Ulasan New Siam II

New Siam II was a great hotel in a nice area of Bangkok. The staff were really friendly, and the rooms were nice and clean. There was a nice swimming pool that caught the sun without being too direct. I really recommend staying here!

Always nice here but it depends which room you get front or back balcony and soft or hard mattress you never know but they are flexible if you sent to change the room. Late check out option is also ideal for 500 baht check out at 6pm.

We stayed at Siam 2 for 2 nights. We enjoyed the proximity to Khaosan road but it was still far enough off so it wasn't loud. The hotel has a pool to cool off and a little restaurant where we enjoyed a coffee. There are many restaurants,bars and a ferry dock close by. If you're looking for a reasonable accommodation price wise Siam 2 is a good choice.

NOT RECOMMEND ROMS IS TO SMOLER SMILES NOT GOOD! Not very clean! Personal is good speak English and friendly. Everything else not recommended SH.

Great location near the river and a 5 min walk from the main party street. Decent breakfast and also has a small pool.

My wife and I stayed recently for 2 weeks from 20/2 to 6/3/2023. Unfortunately, I can verify that 95% of all of the negative comments made about this hotel are true but let me start with location. If you wish to be nearby the two streets of restaurants, taxis and tuk-tuks which seem set up specifically to constantly badger tourists as well as provide easy access to Khaosan then this is the location for you: if not, this is hell except you are a brief walk from a water taxi station and some major attractions. The pool was welcome, but is small and there is little room for sunbathers or for swimming. The room we were given was not as portrayed by the vast majority of photos on the website (perhaps one of the photos showed our actual room). The room suffered from bugs in the room and also the bed: Possibly the noisiest room I have ever stayed in - what with centralised a/c, fan and fridge together - we could easily have been on the main ***** itself, we would never have heard anything above the internal noise. The shower lacked water pressure and was faulty - scalding me quite badly one morning. Despite 3 attempts to fix, the TV didn't work during our stay. In general the hotel needed an overhaul 20years ago. The room had a window looking out onto an adjacent concrete wall - no balcony. The menu in the buffet was limited, the food average at best and took an age to arrive - plagues of ants throughout the outside eating area, The taxis that wait outside are waiting to overcharge every tourist for every trip and refuse to meter the trips. Their driving is horrendous and they are rude of you don't hire them. All of this could be forgiven by some given the price of staying in the hotel (e.g. $20-25 per night) however what is unacceptable (at any price) is the rudeness with which some of the staff treat customers. I have read many reviews about the friendliness of the staff - this was not my experience. Reception staff spoke English very badly and then got annoyed with me for not understanding English well (I am English). Worst of all, when attempting to avoid the long wait for a morning coffee, I was accused of being a thief by one staff member when I poured a cup of coffee from the buffet pot. Fortunately the hotel and associated taxis were the only disappointing aspects of a wonderful trip to Thailand.
