Dongfang Shengda Hotel (Beijing Tiananmen Square | the Forbidden City|Wangfujing Subway Station)

Excellent location especially to shopping area and metro station

The hotel is very new and has plenty of amenities. The staff was pleasant, the food in the restaurant was good, but the best thing was the location - it's right next to the subway station and Wangfujing Walking Street. You can walk to the Forbidden City and get to all the other main attractions of Beijing in 15-20 minutes

The staff keeps recommending expensive tours and restaurants where they can earn a commission. The staff keeps asking and pressuring you for a good review, even before you have seen the room. After checkout, they will ask to 'help' you write a good review. The towels are changed, but the floor does not get cleaned. They are not there to help you, they are there to earn more money from you.

Very happy with the hotel , we stayed for family holiday for 8 nights (3+3+extend 2 nights) , big TV, great location. Clean n quiet room. Will refer to friends who are going to beijin for holidays Staff are extremely helpful even with our taobao order . Thumb up

Very nice hotel, good location, very close to Fobidden city and good breakfast

Breakfast was good and versatile and the staff were polite. Hygiene could be better and the elevator ends on the seventh floor. Our room was on the eight and we had to carry the luggage, which was a big setback for my mother...

close to cbd stations and lots fo food around. but located in a small alleyway. lifts only go to level 7, if staying level 8 need to walk up stairs.

This hotel was a wonderful surprise! We selected it based on its convenience to subway station, approximate location to the Forbidden City, and a vast selection of restaurants and shops. The service was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We couldn’t thank them enough for their hospitality and assistance in helping to resolve our dilemma with the loss of a passport. We also enjoyed the cleanliness of the facility, modern amenities of the guest room such as the AI room control and robotic room service. The family size room was a bit small though. There is not much room to move around. Perhaps it’s due to the fact that real estate is outrageously expensive in Beijing. The only improvements needed was the staff need to understand that when the room was put into “Do not Disturb”, they need to leave the room alone. Also, the shower door needs better seal so that the water does not overflow into the bathroom. We would consider staying here again if we were to return to Beijing next time.

The location of the hotel is very near Line 1 and Line 8. Walkabout distance to 天安门and故宫. Many malls around the neighbourhood. Hotel facilities is new, and receptionist is very friendly.
