A super hotel in a great location. The room was better than expected and we were both pleased with the level of efficiency in the staff. Thankyou

The location is perfect, close to Thermae and Pulteney bridge. We stayed here for my fiance’s birthday and I told the hotel beforehand about the event and they left a handwritten birthday card and 2 cupcakes in our room, a very nice touch. Everything went smooth, breakfast was excellent, there’s a waffle station were you can make your own waffles from scratch. Stayed in a King Room, big bed, soundproofed room, 50” TV, everything you’d ask for a 4-star hotel. We’ll stay again on our next visit to Bath

I stayed at the Apex City of Bath Hotel with three other people in a room with two queen beds. The room was big, comfortable, and had a window, which was nice. The hotel is a little far from the train station, about a 10-minute walk, but it’s an easy walk to the city center, which takes around 5-7 minutes. The price was good, especially since I got a discount on Trip.com after booking train tickets. Compared to the Apex City of London, this hotel felt a bit less fancy. The London hotel had more special things for birthdays, like free extras. We didn’t try the hotel’s breakfast, but there are many good places for breakfast nearby. Overall, the stay was nice. If you don’t mind walking a bit, it’s a good choice. Next time, I might stay in a hotel more in the center of town.

Its meant to be a luxury-ish short weekend getaways before my job starts as my partner can't take a long leave. The delux double room is a huge disappointmemt.Understably, it is a very premium location and other guest probably pay a lot more. However, I wouldn't think of paying over £300 to get a room feeling like a old day servant's room. Being placed at the roof extension room with the view mostly blocked, the floor makes the typical old wooden cracking noise as we walk. The curtain, carpet and bathroom are not in the best condition. The glass on top of the table and desk are not well fitted. Another thing is that, without any previous notice, the spa closed foe maintenance the morning we leave. The fake plants make it look less luxury than its branded. The plus side, it is kind of inclusive which the spa pool, gym and breakfast are included. The breakfast is quite nice if you like English breakfast or they have some basic buffet.

Considering that the official website’s prices were quite similar, I went with the trip.com booking. I reserved a cozy room for 1 adult without breakfast for £113. After I checked out, trip.com triggered an immediate discount of £10.46, which I applied to my next train ticket purchase. ❤️ Third-party Marriott members get perks, too! This hotel falls under the Marriott Tribute Portfolio, embracing a boutique hotel approach. The entire establishment dates back to 1739, boasting a historic exterior. It’s conveniently situated just about 3 minutes’ walk from the Roman Baths and across from Sally Lunn’s. With my Marriott Platinum Card, even with a third-party reservation, the hotel upgraded us to a larger ground floor room facing the street after matching our account, but it’s not advisable due to potential noise. They also offered complimentary à la carte breakfast. Breakfast slots had to be reserved during check-in, and we chose a table at 10 AM. The breakfast was abundant, and the restaurant had a charming and lovely atmosphere. The experience was excellent (the best things are free!). Unfortunately, I don’t have space for more photos, but I’ll post one of the restaurant later. The room was quite small, designed in a modern British style, with a movie-themed decor according to the posters on the wall. All the amenities were provided, with local brand toiletries available for purchase at the front desk for £25 for two bottles. They were decent, but nothing extraordinary to consider bringing back home. The minibar had coffee, various teas, semi-skimmed milk packets, and biscuits. The bottled still water was in an aesthetically pleasing canned form. 🌟 There’s an Elemis sleep kit on the bedside: temple balm/sleep mist/eye cream, placed over a hotel postcard, looking quite exquisite. The bed was very comfortable. ❌ However, there were a few drawbacks to this place… a bit unnerving… I’m not sure if I just had bad luck. The hotel corridors were somewhat confusing, and I accidentally opened the wrong room door once using my own room card. Strangely, the next day around ten o’clock, while I was in the bathroom and my son was on the bed, despite securing the latch on our door, someone managed to open it slightly, presumably seeing my son on the bed, and then closed the door. Perhaps it was a housekeeping staff member wanting to clean the room? Regardless, it felt quite odd… a little unsettling, to be honest

Excellent friendly service. Rooms, breakfast room and bar very clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was delicious. Beautiful small hotel. The private bar is a lovely touch which we made use of as Bath was very busy with the Christmas markets. The location is so central that you can easily walk anywhere and are right in the hustle and bustle of this beautiful city. They provide earplugs. My husband didn’t need them but I did. It’s a shame they couldn’t put double-glazing over the windows (maybe because it’s a period property). Bath looked beautiful with Christmas lights everywhere. So many restaurants to choose from. It was very helpful to receive restaurant recommendations from Eight just before we arrived. It was a nice touch to have a Christmas cracker and card on our bed on arrival and chocolates the next day. The tea tray in the room was well stocked. Overall a fantastic location and very well run boutique hotel. Couple of suggestions are to include choice of having sourdough bread at breakfast. Also two coat hooks in side door of room 17. The long rug was a bit slippy on the wooden floor.

Think twice if you have a large suitcase and are on the upper floors. The lounge is nice with a real fire. Breakfast was nice too. Friendly hotel. 👍

This hotel is a short walk from Bath Spa train station and the main city centre (near all the main attractions, shops and restaurants). The thermae spa is less than 5 mins walk away. Excellent location. We stayed in a twin room for two nights and paid a very good rate for our room. There is a lift. The service on the front desk/reception was excellent. The room had lots of space and the beds were comfortable - we slept well. The shower was nice but the bathroom was in need of re-decoration. Unfortunately, the cleanliness was below standard. I don't often complain, but I felt this was a matter of basic hygiene. The lady on the front desk offered us another room, but we were satisfied that it would be cleaned up on our return to the room later that day. True to her word, it was cleaned when we got back. We were also offered a free complimentary breakfast, which we thought was a nice gesture and we appreciated. I was pleased the matter was taken seriously and resolved quickly, which was very positive. The breakfast was good and included hot and cold items. Veggie's catered for. The hotel also has luggage storage which we made use of and is very handy. This hotel is a good choice is if you want something which provides good value and is in a convenient location.
