It is a classical garden in the south of the Yangtze River. It was built during the Jiajing and Wanli periods of the Ming Dynasty, covering an area of ​​more than 30 acres.     This is my second time to visit Yu Garden. I have always liked its exquisiteness, uniqueness, changing scenery and clever design. Yu Garden has a different flavor in the rain. It is very interesting to sit in a corridor and watch and listen to the rain. The only problem is that there are too many people and it is too crowded.

  • 28 Januari (Malam Tahun Baru): Ditutup
  • 29 Januari - 31 Januari (hari pertama hingga ketiga bulan lunar pertama): 9:00-15:30 (tiada masuk pada 15:30, taman ditutup pada 16:00)
  • Dari 1 Februari (hari keempat bulan lunar pertama): taman akan menyambung waktu operasi biasa dari 9:00 hingga 16:30, dan kemasukan akan dihentikan pada 16:00.
Untuk bekerjasama dengan Pesta Tanglung Taman Yu 2025, dari 21 Januari hingga 12 Februari, cuti (termasuk Festival Musim Bunga dari 29 Januari hingga 4 Februari, Pesta Tanglung pada 12 Februari) dan setiap Jumaat hingga Ahad (kecuali Januari (kecuali 26 Februari dan 7 Februari), Pintu Selatan Taman Yu (No. 279, Jalan Lama Yuyuan, di bawah Jambatan Sembilan-Keluk) akan ditutup selepas jam 14:00. Special mention to 袁欢 whom helped me find a suitable room for my family and I with upmost patience and eagerness. The view in the bedroom was great as the windows are full length. Breakfast had various options too. I visited the Epicure at 45 to be surprised by the astonishing 360 view of Shanghai. You get to experience such fine dining while enjoying the scenery around you. On a Tuesday night, we got to visit the bar on floor 47. Accompanied by jazzy tunes from the pianist and singer, I enjoyed the vibe-y night. The hotel gave me a positive experience; family-friendly and comfy. This hotel is so~~~~ great. I am so touched by their service. Best Shanghai hotel ever. Those people at the front desk were fantastic. They even provided free Yu Yuan tour with guests. I have to thank so much to Jerry. He helped every thing for us. Very considerate and delicate service. He should be the global best hotelier!!! Location is very good. Right next to the Bund and Yu Yuan, both short walking distance. Don't worry if your room doesn't have a good view since in the 11th floor common balcony, any guests can have a beautiful view of the Shanghai Tower and the Oriental Pearl Tower. I loved their breakfast as well. The lady who checked in for my family for the restaurant was so great. I forgot her name, but maybe Camela. I really appreciate you! 1st floor bell crews were so kind as well. I definitely want to come to this hotel again. My families Shanghai visit was much happier because of these people. If I come again, I will stay with them. Thank you and miss you, everyone.

As a five-star hotel, both the service and facilities are quite good. I've always heard that Westin's family rooms are great, and I got to experience one on this trip to Shanghai. I won't go into detail about the good aspects, but I do have a few suggestions: 1. For a family room, there actually aren't many kids' amenities, just a few stuffed animals. For example, a step stool could be provided in the bathroom for children. 2. The sink in the bathroom constantly accumulates water on the inner side. I'm not sure if it's due to the countertop's angle or something else, but I hope it can be adjusted. 3. The toilet paper holder in the WC is too far inward, making it inconvenient to grab paper. If you pull hard, the roll might fall off. Moving the holder forward, reversing its direction, or moving it to the right side would all be good solutions. Overall, I hope Westin continues to improve as a high-end hotel. I look forward to experiencing it again next time!

We stayed here for 3 nights while in Shanghai and enjoyed our time there. The location is excellent ( walk right out onto Nanjing Pedestrian street) The staff is welcoming and friendly. The hotel is clean and the room was spacious! Check in was a breeze. We opted for the family room and it had a separate living area and bedroom. It was super nice. We had a view of Nanjing Rd and heard zero noise from the bustling road below us. They provided complimentary tea and coffee in the room along with a mini fridge filled with various items ( drinks, beer, water and chocolates) They provided a safe, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, slippers and robes. It was my sons birthday they day we arrived and they sent a cake to our room:) I had mentioned that in the booking along with a request for a view. Both were obliged :) The breakfast was excellent with a ton of options ( both American and Asian cuisine) There is plenty of seating and great views! The concierge was fantastic! They arranged a riverboat cruise for us and an amazing massage for my mom and I. The spa was great and we had the most relaxing massage. The spa staff was fantastic and so friendly. They even took us in very last minute without issue. Though it is separate from the hotel- they gave a fantastic discount for being a guest there. Our stay was a 10/10 and I would stay here again!!

