Hotel Siquijor dengan Bar

I don’t know anyone that couldn’t love this place! This was our last accommodation on our Philippines backpacking trip – a little treat to finish. We were recommended to visit Siquijor by a local we had met in Puerto Princesa, so we thought, why not! Not only did this become my favourite island, but I believe a huge part of this is because of Infinity Heights. We were super lucky to visit during a quiet period (start of the rainy season), but we’ve created memories here we will never forget. Firstly, we were beautifully greeted by the front of house staff, whom, I promise, will already make your stay so perfect as they made sure our guest experience was the highest it can be. Nothing was ever too big of an ask. If you love dogs, there are a couple of onsite adorable dogs who are very well behaved and respect your space, but also love a cuddle! The room (we stayed in room 10), was outstanding. It was clean, lovely, modern but simple décor, a big balcony with views that honestly took my breath away. For me, it felt like a place I could easily call my home. Speaking of home, the owners live onsite and came over to chat with us. Gary and Christy are the sweetest people, it’s very clear they take a lot of pride in their home and their business. As owners, I feel they tick every box. We’ve felt so cared about and wanted here, and we’ve not come spending money. It’s just been about getting to know each other. They’ve put a lot of hard work into the resort, and you can see through their staff how happy and attentive everyone is who works here. They gave us local insight knowledge and even treated us to a night of music! Christy performed some well-known songs, whilst Gary, my partner and two other guests assisted in the mini band – it’s a night that can’t be explained, as it was an unexpected taste of paradise. We felt 100% happy, content and relaxed, it’s an evening we will always cherish. We stayed after the music finished and continued chatting to Christy and Gary about everyday things and cultural differences. We wanted them to know how good their staff was as well, and they just seemed so heart warmingly proud of the business they have created. The last thing to mention is the views and the pool. JUST WOW. I wish we had more time here (or just lived here). We spent a whole evening in the pool watching the sun set over views that you can’t beat. It was emotionally beautiful, and we both miss this place so much!

Are you are planning to go Siquijor ? better to come in Jelly Sea Resort and this is a private resort, were this place is very nice, good looking front background view and the room is so amazing. All the staff are very accommodating to us and i think their boss is very kind friendly too because i feel that he always check on us just to make sure that we enjoyed the resort and make the area is safe. . one thing that i really like in this resort is very nice inside rooms and it makes me impressed.

LOVED our stay at Coco Grove. We are not fans of large resorts, but this is an exception. Even though our first 2 nights the resort was full we did not feel like there were lots of people. The property is huge, villas and rooms are spread out amidst lush tropical foliage, there are 3 different & good sized pools in different areas. 3 food outlets. A decently equipped gym. A nice gift shop that doesn’t mark up the items exorbitantly—we found it very reasonable. Very well planned resort. Staff are just lovely—very sweet, attentive and helpful. Everyone. From drivers, front office, restaurants, spa, cleaners, gardeners, guards, lifeguards—all really just genuinely nice. I greatly appreciate how the staff are kind to animals too. Went to the Spa 3 nights for massage—ask for joy—I had one of the best aromatherapy massages from her (2 nights—my first and last; the masseuse I had the other night was mediocre). And if you prefer hard massages ask for a Swedish deep tissue massage from Fretzel, she was excellent according to my partner. We stayed in an ocean villa. Very spacious with a good sized bathroom with separate shower and bath tub too. There are also shelves and closets to hang clothes. Rooms are cleaned daily which we appreciate (if you don’t want yours cleaned daily let them know when you check in). It was wonderful having the beach & sea “at your doorstep.” Our stay was very peaceful. The Sanctuary Villas are at the opposite end, near the spa and in a bit more private area, we’ll probably request that for next time. there isn’t anything wrong with the Ocean villas (which are near the dive center) it’s just there was more foot traffic in the area than in the sanctuary. Internet is good in some areas and weak to none in others. Food is ok, portions are good. Decent selection for breakfast. For vegetarians the vegetable curry in Salanandas is good, Thai inspired better than at the Beach Bar. The fries and the stir fried vermicelli noodles w vegetables at the Beach Bar were better than the fries and the vegetarian pancit (these noodles were thicker) at Salamandas. Don’t forget to say hi to Macky, their rescued Brazilian Parrot We’ll be back, coco Grove is on our list of favorite beach resorts!

We stayed here for two weeks and really didn’t want to leave. Luki and Charlie were exceptional hosts . The new building was finished only 3 months before and it’s stunning. Swim up pool with spacious pleasant rooms . The pool pictured on their site had just been renovated and has a jacuzzi at one end. Charlie put the bubbles on every time we ventured in it. All the staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Even taking my sandals for a repair. Luki ordered transport for us at competitive rates and showed us the best massages places to go to. Luki and Charlie invited us to Lukis birthday party, it was beautiful and great fun . So kind of them. Breakfast at an extra cost was good value and plentiful. The new chef made delicious meals mostly traditional Filipino - we ate many time during our stay. Please give this place a chance it’s been a working progress and now the end is in sight. I had the best time ever here .

