Hotel 4 bintang Bayeux yang Popular

The Novotel in Bayeux is a good basic hotel. The location is easy to get to and a great base from which to head out and explore. There is more than ample free parking. The rooms are well appointed for the price. There is a nice and clean little swimming pool in the back, and a surprising amount of lawn. Very relaxing. The high point of our stay was definitely the staff. All were friendly, courteous, and very professional. The manager was very responsive when my wife brought up a minor issue. The breakfast is very good, and we were surprised that we didn't have to pay for our 14 year old son. About the only downsides we encountered were the somewhat careworn look of the hotel, and the limited dinner menu. These are minor issues though. Overall I would recommend this hotel and I would certainly return.

We booked this hotel because it was in a château and it looked romantic and unique .However there were many details lacking overall. Firstly avoid the restaurant at all costs even though the three course meal was only €29. The food preparation and quality was terrible. Please see attached photos. The salmon I had was overcooked from frozen salmon and the greens were likely frozen greens that were boiled to mush and no longer green. The risotto was just rice coated in some weird cream and had some tasteless pieces of chicken slapped on top. We did not finish the food. They clearly also need more staff as our receptionist was doubling up as a waitress, and we noticed that there were some waits and gaps in service. The room was compact and clean, but the details were lacking. For example, the fixtures and appliances were the cheapest variety possible and didn’t match the Luxe feel that the hotel is going for. The location is slightly out of town and a 20 minute walk to all the main sites in the old town. The grounds were tidy and very pretty in photos.

We booked Hotel Le Lion while in Bayeux, after a terrible experience at Moulin Morin (where we had initially booked 3 nights together with our friends). As we were on vacation, there was no point in suffering more than one night, so I looked for other options. From the many choices in Bayeux, after a careful analysis we chose Hotel Le Lion and it was the best choice! I felt sorry we didn't choose well in the first place and waisted money, time and ruining the vacation mood on Moulin Morin. By comparison, Le Lion was worth every penny. I felt sorry we had to live after 2 nights, but we had a plane to catch. To sum up: Large, beautiful room, very clean, water and coffee machine in the room, also Dyson Cool in the room. High bed, very comfortable mattress. All the staff was very professional, even better than at some 5 * chain hotels. It exceeded my expectations and I have high standards. Excellent breakfast, very diverse choices of cheese, meat, bread, sweets, a wide variety of fruits (from cherries to dragon fruit), almond milk. We booked the dinner at La Table du Lion one of the evenings: excellent food, impeccable service. In the morning, apart from breakfast, in the reception there were croissants and lemonade. At the reception desk we received very good recommendations for things to do in Bayeux. Excellent stay, overall!!

Very good hotel with reasonable price and will come back next time !

The hotel has a convenient downtown location, with friendly staff who are helpful with directions. However, I recommend avoiding the junior suite or rooms with triple beds, as these only come with accessible bathrooms that have no separation between the shower and toilet, causing the entire floor to get wet. In our room, the handheld showerhead came apart when adjusted, and the shower gel dispenser in Room 1 was broken, so we had to remove it to use it. This is the first time in ages that none of us took a shower during a hotel stay. We considered switching hotels but it was already late, after 10 pm. The breakfast was average, lacking fresh fruit such as oranges or bananas. The rooms are carpeted, contributing to a damp smell and a feeling of stuffiness. There is no water dispenser for water , the kettle was dirty and still had water left over from previous stay - gross ! Would not stay here again , not worth the price overall. On the positive side, the hotel has a fantastic location in the town center, within walking distance of the cathedral and restaurants, with convenient parking nearby. For navigation, avoid Google Maps or Apple Maps to look for the hotel as it will lead you down a way that is not drivable , and instead look for Place de Québec, which will lead you to the back of the hotel and parking area. Parking is free from 7 PM to 9 AM. Unfortunately, we got a $25 parking ticket for picking up our car at 10:15 AM, but we considered it a donation to the Bayeux City Council. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and there’s a charming library with a wonderful collection of books, including memorable photographs of the city during and after D-Day. The hotel also boasts great central AC, which adds to the comfort of the stay. There is a carrefour grocery store right next door though it closes early . Note restaurants here in town close early around 10 pm . The staff is very friendly and helpful - they gave us bottled water when asked at night. They can fix the place up by cleaning rooms more thoroughly after each stay .

This is a bike friendly hotel that comfortably accommodated our group of 22 cyclists. Excellent location on a quiet side street but still very central, It is true that some of the upper floor rooms lacked adequate hot water but hopefully this will be fixed when they renovate the upper floor rooms. We really liked that there were only 2 floors with nice wide stairway so it was easy to get bags upstairs. As well we appreciated that even thought it was not yet October 1st, with the cold weather they had heat operating in the rooms so we could get cosy and warm after a chilly bike ride. And as mentioned by everyone: very nice breakfast and super helpful reception staff. We will return!
