Ringling House Bed & Breakfast

My husband and I enjoyed a 2-night stay as part of a little getaway. The house provides plenty of space for relaxing, both inside and out. We especially enjoyed chatting with the other guests at breakfast. The staff gave us several suggestions for restaurants, attractions, and hiking trails.

This was our second visit to the Ringling House B&B. We needed a getaway, we've been through so much lately. Lost an adult child in November and had our 5 y.o. granddaughter diagnosed with leukemia in Jan. We stayed in Charles & Edith and it is such a cozy and calming setting. Julie & Stu are great hosts. There was major road work going on in Baraboo so it could get a little noisy at times, but we still had a lovely time.

A night at Ringling House B&B was a lovely way to ease into a holiday. Julie and Stuart are welcoming and friendly. The bedooms were comfortable, with very nice bathrooms for a home built in 1901. The ability to explore the rest of the house on our own was like traveling back in time. Julie offered great advice for dinner options, and served a nice breakfast the next morning.

Disappointed. While the history is fascinating, the accommodations were quite sad. This place is in dire need of TLC. It was not clean and looked and smelled tired. It's the small things, the details that can make a B&B special, but the attempts came off as woefully lazy and cheap. The breakfast was unappetizing and again...a sad effort. We won't be returning nor will we recommend.

The Ringling House Bed and Breakfast surpassed our expectations in the most delightful ways! My two besties and I arrived on a Friday evening to a quiet and personalized welcome: complimentary wine and cheese as well as time to take in the historical grandeur of a Ringling residence. We chose adjoining rooms so that we could combine amenities but that was not necessary. Each room is unique and offers privacy and all that one might desire. Our rooms were clean, charming, and came with some welcoming extras. It is such a gift to sleep in, walk downstairs, and enjoy a delicious, homemade breakfast in a beautiful space. This is one of the PERKS of staying in a B & B versus other "on your own" short term stays. I am an early riser, so I enjoyed the additional luxury of walking around to view some historical items while listening to "old-timey" music. Our trio also benefitted from lounging with the owners, who shared stories and recommendations for our time in town. We were visiting in a non-touristy (cold) season, yet Baraboo did not disappoint! The museums had opened and the downtown shops and bars were thriving. Plus, no competing crowds. Don't hesitate to make Baraboo, Wisconsin a long weekend getaway any time of year. There is much history and hosting that will greet you. Our thanks to Julie and Stuart for revitalizing this marvelous bed and breakfast and for attending to all the important and pampering details. It will go down in our traveling history as one of our Greatest Stays on Earth!

This was our 3rd stay . Once again was a great stay. They had a Valentines Dinner that was outstanding Julie and Stuart are wonderful hosts. Every time we come back we learn something new about the history of the house and people that once lived there. We are ready for stay number 4.

Thank you for a wonderful and comfortable stay. I was impressed with the history of the home. It's beautifully decorated from the time period of the house. Breakfast was just enough to start out the day as well as being delicious. Julie and Stuart are friendly and make you feel welcomed. We will be returning in the future.

We were here for a weekend in October. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly, and their home is wonderful as well. I particularly love their wood paneled dining room, it’s very charming. The rooms had cute decorations relating to the homes heritage and had plenty of space. The in-room’s air conditioner (which was great in the fluctuating weather) had a fan-mode that made for relaxing white noise. On a colder night the electric heater in the fireplace was very welcome. Overall would recommend and hope to return one day!

This B&B offers a 1901 experience. The house is magnificent with its period furnishings. The room was very comfortable. The antiques are fun. The library, sitting room, the dining room were well appointed with collector's pieces. Julie and Stu did a nice job. Would recommend this.
