Great hotel and services, however could do with more amenities such as basic toiletries and slippers or bathrobe. Was surprised that it was not included in the deluxe room and was only available for a more expensive room which makes no sense because it’s suppose to be a 4 Star hotel. Other than that everything was great. Friendly staff, cleaned regularly and were super helpful. Had breakfast on the first day, it was okay, could be better with more variety.

When we checked the room there was little cleaning done. Cigarette’s just lying behind the pillows of the sofa and there was a MAGGOT in the bedsheets. Major cleaning improvement needed.

We always stay at the Clayton when visiting Belfast, but I have to say this trip was disappointing. Firstly the bar, not only have they hiked the prices up, it was comfortably the most expensive bar we visit all weekend. Secondly the pool closure… between our booking and our arrival the pool had closed down.. this was not communicated to us and we even arrived at the spa, with our young daughter, to find it all closed up. Reception staff, we dealt with 2, one was very helpful, the other quite the opposite. Cleanliness, our room wasn’t cleaned properly on our first night (bathroom bins full on nappies (in sacks) not emptied and breakfast plates left). Room service glasses and plates left in to corridors for half the following day (not great when travelling with a toddler). All in all, the hotel has gone downhill since our last visit and we’ll most likely stay else where when next in town.

Stayed in a twin room on 3rd floor. Room was craving some love especially bathroom. Toilet bowl was cracked and bottom of bathtub was showing some mold . It was quite noisy outside as the windows couldn’t be closed tight due to worn closets. Informed front staff at checkout and they didn’t seem concerned . On a plus note the lobby bar/restaurant was spacious and modern- check in was simple and smooth

Gentleman on reception desk was exceptional. Offered to organise food for me as just missed the dining room closing by about five minutes.

Lovely hotel with a warm welcome and great atmosphere. Within walking distance of everything you need. Being central I was worried about noise, however I couldn’t hear anything whilst in the room which was great. Very clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again when next in Belfast!

The manager Paul Stafford was excellent and helped us a lot. Issue is parking They gave a code to use on checkout of the UCP but couldn’t talk to them so couldn’t apply code so had to pay full price £35 for 36 hours or so
