Casa Cayuco Eco-Adventure Lodge

Our time at Casa Cayuco was excellent. The staff was attentive and completly focused on providing us with an awesome experience. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and the food was fresh and delicious. We went on several tours and each was unique and enjoyable. If you can, be sure to go to Monkey Island and do the mangrove snorkel trip. If the condition are right also get on that bio-bio-luminesence experience - bring your mask and snorkel (which they provide you when you get there) and be sure to jump in the water. It will be be a highlight of the experence.

Amazing experience with a family feel and lovely staff. The excursions were all worth it. You really get to know your fellow travelers as meals are family style, but the resort also feels private and quiet. Gorgeous views and excellent food. Would 100% recommend.

Writing from our Pelicano cabin porch watching the waves gently lap onto the shore in front of us and listening to the birds in the jungle behind us. We are on our last day of our 7 day stay at magical, relaxing, inviting Casa Cayuco. This is our fourth stay at this wonderful spot. Once again we were warmly welcomed by all the staff. From Jose who captained the boat from Bocas Town to Alondra who greeted us at the dock and cheerfully let us know each days activities at every communal meal time. We snorkeled, kayaked right in front of the lodge, swam and floated, did morning yoga on the dock with Bine, visited monkey island and the chocolate farm, watched sloths up close on the creek tour and visited the nearby community of Salt Creek. Casa Cayuco has a deep connection and partnership with the village - one of the things we love about this eco lodge. At the delicious meals and on the large dock there is plenty of time to interact and get to know other guests or choose alone time and have a meal in your cabin. This place is amazing. We will back.

This is such a dream vacation spot! Even getting there is an adventure, as you have to go by boat or water taxi. The staff were so attentive. Every day, twice a day they came to suggest which adventures would be best based on the weather and let us decide which activities, if any we wanted to participate in. We went to "Monkey Island" and "Sloth Creek" one day. The monkey experience was up close and personal, for sure. We got to hold, pet or feed 4 different kinds of monkeys. We must have seen 7 or 8 sloths at Sloth Creek. We snorkeled in a mangrove area. There were a lot of brightly colored coral, starfish, jellyfish, sea urchins and sponges and even a seahorse! We toured the local village as well and explored a bat cave! The bat cave was so cool but definitely not for the faint of heart. It was a very adventurous adventure. The food was awesome. Very fresh and very tasty. Drinks and smoothies were reasonably priced and also delicious. The accommodations were unique. We stayed in the Loro suite which is bascially open air with just a mosquito net around the bed. It felt like camping. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. On site at the lodge there was a caimen that we spotted several times, some turtles and a sloth family with a baby! For anyone looking to have a unique and adventurous vacation, this is absolutely the place to go! There were a lot of families with kids as well, so it's absolutely family friendly.

A truly unique experience in a beautiful place. The entire staff was some of the most professional and friendly I've seen. We and our 20ish year old kids enjoyed the week relaxing combined with a number of the offered adventures, all of which were a treat and super low stress due to how the team manages things. Highly recommend.

Our family spent 6 nights. It could not have been more perfect. We had read all the reviews and thought "too good to be true," but it was better! The location was beautiful. We were truly off the grid, but pampered in comfort. The food was delicious, fresh and healthy. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel like family. We had adventurous and educational excursions every day. We hated to say good-bye. Our kids (13 and 15) are begging to go back.
