酒店位於萊茵河的北側，巴塞爾老城區和觀光景點位於河南側，但是酒店門口就是有軌電車，去市中心也就幾分鐘的車程，去巴塞爾的兩個火車站都有直達有軌電車。酒店鄰近巴塞爾會展中心，周圍超市，餐館，麵包店，咖啡店選擇很多。酒店硬件設施中規中矩，房間麪積還過得去，衛生狀況不錯。對於去巴塞爾出差或者中轉過夜還是很適合的。

Mooi verzorgd en eigenlijk 5* waardig hotel! Kamers zijn ruim en bedden slapen heerlijk. Enig minpuntje is de badkamer waar je moet douchen in de badkuip met een zeer kleine douchekop en het toilet direct achter de douchedeur. Voor de rest: - het personeel is top, ontbijt is volledig en uitgebreid - de gym en spa is heerlijk en het zwembad is heerlijk groot

Dengan penginapan di Der Teufelhof Basel, anda akan berada betul-betul di tengah Basel, hanya 2 minit memandu dari Zoo Basel dan 5 minit dari St. Jakobshalle (Arena). I was confused before I arrived in person, so I will clarify the situation for you. There is an elevator that goes up to the fourth floor. The wheelchair accessible rooms have roll-in showers. There are bathtubs in two rooms on the fifth floor, which requires going up a flight of stairs. We stayed in a room on the fifth floor because it was more important to us to have a bathtub than to have a wheelchair-accessible room. Bonus: the rooms on the fifth floor have air conditioning! There is a shower in the bathroom. There is also a separate bathtub, which is surrounded by rocks. (Why?) The bathtub sides are steep. We found the mattress to be comfortable. The room has a sloped ceiling because the roof is sloped. There are hardwood floors and sky lights. There is also a glass table and a couple of chairs in room 550. We found the front desk staff to be very friendly and helpful. There are various free drinks and fruits (espresso drinks you make, water, and tea; apricots, apples, plums) and other drinks for purchase. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch (closing at 13:30). The garden is nice.

The location is great, close to the Old Town and only minutes on foot from Barfuesserplatz. Parking at Steinen is also within relatively reasonable distance. The service was great and the staff very friendly. The rooms are modern, and what we especially appreciated were the separated shower and toilet, although we did miss additional opportunities to hang bath towels. Our room was to the front of the building and therefore somewhat noisy due to the proximity of the tram line, but I guess that's the caveat of such a central location. For breakfast there are two options: The full buffet breakfast at the Teufelhof across the street, or the coffee shop on the ground floor of the SET Hotel itself. We opted for the latter and loved their croissants. The corridors felt a bit bland, dark and ”hospital-like”, as my wife put it. A bit of colour would give it a somewhat friendlier touch. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and think it's an ideal place to stay for exploring the city.
