Ulasan Mutianyu Great Wall Hotel

The hotel upgraded us to a bigger room! The staff are friendly. We ate at the only restaurant. The hotel is within walking distance to the Great Wall. Very convenient. The entrance tickets was free as we stayed at the hotel! It is worth RMB20 each. The Tobugan tickets were bought at the ticketing window. It is easy to call for Didi to Wangfujing which cost about RMB200.

Superb, very convenient!! 5 mins walk to cable car entrance or trekking route to Mutianyu great wall. We are very pleased that we stayed here. Huge & warm room, delicious foods.

No doubt, love the hotel and room. Been upgraded to Family room, superb. Nice people especially staff Zhoe. Not just he helped me to book taxi to go to Nanshan Skii Resort after check out but also offered me his personal Black Tea. As the hotel only provide Jasmine Tea and I din drink that, was asking if hotel provide black/red tea instead. He din have to offer his but he did anyway. What a great hospitality, thanks! No doubt my preferred hotel if I were to go to Great Wall Again! Thank you!

We had a fantastic stay at Mutianyu Great Wall Hotel. The location is perfect right in front of the entrance to the Great Wall attractions. The room was big and it had great views to the mountains. The staff was very friendly, they processed our tickets to the Great Wall (included in the room) and the tickets for the cable car at discounted price. Totally recommend for families.

This hotel is a great place to stay after a day at the Mutianyu Great Wall. In fact, I would highly recommend to stay a night at the Great Wall rather than simply doing a day trip. During the day, the Wall is packed, but around 4:00, all the tourists are gone and you can have the last couple hours to yourself at the wall. It is incredibly serene and provides a much more enjoyable experience to the packed time during the late morning and early afternoon. Because so few people actually stay overnight at the Wall, the hotel was almost empty on a Friday evening, so they gave me a room upgrade. The hotel is right at the base of the location that the Mutianyu slideway exits, which is a really fun way to come down from the Wall at the end of the day. The hotel also provides free admission to the Wall as part of the stay. Great experience overall!

It's all about the location. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the cable car entrance or the footpath taking you up to the Wall. Booking into the hotel means that you can drive all the way up to the hotel and parking is free so you don't have to get on the shuttle bus. You can visit the Wall by night which is more much comfortable and less crowded than during the day. Alternatively, as you are right at the entrance you can get up early and avoid the crowds. You can buy tickets for the cable car at the hotel (CNY20 each) and entrance to the Wall if you're walking up is already included in your room rate. The hotel itself is spread over a number of buildings and there is a decently maintained kids playground in the complex. The reception staff were very helpful when it came to getting tickets and so on. Rooms are basic but big enough and clean enough. Breakfast was typical for a hotel at this room rate. Overall, excellent value and with the playground and how easy it is to visit the Wall, a great choice for families. Lots of steps between the buildings, so bring a couple of small suitcases instead of one big one.

Arrived in the late evening and got a upgraded to a family room to our surprise! Excellent service, staff go out of their way to help you here despite language barrier. 5 minute walk to the Cable car and the car lift is directly opposite the hotel to the Mutianyu great wall. Very well located if visiting Mutianyu as hotel is right at the entrance to the Great Wall. Staff upgraded to bigger room since it was low season and not many guests. Warning that during the winter season, there are not many lights outside at night after 6pm and the only restaurant that is open is the one in the hotel. Otherwise, the stay was enjoyable.

Great location nearest to the ticket area. But you can get tickets directly from hotel reception and use your passport to enter the gantry as well as ride the cable car. Decent food at the restaurant. Nice playground for kids including 3 slides, 2 small trampolines and many swings. Rooms are clean and spacious enough. Hot water is nice. Enjoyed the night scenery at the great wall.

The best hotel! Convenient with easy access to great wall and helpful staff who kindly brought hot water for us in the cold weather! Upgraded us too. Room was nice, comfortable and clean! There is nothing for us to fuss about! Worth the stay and I would go back again if I going mutianyu great wall again! I enjoyed myself very much and wish to stay longer! The cats are cute too!

Great and convenient place to stay in mutianyu. Very nice staff and clean rooms. The hotel is extremely close to the main entrance of the Great Wall.

This hotel is absolutely amazing if you want to spend longer than a few hours at The Wall. It’s nestled just at the bottom of the cable car area. Despite not speaking English the staff went out of their way to help us and service was great. We had two young kids with us and the hotel is super family friendly. The playground is awesome! Food in restaurant was wonderful and we would recommend this place to anyone. The only issue we had was that our didi (taxi) refused to take us any further up the mountain and left us 1.5 miles away due to road closures for CNY - so we had to get an unexpected shuttle bus which was a faff - it would have been great to know about this prior.
