Hotel Best Triton

We met a friendly staff and good service. We think it is a perfect location for sun and swimming! Good breakfast and dinner-buffet. In-and outside bars with or without sun, according to what you prefere. A lot of local shops and restaurants nearby. Bike rental across the street!

Arrived 2nd January, 10 night stay. Family of 3. Easy check in at 1pm. Room ready at 3pm,so luggage left in storage. Twin room 1245 above the restaurant. Nice marina/sea view. Very noisy room with the dining room below. 2 twin beds not very big. Spacious rooms, nice balcony, large shower. Big hotel, like a maze. Lots of seats everywhere, tables, cabanas. Beach front access is great. Entertainment poor. Drinks prices overall good. Great staff. The only negative would be the temperature of the food, even when it's come out fresh, it's only look warm. Microwave was needed. Food option and quality was rather good. Very corporate/old saga atmosphere. All in all we had a great stay and would consider returning in the future.

Arrived on Boxing Day for 5 nights. The hotel is in a great location near the beach and all amenities. We found our room to be spacious but the dining room was chaotic. Some food was cold. Especially at breakfast. Our holiday was ruined as on the Sunday night we had our phones stolen from the hotel. We went into panic mode and went straight to reception. 2 members of reception were helpful but most, including security couldn't really care less. Apparently it was logged and sent to the Director of the hotel but haven't heard anything . To say it was a nightmare is an understatement. We just wanted to get home and sort bank and phones out. Be careful and put everything in the electronic safe provided in the room.

Review as Family Travelling with Two young children (3 and 5 years) This is a fabulous hotel. I don’t think it particularly advertises itself as child friendly hotel, per se, and indeed most of the clientele out of season, are older, as to be expected. But I felt it important to explain why this is a perfect choice of hotel for anyone with young children. 1) the rooms have two double beds - perhaps not a major thing for others but if, like us, you start the night in one bed and always end up separated with a child apiece, then both having a comfortable sized bed is a must. No one draws the short straw then as to who will have to sleep on a pull out bed! 2) indoor swimming pool - is huge, well heated and clean. Really important if coming with little ones as really, unless you’re travelling in the high season, most pools are too cold. Having the covered swimming pool meant it didn’t matter what the weather was doing (although it was glorious when we went) we could always take the kids swimming. Major advantage. I think it’s worth noting there are actually two indoor swimming pools, I think this was a little confusing having read the reviews. One is in the spa which you have to pay for. We didn’t use this. There is also an entirely separate indoor heated pool which is free to use for all guests and children can use it the entire time it is open, without restriction. 3) lovely outdoor play area with slides and climbing frames - clean, well maintained and well equipped. Also children’s splash pool. A little chilly for us but plenty of children still in there in November. The water isn’t unbearable and it’s nice and clean and well maintained with fun slides etc. There were also lots of lovely Bali beds dotted around which we found to be readily available, in shade or sun, perfect for an afternoon snooze with the kids. 4) there is a kids club which is mostly run by a really nice young guy (didn’t catch his name but he was lovely). He really made an effort with all the children which was lovely. This has a soft play inside (not huge) but certainly enough for a few hours of fun in the morning. There are also crafts and things laid out for the children to do which was great. I think in low season this is open from 10.30 to 12.30 every day. I think it is an option to leave the kids there but we didn’t and didn’t see any others doing it either. All parents accompanied their children here. Might be different in high season. 5) location - right out the back of the hotel is a gate and you are then on to the main promenade and after that onto the beach, this was just perfect for us. It means no issues with managing the buggy as all flat to walk (once down set of steps from the gate) or because such a short distance had the option to leave the buggies behind as easy walking distance for little legs. Beach is lovely and has nice soft sand. In easy walking distance to the marina as well. 6) lots to do in the area for children and lots

Arrived just after 1pm to be told our room wasn’t ready to come back at 2-30 which we did to be told by someone else that it can take up to 4pm we finally got to our room at 4.05 lovely room looking on to the little Square at the back of the hotel hotel is very big now but what a difference so many sun beds to chose from didn’t matter what time you went down always got ion we stayed B&M which suited us we got a lovely surprise knock on the door on the 3 rd day of our stay with a plate of fruit and a bottle of cava has a good will for our trouble of our room and being ready which I thought was really lovely of them then 2 days later came back to our room to another fruit and cava for my husband birthday staff all lovely and friendly the sky bar is only for premium guest but after 6-30 all guest can use it the views are amazing all ready booked for next year than you hotel best triton for amazing holiday

Just returned from a 5 night stay at Best Triton in benalmadena. On arrival the hotel looked fabulous, amazing views of the sea and very picturesque. The reception area was immaculate with loads of seating and gorgeous views. We were checked in by a lovely lady on reception who gave us directions to our rooms. We got lost trying to find it. The hotel is very big with not many lifts so it was a bit of a walk to our room on the 11th floor. When we got to the room we were very impressed. We had paid for a partial sea view and it did not disappoint, the only obstruction to the sea view was part of the hotel building but view was still fantastic The room was lovely and clean with a huge queen size bed, large walk in shower and decent size balcony. There is a safe that can be set with your own code. There was no telephone in the room, not sure if there was meant to be, so unable to contact reception with any of the issues we encountered without making the journey down 11 floors. There is also only 1 small bathroom bin which is annoying , we ended up filling plastic bags and using them as bins. There was air conditioning which was switched off on arrival, so we turned it on as it was nearly 30 degrees outside and very warm on the 11th floor. After an hour or so there was a horrific smell coming from the air conditioning unit that smelt like sewage. We turned it off and told reception who said they would look into it. Nothing was done. We tried the air con again later that evening and again after an hour the smell returned leaving us with an uncomfortable and unpleasant night. This went on for the duration of our stay and when we told reception they looked at us like we were stupid nd said they would send someone to look but this never materialised. This really ruined the experience of our holiday as it was like staying in a sewer. We were bed and breakfast during our stay so went down to breakfast in the morning. The dining area was extremely busy and it took us a little while to find a table to sit. There are huge queues at the coffee machines and the coffee and tea were not very nice. The food was not to my liking but there was plenty of choice. We decided to eat out after trying breakfast there on 2 occasions. Pool areas were nice and access on to the beach is great. The only issue is that nothing is really signposted so we kept finding ourselves on various paths leading to places we didn’t need to go to. With the hotel being so large it definitely needs more signposting and definitely more staff.
