Ulasan Lemeng Hotel (Beijing Houhai Drum Tower)

Very good hotel, the room was very nice and clean. The only thing missing was to have a fridge in the room. The surrounding and courtyard was beautiful. Thank you for a great stay!

location was good as u can access to few of the attraction spot by walking. Subway station is just 5mins away by foot. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Magnificent hotel that puts you really into the Old BeiJing mood. Could not have been nearer to a subway station. also very convenient as some bars are there and a supermarket. Rooms are just the size needed, nice beddings and bathroom. you can sip a tea and relax in the courtyard...maybe XiaoBai their little white cat can greet you with some purrs

We came from Beijing airport by taxi to the hotel. The entrance to Lemeng hotel is situated behind Manxin mansion drum tower. So if you are coming by taxi to the hotel, don't miss the side entrance in the first image. We selected the courtyard comfy room. The bed was comfortable, cozy and the hotel was near line 8 metro which was convenient for exploring the city.

I booked this hotel as I thought it would be nice to stay in an authentic old Chinese hotel. It is indeed an old hotel and the rooms have obviously been upgraded and equipped with a great shower and very comfortable beds. HOWEVER be warned that if you expect peace and quiet you will not get it. The walls and windows have no noise reduction whatsoever and the neighboring guests were not noisy, they were going about there business like opening the zippers on their suitcases, switching on and off lights, chatting. Every sound can be heard from the room next door, I kid you not. ALSO, be careful about the room you chose, the smaller rooms have a king size bed which although very very comfortable, almost fills the room completely, two people cannot pass between the bottom of the bed and the wall on which is a 50+” screen TV, much too big for the small room and completely unnecessary in my opinion. I have 3 for cleanliness as I had to ask for something to be cleaned off a wall in the bathroom, I think the less said about it the better however other than that the rooms are clean and the bed linen and towels are spotless. There is no breakfast served at the hotel so other than asking for the room to be cleaned there was no service to talk about but I’m sure it would have been good had we needed anything else. I will never book an old authentic Chinese hotel again as the lack of sound proofing is not worth it.

Really lovely courtyard hotel. Very close to Guloudajie station. I booked 2 boutique rooms but we had to change one of the rooms as they are extremely small. It's ideal for one person but if you are 2 or more with luggage I recommend going up a room size. Rooms were clean and staff extremely helpful. Price was a little high but would most likely stay again.

Excellent location for exploring Beijing, especially the hutong. Staff were friendly and helpful. If you want a hotel to relax in, this may not be the best choice, but it provides a quirky courtyard experience, good local food options nearby and is a super base for a Beijing break.

房間很乾凈！小而精緻，一個大人帶一個小朋友過來住挺好的！床很舒服！服務員很熱心！看外面下雨幫我們領着行李一直送到房間，還給我們配了一把傘！院子裏的建築是文保，有花園，有石碑，幽靜且舒服！全是一層的房子，不需要爬樓！挺好的！就是晚上外面走動會有聲響，隔音不是很好，老房子都是這樣。但是挺涼快的。老建築就是這個好處，人字頂的房間。交通出行真的方便，地鐵出來走幾步就是酒店了。去哪裡都可以的。下次來北京還會來的！相比隔壁漫心，我還蠻喜歡這裏的。有院子！不壓抑！附近走不遠的地方就是菜市場那邊一家早餐很不錯。小籠包混沌很好吃。稀飯油條豆腐腦，品種很全！
