uniform, they look like they could be cleaning staff. I went to my next hotel and the man behind reception just laughed and said ”oh, awful, awful place”. Hellhole, avoid at all costs.

Nice hotel. Despite the fact that the building is not new, you see that the hotel staff is doing best. Clean room, no insects, nice pool zone. Talking of the swimming pool, it’s small but cozy, the water is not hot after all day under the sun, and it’s breezy and comfortable to dive in it at evening. We had a deluxe room with the balcony, didn’t understand why it has a net all over the place. Maybe because of the pigeons. Wi-Fi was ok. The atmosphere of freedom, i think is the plus of this hotel. No one tells you anything, do what you want.

Our experience with Siam Kempinski is the best! All staff are very accomodating and polite. The location is super good, and they provide a shuttle to drop us or pick us at some of their pick up locations. Rooms are clean. All facilities I needed were provided. Food and drinks are super good. Will definitely go back to this hotel.

The hotel is owned by Nantra Group. They have enough space in the reception area where you can wait for check in or after check out. Located just 5 minutes from Phrom Phong BTS station. The room does not have wardrobe so better keep all clothes in your bag. Room had mini fridge, toiletries, AC, water bottles, Hair dryer. The room is spacious enough but the TV is very close to the bed. Good value for money and good location in heart of Bkk.

Habituellement, je n’aime pas faire une évaluation négative sur un hôtel dans lequel j’ai séjourné car je sais que celle-ci peut altérer sa réputation et c’est souvent ses employés qui en pâtissent, quand bien même ils n’en portent aucune responsabilité. Je me permettrai tout de même une petite exception pour cet Ibis Style Sukhumvit 50 à Bangkok. Il faut dire que la Thaïlande a édicté des mesures très contraignantes pour toute personne entrant dans ce pays et c’est ainsi qu’elle a su maintenir un taux de contamination passablement bas par rapport au reste du monde. Néanmoins, sans céder à aucune forme de paranoïa, je pense que quelques améliorations pourraient être mises en place afin de participer au bien-être de ses hôtes « ASQ ». La peur que le Corona puisse éventuellement être transmis aux employés de l’hôtel par des individus en quarantaine, engendre des situations ubuesques ! Le remplacement de la literie n’étant pas prévu avant le premier test COVID, il a fallu que j’insiste pour que l‘on m’apporte de la lingerie et que je puisse effectuer cet échange après plus d’une semaine passée dans cet établissement. C’est seulement après le 10ème jour que le service de maison a pris le soin de nettoyer ma chambre. Les repas n’étaient pas de grande qualité. La Thaïlande est réputée pour sa gastronomie, j’aurais apprécié que cet établissement y fasse honneur. Une alimentation goûteuse et de qualité aurait contribué à parfaire mon séjour. Contrairement à d’autres gites, il m’a parfois été distribué du « réchauffé de l’avant-veille » dans des couverts en plastique jetables. J’aurais particulièrement apprécié que tous les petits déjeuners soient agrémentés de jus de fruits. Au niveau récréatif, ce n’était pas Byzance non-plus ! Il n’est pas agréable de passer 15 jours confiné dans une chambre sans avoir la possibilité d’ouvrir les fenêtres. La toiture a été recouverte d’un tapis vert et il n’y avait aucune structure qui permette de faire du sport, pas de piscine, juste 6 box aménagés d’une table et d’une chaise et c’est seulement après une semaine que j’ai enfin pu en bénéficier durant un peu plus de 45 minutes les cinq premiers après-midis qui ont suivi mon premier test PCR, ce fut une bouffée d’air sans pareil comparativement au système vicié de ma chambre. Ce n’aurait pas été un luxe si la connexion internet ne subissait pas autant de pannes à répétition et qu’elle ait été plus rapide (~18 Mbits/s). Une savonnette aurait pu être mise à disposition près du lavabo. Cependant, le personnel était très sympathique et très réactif. L’hôtel était calme et bien entretenu. Il est situé légèrement en dehors du centre, proche des citernes du fleuve « Chaopraya ». Parfois, derrière le grillage de ma fenêtre, j’apercevais un mirador et de temps à autre un employé de la raffinerie y faisait une ronde à bicyclette. Hap Satorn is a nice guesthouse with big rooms and a very comfortable bed. The location is convenient, close to MRT station Lumphini and Lumphini park. Internet speed is good. There is no elevator, so you have to walk up stairs. The hotel provides hot water in the lobby for tea.

I had an amazing time at Moxy. The service was impeccable. Staff was friendly and always ready to help and accommodate. Room was clean, modern with sleek design. Definitely would recommend for a convenient location and comfortable stay in the heart of Bangkok. Gym could use some more equipment but you can do the basic routine. Hopefully they can add more equipment with time. I just want to mention Weena and Megan went above and beyond to help me have a more memorable stay here at Moxy by helping me fulfill a request.

A bit out of the way from shopping centres, bars & airport, everything is 30-45 minute grab away, which are cheap enough but with how bad the Bangkok traffic can be, it can be doubled in time unless you get a grab bike which is not possible when taking your luggage to airport lol. Overall, hotel was a good stay, it was comfy, it was clean, 7-Eleven within 2 minute walking distance. Gym had 1 x Treadmill, 1 x Bike, 1 x Cross-trainer so a little disappointing no machines / free weights, but that’s just being picky. I’d score 3.5/5 👍🏼
