Well the reception area will through you off alittle cause it is run down. But the rooms and the grounds are beautiful and that beach in the day time is amazing. I liked the resort and I would come back

Run down property, unhygienic restaurants with pigeons feeding off the tables and fighting for food, overcrowded and loud resort.
Very limited food options with bad refrigeration. Staff were not helpful at all. Every tourist trap you can think of will be offered through the tour company agents at the lobby.
There is no venturing out of the resort because the area is sketchy and in the middle of nowhere. There is also massive construction everywhere. Getting to and from the airport takes forever and the ******* shuttle was so late we barely made our flight back.

Nice property for families and children. Clean, safe and quiet. Food options and quality not as good as other Roy’s that I’ve stayed at. Drink options very limited

Most encounters with the staff were awful. They clearly were miserable and didn't want to interact with guests except the ones that hit on us. So awkward. I've heard that prepandemic the RIU properties were better.
Seems like some policies should be adjusted to cheer the workers up again

I went here on a solo birthday trip and I loved it!! So this resort is 30 minutes from the airport & it was so prompt the moment i stepped off the airplane. The company has signs for transfer to the resort so as long as you know which company your transfer is through just look for signs. I found my driver very quickly and we headed to the resort. The staff is so nice and friendly, the food was BOMB, beach is not even a 5 minute walk with multiple entrances to it, & then MULTIPLE gift shops. This was a birthday trip well spent, I am so happy i chose here. I was having breakfast and told the guy it was my birthday and next thing i know he brings me a cake then a group of people come up singing happy birthday and playing instruments!! I loved every minute of it seriously (: I will be back

Every single employee had an attitude. And I speak Spanish so language wasn’t a barrier. Food was below average. Even the steak house was below average at its best. One day I went three times to get a towel and was unable to get one once. They kept saying they were all out. Huh at a resort no pool towels for 4 hours. No entertainment for kids at alllll. Mini fridge was never restocked in the room.

1.food not properly displayed , left in open area , warm seafood not refrigerated which can be unsafe
2.unclean & spotty dishes and glasswear
3.many fountain machines not working
4.no fresh bottle waters available unless requested
5.came back home with a lip blister after having sushi
6.both my husband & i came back with diarrhea, which started there, i dont know if it was from food or low grade liquor drinks.

The dishes were dirty in restaurants..the room needs to be upgraded. The towels had dirt on them like they weren't washed..not much entertainment for the kids..Also the music could be better(needs to be a mixture) not only Spanish music