Wunderschönes Resort mit absolutem Wohlfühlfaktor und perfekt zum Energie tanken 🧡 Wir (kleine Gruppe von vier Personen) hatten das Reort für einen kurzen Inselstopp gebucht und waren absolut begeistert von dem einzigartigen Flair und dem so engagierten Gastgeber-Team rund um Marcel, die den Aufenthalt zu einem wirklich besonderen Stopp gemacht haben! Danke für die schöne Zeit bei euch, wir kommen hoffentlich mal wieder :)

We want to thank the owner Gri and staff at this lovely hotel! The warmth and welcome we felt was phenomenal, as well as the service. The highlight of the stay was the gorgeous pool and view. We loved beginning and ending each day with a dip and hearing the waves crash as we fell asleep. Magical! The flowers and trees on the property are stunning and the rooms are comfortable and reasonably appointed. The beds are firm by western standards but being that we are Americans who live in China, we love this for our backs! We ate breakfast every morning and one of our dinners in the hotel restaurant and it is very high quality, tasty food. I especially loved the organic spinach and homemade dumplings, as well as the mapo tofu- YUM! The fresh fruit each day was crisp and delicious and I LOVED drinking coconuts by the pool. Thank you, Cherry! Coffee is for purchase at the restaurant, not in the rooms. The location of the hotel is quite remote, meaning it is peaceful and quiet. I recommend you arrange transportation for excursions in advance each day, or rent a scooter, as waiting for a tricycle can be long. We were told that you can swim and snorkel in front of the hotel but the tide was too low when we tried one day. However, there are snorkels and kayaks for use in the hotel! The hotel is still developing some of the water activities available. The pool is deep enough for diving courses, but check to make sure they are ready, as the gear is still in order as of Oct 2023. There are snorkel and dive spots a short ride away, however, and you can ask for help at the desk to book a tour or connect with a dive shop.

where do i start... well when we got to WHITE VILLAS we were quite early so we were hoping we could check in early. As Liz one of the resort managers approached us we were told that there was a problem with our booking. Instead of making us wait they served us breakfast as we wer waiting for the booking to be sorted out. Because of the long wait they were kind enough to give us breakfast for free and lunch which was a kind gesture. After our breakfast they brought us to our room which was super clean and quite spacious, but then the AC wasn't getting cold, so as soon as we mentioned this to Liz they acted on it right away and transferred us to a superior room again no questions asked and made us stay the night. The next day they said if AC wasn't working they were to transfer us to another room which was fine coz it was beach front and even if it wasn't it was ok because they really went out of their way to make us feel comfy AND breakfast ended up being free during our whole stay. They really have amazing customer service and they really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, very solution oriented. Food is good, service is amazing, staff is very helpful and cheerful at all times. I would totally recommend this place if you were to travel to Siquijor. I would go back if i could in a heartbeat. We enjoyed a 2 night stay at Infinity Sands. We also visited their sister hotel, Infinity Heights, which I have reviewed separately. There were a few issues at this hotel, some of which were out of the hotels control. Others involve staff training suggestions. However, before I start, this place deserves the 5 Star rating I have given it. The wonderful staff, who tried so hard to make our stay pleasant, more than made up for any areas of concern. Firstly the room we had was spotlessly clean, large with a wonderfully comfortable King Size Double Bed. Tasteful furnishings. Lovely hot shower. For the price point it was exceptionally good value. We experienced both dinner and breakfast at the sea front restaurant. Each time the tables were spotlessly clean and set out nicely prior to our arrival. The breakfast is very good value at just less than 300 pesos including filtered coffee. Recommended. Service staff were polite, professional and very attentive. As a training issue, maybe they should pay a little more attention to their listening skills so that they deliver what a customer actually requests. I mean this as a constructive suggestion. Not a criticism. For example when ordering fried eggs for breakfast and then ( on one occasion) to receive omelettes , is not really appropriate. The chefs are clearly very talented and spend time with lovely dinner presentations but the food needs to be hot. Dinner, as husband and wife, in my view, means that main courses should be served together not 15 minutes apart. My wife has finished her, barely warm, spaghetti dish, before my main course even arrived. Not the best of situations but, having owned and operated restaurants myself in The Philippines, I know the value of staff training, particularly as regards multi tasking and timing of dish preparations. My main course was superb. Hot and very well presented. My last recommendation to the hotel management is to sit down and discuss with the bar next door, as regards their playing of late music late into the evening. It is supposed to finish at 10pm but on our second night went on until 11.30pm, albeit at a slightly lower volume. Overall this place is 5 Star for value, location and their wonderful and hard working staff.