I had booked 2 nights of Elegant Twin Room upon the recommendation of my friend who stayed here previously. The room was spacious for 2 person with all the amenities. Location was convenient. The Nanjing pedestrian street was mere steps away. The Bund was only 10 minutes walk. But car still able to stop in front of the hotel for pick up/ drop off. Staff was efficient and polite. No issue with breakfast (the steamed rice roll with prawns was yummy). I would like to give a shout out to staff Chen Na who helped us extend our check out timing as my aunt was not well. Helped with Didi booking and generally warm and helpful. Will definitely stay here again

I recently stayed at Swiss Hotel in Shanghai, overall, I had a positive experience. The hotel is Situated in a central part of the city near some landmarks such as the Jing’an temple. There are cafes, malls and restaurants walking distance. The room and common areas were decent and tidy. My room 819 was spacious and well illuminated with a nice view. The hotel has a nice spa with steam room, sauna and jacuzzis and also a swimming pool. Gym is medium size well equipped. breakfast is included with Asians and western options. The internet connection was good in general.

First off, since the hotel is located on a pedestrian street, taxis can't drop you right at the entrance. You'll need to navigate after getting out. Actually, the hotel is in the Heping Business Building, right next to the Peace Hotel, which makes it easy to find. The overall decor of the hotel rooms is quite nice, with a touch of old Shanghai charm. The space is also ample. The location is perfect; it's a stone's throw from the Bund and not far from the Nanjing East Road subway station. The staff were polite and friendly. The breakfast was generally good, especially the bread and pastries, which were better than at the Shanghai Mansion.

He patiently answered all my questions and even offered thoughtful recommendations for sightseeing and travel. His professional and attentive service made us feel incredibly welcome. My mother had always wanted to visit the InterContinental Shanghai Wonderland, and we finally made it! Our whole family, young and old, came along. **Room Experience** We splurged 2200 for a room, which was upgraded to a 2900 Sapphire room (room number 808). It was right in the center of the hotel's curved facade, offering an excellent view! However, the room was very dusty. Dust kept blowing out of the air conditioner, and there were a lot of bugs. The moment we stepped onto the balcony, we saw all sorts of insects, and there was even a dead fly in the sink – quite disgusting. The hotel service was also a bit odd; they put a bottle of shampoo by the sink, and I assumed they mistook it for hand soap. Check-out was at 14:30, which was a nice bonus! **Dining Experience** We ate at three different restaurants over four meals. * **Fisherman's Wharf:** We had lunch here. They only offered set menus, 698 for two people. My husband, our child, and I shared one. It only included salad, soup, steak, and yogurt. The taste was mediocre, definitely not worth the price. It's the kind of place you visit once in a lifetime. It was slightly better than the one at Atlantis. * **The Source All-Day Dining:** We had the dinner buffet, 698 for two people. Children under 120cm were free. Honestly, there wasn't much to eat. My child had some sashimi and a few skewers, while I ended up eating a bowl of blanched greens. It would have been better to order takeout. * The **breakfast buffet** was definitely worth it. They had many live cooking stations: made-to-order omelets, ramen, Jianbing Guozi (savory crepes), and a station for blanched vegetables. * **Cai Feng Lou:** We had lunch here on our second day. There were various awards displayed at the entrance. We ordered a special lobster, cod, and some vegetables. I thought the cod was decent, but overall, the dishes were quite salty. However, this was indeed the best restaurant in the entire hotel. They even gave us a free dessert because they forgot one of our dishes. The bill was over 800 for three people – the best value for money! I also ordered takeout twice! You have to go to the hotel entrance to pick it up yourself, which is very inconvenient! I highly recommend takeout from Songjiang University Town – it's delicious and affordable! **Travel Photography** Booking a session was very difficult. They called me the day before, and the only slot left was Sunday morning at 9 AM. We got three free photos and a video. The shoot lasted 20 minutes, as we had to rush to breakfast. The final photos were good, and the editing was quite exaggerated. No one would guess I weigh 170 pounds! Coming to Shanghai, I specifically chose the Pagoda Hotel (Fudan University, Shanghai Branch) that I've been eyeing for a while. I booked the Deluxe Family Twin Room for four people, and the experience truly exceeded my expectations! First of all, the hotel's location is fantastic! It's right in the Wujiaochang business district and KIC (Knowledge Innovation Community), next to University Road, which has a ton of trendy restaurants and cafes. In the evening, we went to a folk bar nearby, and it was a wonderful experience. It's also super close to Fudan University; we even took a walk on campus in the morning, which was lovely. Back in the room, it was incredibly spacious, absolutely not cramped for a family of four. There were two large beds, plus a tatami mat that could be used for sitting or lying down. We had tea and snacks on it during the day, and there was plenty of space to move around. The smart room control system was so convenient; a simple voice command could open or close the curtains and turn the lights on or off. Through the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, we had an unobstructed view of Wujiaochang's city skyline, which was truly expansive. The hotel's service was also excellent. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the butler even asked about our accommodation preferences in advance. There's also a free self-service late-night snack bar after 9 PM, which was a pleasant surprise! The mini-bar was complimentary, and all the in-room amenities were well-stocked. Plus, food deliveries were brought up by a robot, which was both convenient and private. The hotel also has a gym and a laundry room, which is incredibly thoughtful for families with children, allowing us to wash and dry clothes anytime. Finally, a quick reminder: hotels in Shanghai typically don't proactively provide disposable toothbrushes, but you can always ask the front desk if you need one. However, this is a minor detail, and overall, this Pagoda is definitely worth recommending, especially for family trips – you can't go wrong with it!

