Hotel berhampiran Gallery Marianne Skjelbred, Bergen

The location right next to the harbour in Bryggen is great. However I was disappointed with the service. On one day, our room didn't get serviced. No reason why. We had to go to reception to get coffees, soap etc. For a large chain, fairly expensive hotel, I would expect servicing of rooms to happen daily. I didn't find reception staff to be particularly friendly either. The hotel is large, corporate and a bit soulless. I prefer the smaller chain hotels that have a family feel to them. I probably wouldn't book here again.

역에서는 좀 멀었는데 수산시장 바로 앞이라 좋았어요 방도 쾌적하고 넓었고 슬리퍼 있는게 좋았네요 냉장고 없는건 좀 아쉬웠어요. 저녁 맛있다고 해서 잡은거였는데 퀄리티가 진짜 별로였어요 무슨 수프에 샐러드 요리 하나 있고 그마저도 별로 안 남아있고.. 연어 무한리필이라고 들었는데 절대 아니에요

酒店離碼頭很近，這邊有些遊艇、觀光遊船停靠。在往對面走就是布呂根木屋碼頭，那邊再往上走就是Floyen山觀景台，可以坐纜車上去看風景。卑爾根是個多雨的城市，但是我們在的那兩天都放晴，可以逛一下週邊的小巷，非常有山地城市的感覺。酒店老闆很熱情，還特意跟我説我是來自很遙遠的國度，並歡迎我們。碼頭旁邊有魚市，可以品嚐新鮮的海鮮，貌似價格不便宜，我們打包了一份甜蝦和三文魚回酒店，也可以在附近超市購買半成品。

The hotel provides a wide selection for buffet breakfast, bed is comfortable, and location is perfect, just 3 mins walk from the train station. I arriv ed before check in timing 12+, they arranged me early check in without extra charge.

I chose Scandic because I have had good experiences in the past. However, this stay has been quite horrible. After a long journey to the North Cape and back again, it was important for me to get a good night's sleep before the journey home to Denmark. Already when I/we checked in, many young people arrived with full plastic bags with clinking bottles and large speakers in tow. I wondered, but thought maybe they should go ahead and have a party. I was completely wrong there. The party was held at the Scandic hotel from early evening to early morning. There was running in the corridors, shouting and screaming, banging on pipes, doors slamming continuously, and there was partying and noise that only really drunk people can make. I and others contacted reception who unfortunately could not deal with them. I also think that one or two receptionists cannot handle 20 maybe 25 very drunk young people. In the morning told the young female receptionist that when they complained about a room, the party just moved to a new room. She was very kind and apologized many times. Friendly and sweet service. Immediately, I think that the police should have been called if the party didn't stop. Me and my 2 fellow travelers were refunded DKK 400 for our rooms... But honestly, I think it would have been appropriate to give us the full amount back. Never before have I had such an experience in a hotel.

The very sweet lady (Ms. Marha?) on the reception upgraded our room as well as gave awesome recommendations for nearby bars and clubs! The hotel itself was clean, and the breakfast spread was out of this world!

The hotel concept is nice flashy & flirty for youngsters. Impressed !! Room was nice but bathroom was cold no insulation like other hotels. Water in the bathroom was not consistent sometimes it just becomes cold. Cleaning of room was not that great. Plastic glass jn the toilet never changed in 3 days we stayed Hotel restaurant was good. Liked · The hotel is almost new and modern. The self-check-in desk worked fine for us, and we liked it. The light rail stop is behind the corner and it’s easy to reach the city. You have two supermarkets around, a bakery and a fast food local. There's also a restaurant inside the hotel sharing the ground floor, where you can order your breakfast etc. The room was nice, especially the sitting area on the window. Disliked · Citibox is actually a basic hotel, what its name says. Maybe we've expected a bit more. No TV in the room, no safe, no teapot and no refrigerator. Instead of it you have a proxy kitchen on the ground floor and it can be pretty full sometimes. There you find a microwave, teapot, shared fridge etc. There are lockers and baggage room for additional cost. The mattress on the bed is soft and comfy but the pillows are hard, it should be matched together. We stayed here 4 nights and didn't get even one room service, your room get full of waste quite fast, this is the reason for overall score reduction. The breakfast is really poor, not worth the price one pay, don't take it. Kind of bad idea to activate the elevator with the room card if you're carrying a coffee or a hot teacup from the kitchenette.

Stayed for a weekend at this hotel with my family. My wife, myself and a 2 year-old. First impression was excellent. Nice standard, spacy rooms, well equipped, and so on. Nothing to complain about regarding the room standard. Breakfast was also fine, plenty of things to choose between. It was only when we returned the next night our complaints arose. We arrived by car in the hotel garage, with a sleeping child. Already in the garage we heard the noise from the party/event upstairs. The only route from the garage to the hotel rooms was to make our way through the bar and the ongoing party. That is poor planning of infrastructure in my opinion. Of course our sleeping child awoke to the excess loudness of the music, and we had to «snake our way» through the crowd of loud and drunk people. We eventually made our way to the room, and even though it was situated at the third floor, the noise was ever present in our room (our room was even facing outward, not toward the core of the hotel). Don’t know if that’s because of ventilation or because of the architecture of the building (which leaves the roof open over the reception/bar area all the way up to the top floor). So even though a lot of things at this hotel is done adequately, this second night experience (and thereof lack of sleep) ruined our stay. We certainly feel that it was not worth the money, and wouldn’t recommend it to families (at least not when the hotel is having events / during weekends). (In all fairness: we didn’t make a formal complaint to the reception as it was not an option to opt for a new room (arrived late, and packing and moving with a tired toddler is not optimal). And neither did we see any chance of the hotel shutting down an event due to a single complaining customer.)
