Quite an unattractive building from the front and it was a little crowded during check in due to the numbers in our group but an unexpected treat inside. Very clean. Nice breakfast although not well organised as everything kept running out and for a big group it was a narridor corridor where all of the food was served. We had a lovely room, though, and enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful time staying at this hotel. There was a small hiccup at the start with our room, but Jelena, who was at reception at the time, sorted it out immediately and made sure we were happy with everything. Everyone was really helpful and always smiling. The hotel is gorgeous, everything is new and modern. The food at the restaurant was phenomenal. We enjoyed the service of Radisav, who was incredibly professional and attentive. Our meals were different each evening, and always a surprise (I suppose because we were visiting before the start of the season), but the food was delicious French cuisine prepared with quality ingredients and great presentation! It was actually quite exciting wondering what the chef will have in store for us that day. Overall the hotel is great, the staff is even better, the location is close to the sea and the main roads. We had a lovely time and can't wait to visit Montenegro again!

Bar is a popular resort on the coast of Montenegro - approximately one hour drive from the capital Podgorica. To make the most out of your holiday/vacation I would strongly advise hiring a car to tour this wonderful Balkan country. However, note that their road rules are in some cases different to the rest of western Europe. Most tourist type hotels are located outside of Bar centre or in Sutomore, which is a few KM up the coast. Their are regular buses linking the two. The agape hotel is located on a main road - but do not worry - we experienced no sound noise from the road whatsoever. Parking is available free behind the hotel in public spaces. The hotel is also set up for small conferences. The reception is on the ground floor, where their is a lobby area (that no one seemed to use). The receptionist was wonderfully friendly, helpful and professional. We were allocated a twin bedded room on the first floor close to the restaurant/breakfast room, and the spa area. Again we heard no noise at all from these public areas. Our room was extremely comfortable with twin beds, large flat screen tv (including english speaking channels), fridge, wardrobe, and tea/coffee making facilities. The shower room was extremely large and included toiletries. My only small grumble was that the shower riser rail for the shower head was not long enough, so i did have to bend slightly to wash my hair. I am over 183cm (6'). Breakfast was standard continental fayre with hams, cheese etc, plus the hot eggs, bacon etc. Tea/coffee/juices etc. If you wanted your eggs a certain way then this would be done without problem. The waiter was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast, evening meals, and bar service is all located on the 1st floor in the same area. It only takes a few minutes to walk to the main shopping/bar/restaurant street. Their are some excellent 'coffee and cake' cafes ! YUM... Their is also a pharmacy only a few minutes walk away. we only stayed a couple of nights, and wish we had longer.

Very nice and convenient to catch the ferry to Italy. Doesn't look like much from the outside but very different inside Nice, comfortable rooms. Danilo at reception was very helpful in his recommendations Good breakfast

The Hotel Agape is an excellent hotel in Bar. It is extremely modern, well appointed and with outstanding staff members. On arrival, the receptionists are lovely and extremely helpful. Savic, Filip and Velimir are superb in the food and beverages department and are a major asset for the hotel (note that you need to preorder evening meals). The only slight criticism are the pillows and small beds which could be more comfortable.
