I haven’t stayed for over a year
As always this has to be one of the best pound for pound hotels in the uk

First time I have stayed there hotel is beautiful and peaceful surroundings. It was a break for me and my wife as my mum passed 10 days ago and we wanted a break.
Nice big room shame no bath, only problem we were near the staff exit and heard noise till late and very early in the morning. I complained to receptionist and we have a discounted rate next time we stay.
Staff all very helpful and friendly.

Had my 70th birthday here my favourite hotel since my daughter got married there 18 yrs ago . a surprise party with my family it was amazing from start to finish. The roast beef dinner was amazing and the large Yorkshire pudding should get an award for the chef Barry that made them. The two girls serving us amazing attentive from start to finish in the private room my family hired. Nothing was too much trouble . A perfect day finished with an overnight stay in a spa bath room and presseco chilled in the room to ietfection. A perfect 70th with great memories made xx

We visited for Sunday lunch which we have previously been and the food was excellent with a service unbeatable. Unfortunately at the last visit we were disappointed. The meat was somewhat tough and ordered mash potato at an extra cost. This never arrived, trying to find the attention of the waiters was impossible. The food overall was ok at best, portion sizes have reduced. The puddings looked amazing however they were frozen and tasted as such. We opted at our choice to skip the starter but would be charged for 3 courses. We paid in total £67 for 2 Sunday lunches and frozen desserts which did not reflect value for money. We left feeling disappointed and did not reflect the standard you would normally expect.

We attended a wedding on the 27th September and I can honestly say it was the best experience ever, the room was a standard room and it was fantastic, the staff was so brilliant couldn't fault it in any way. I would highly recommend it enough. To all the staff that work there you excelled yourselves, I would love to come and stay with you all again and can I say your breakfast was amazing.

There are not enough words that can describe the way this venue conducted our wedding. When we booked two years to the day we married we fell in love with not only the ground but the staff we met along the way. The day before the wedding we were tended two with the upmost respect and importance. We were made to feel like the most important people in the hotel before and after the wedding. The wedding its self was perfect and we could not have asked for a better day, the staff attended to everything we enjoyed are day because we didn't have to think about a thing. The venue its self is beautiful and the staff worked tirelessly to ensure everything was perfect for us, which is was. We could not have asked for a better day or better lead up to the day the Weddings team were there answer any questions and make changes to our day, even when I was making changes 2 days before. The staff from the waiters to the operations manager treat you as part of the family not just as a paying customer. The master of ceremonies explained the day to us and even 10 minuets before the weeding was checking in to ensure everything was perfect. I am unable to describe how proud I was to have had our wedding at Mount Pleasant and we could not have asked for a better team or venue. We have visited the venue since our wedding and the team still treat us as if we are apart of the family and not just paying customers. I would like to give this venue 1000 starts but 5 start service.

We’ve just had a perfect wedding at the Mount Pleasant hotel, the whole experience was superb. My new wife and I stayed in the Taitinger spa suite, which was superb. Many of our guests stayed over and they all commented on how spacious and clean their rooms were. The only slight downside was noise in the corridors during the night which bothered some, but we weren’t affected. The food and staff in the restaurant are both of a high standard. We noticed that this hotel doesn’t seem to be affected by a lack of staff, which is something that seems to be commonplace nowadays. That really makes a difference to your experience. The wedding experience at this hotel was perfect and we would recommend it to anyone thinking about booking their wedding there. Paige, their wedding coordinator is excellent, as are all of the staff who work efficiently to make your day so special. Ross in particular was also excellent and although the hotel hosts many weddings they still managed to make ours feel special and unique. The whole day went seamlessly with fantastic food and service throughout. Thank you so much, we will be back!

Everywhere was clean, hotel room etc. Food was nice. Went on a tribute night good singers music everyone seemed to be having a good time, people on our table were friendly .Would recommend and visit again especially on the music nights, hopefully again this year.
