We had a classic double room with a view of the mountain, which was a little larger and more functional than other Swiss basic rooms we stayed in, with two chairs, small table, and desk. The furniture is a bit dated, but comfortable. The location is great, next to many shops and restaurants to easily walk to, and they have a free shuttle to and from the train station. We were exhausted, so we just ordered room service and were delightfully surprised at how good the food and wine were! The staff were very accommodating, allowing us to check out a half-hour late and store our luggage while we shopped before our train left. As others have said, open the big windows because there isn't air conditioning. We weren't bothered by street noise, but one Italian man sang as he came home from bar closing and another finished his verse in response! :) My partner didn't wake up from it, but I did and loved it, haha.

The magnificent building of the hotel impresses me again and again every time I come. All the guys at the door are extremely good and accommodating, the reception is consistently good, excellent concierge with Kristijan and Diego. The service in the ski room is top-notch, and there is also an excellent ski shop. The main restaurant, especially for breakfast, is great, Ivana takes care of the fresh fruit (which is huge), the waiter Kirjos monitors everything, and Nabil is a real refreshment - he covers the whole restaurant with his fresh juices! When he was gone for a few days, we really missed his different range of freshly squeezed juices. For dinner, there are always excellent restaurants Ca d Oro (with a Michelin star) and Da Adriano. And not to forget to mention the reservation service with the extraordinary fighter Dorothea and of course the general manager Konstantin, who is present everywhere. From the written greeting upon arrival in the room, to the daily breakfast visit. You can also see him around the hotel during the day. In short, the hotel has a soul and I warmly recommend it!

I never take the time to write reviews as i’m more of a “direct feedback” person, but i have to share this one.. We left this magical place with a full heart. The rooms were top notch, i loved all the wooden details as well as all the nitty gritty you don’t want to miss in a home away from home. Kicked of the day with a savory and sweet breakfast in their cozy and calm setting, overlooking the centre of town. The family lead 4 star individual hotel, is filled with stories and made us feel like we became a part of it. My very special recommendation is the Pasta Luigi at Lapin Bleu - i had it ON REPEAT.

Excellent customer service with a great deal of attention to detail. Stayed half board which was great value-everything on the menu available apart from truffle. Great selection of wine with dinner. The hotel was immaculate and the house keeping service was fantastic. The location is ideal-central and a short walk to the funicular. The only negative was the temperature of the rooms-It was so warm! Couldn’t find a way to turn it down so ended up propping the window open.

Had no idea what to expect ahead of my arrival at this hotel by taxi from the train station and not in great mood - Uber told me it would be 8 Swiss francs ride but after well over five minutes waiting for drivers’s details to confirm booking, cancelled and resorted to one of the dwindling number of cabs in the rank. 20 francs later for a distance that I easily walked back the following day was a rip off of the highest order! It did not look promising as the entrance was through scaffolding being used for some sort of roof repairs, into a reception area like something out of the early 20th century! No one was about but there were a number of people in the bar area which has a stunning view over the lake. The bar lady had been getting a bottle of wine and she then checked me in . I made my way, warily, up to the 1st floor in the oldest lift I have seen in years to my rather small bedroom and equally small bathroom wondering why was I here!! The best bit was going to bed in THE most comfortable bed with THE most incredible sheets and duvet I have ever been between. Absolutely wonderful and life could not get any better surely? Well, it could because I was up bright and early into the shower!! Once I worked out the screen that controlled every facet, I had water coming from a huge shower head like a tropical downpour and also six each from two sides and did not need the hand held one!! Temperature is controlled by degrees . Incredible and apparently recently fitted!! Lovely continental breakfast served in the dining room overlooking the lake and hills opposite completed a very good stay of incredibly good value for this country. Why not give 5 stars - taxi rip off and luckily it had stopped raining long enough for me to make my way - downhill - to the station and the awaiting Glacier Express. Amidst all the riches and splendour of the ghost town that was St Moritz , this was a diamond!!