I stayed at the Hyatt House Shanghai Hongqiao CBD and found it to be a very solid choice, especially for business travel. The location is excellent, situated directly opposite the railway station and the airport, which makes onward travel extremely convenient. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing everything needed for a short business stay. The staff are friendly, helpful, and efficient, which adds to the overall positive experience. Breakfast is perfectly adequate and does the job well. For business trips in particular, or if you need to continue your journey by train the next day as I did, this hotel is a very convenient and comfortable option. Overall, I had a good stay and can definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately, when I asked the front desk if they offered a luggage delivery service, they weren't clear and said no. For a major city like Shanghai, there really should be more diverse services to make travel easier for us.

I've found a real gem in this modern tower. The hotel occupies floors 15 to 18, and the reception is a 10/10 – the staff are super friendly, they offer coffee, tea, and little pastries, and there's also a very comfortable coworking area. The rooms are like a small studio with a kitchenette: microwave, washing machine, dryer, a full-size fridge, and plenty of closet space. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable, and the shower… wow! The water pressure is amazing, absolutely wonderful. The door is floor-to-ceiling, so steam from long showers doesn't escape into the rest of the room. The sink area is a bit small, but it's fine for one or two people. Special mention: the magnifying mirror and the Japanese toilet – a real luxury that I really appreciated. We were so comfortable that we ended up extending our stay by 3 more days. The only downside: the metro is about 1 km away, maybe a bit more. But the value for money is so good that what you save on the hotel easily covers a taxi ride. From now on, this will be my go-to place in Shanghai. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be back.

M&M's, LEGO, and the Bund are just a short walk away. It's incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and taking the subway. The area downstairs is lively, but we didn't find it noisy. However, if you're sensitive to noise, I recommend asking the hotel for a higher floor room in advance (their highest is the 6th floor). ⭐ Room: Small, but Clean The room isn't very large. After placing two suitcases and a stroller, it was pretty difficult to move around. One unique feature: the sink isn't inside the bathroom; it's right by the entrance on the right. If this bothers you, you might want to reconsider. We specifically asked the hotel staff, and if you want a larger room, they suggest the family room. The main differences are the location within the hotel and the size of the desk. If you're traveling with kids, I honestly recommend booking a family room directly. As for cleanliness, it was impeccable: · Towels were replaced daily, and they were the individually packaged, disposable kind. · A cleaner came to tidy up every day. · Water bottles were replenished daily. The hot water and air conditioning worked perfectly, no issues at all. ⭐ Service: Truly Worth Mentioning This was the most surprising aspect of our entire stay. We don't have Chinese phone numbers, and initially, we were worried about ordering food delivery or making purchases. However, the hotel staff were incredibly proactive in helping us. Not only was their attitude excellent, but they genuinely solved our problems: · Helped with food delivery: They used their own phones to order meals for us directly. · Helped buy a suitcase: On one occasion, we needed to buy a suitcase, and a supervisor named Ruan (阮) even used his personal account to order it for us. This level of service goes beyond ”basic courtesy”; they were truly dedicated to helping guests. We arrived at the hotel past 1 AM, and the front desk quickly processed our check-in without any issues, even though we were using passports. Luggage storage was also smooth: On the day we went to Wuzhen, we left our large suitcases in the lobby. They tagged them, and we simply picked them up upon our return. There are many surveillance cameras throughout the hotel, making it feel quite secure. ⭐ Value for Money: No Breakfast, No Restaurant, but Location and Service Made Up for It This hotel doesn't offer breakfast or have a restaurant. While there are many dining options downstairs, the hotel itself doesn't provide breakfast. Considering the price, the location, and this level of service, it was very reasonable, even exceeding our expectations. --- ✅ In Summary If you want to stay near Nanjing Road and can accept a slightly smaller room, this hotel is definitely worth considering. Especially if you're traveling with children and don't have a Chinese phone number, their service will give you great peace of mind. However, for family trips, I recommend booking a family room directly.

At first, I thought it was a bit far but once I started to explore, I appreciate the location as it is set away from the crowd but very walkable. About 10 mins walk to the LV iconic ship one way, 10mins walk or thereabouts to West Nanjing Rd Butterfly Cremarous in another direction and if you head off in another direction, about 15mins to IAPM mall. The service was great. The girls were helpful with our Taobao packages and also when I wanted to order food delivery. Self washing machine and dryer were easy enough to use. Cleaners really kept the room tidy. Some construction when we were around end of May 2026 but not too bad. As with most places in China, you will have random smokers inside but our room did not smell of smoke so that's a RELIEF! Another minor negative was the bathrobe was in tatters but that was only the 1st day out of 4 nights stay Also at times, food delivery person could deliver to your room even though you need card access. Worth nothing though I haven't felt unsafe. I actually like the room layout, felt spacious and also probably the only hotel where I have watched so many movies.
