The room is amazing. Spacious and clean. The overall hotel area is also well kept and food is also readily available.

Great as always!!! We had to check out and check in again, but everything was fine.

The hotel facilities are comfortable and well-equipped, providing everything a traveler might need during their stay. The location is excellent. Although the waterfront area is reserved for boat mooring, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island is within walking distance, where you can even spot sharks and sea turtles. The staff are outstanding: always friendly, cheerful, and able to create a very relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant offers a varied menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the dining area boasts incredible views, making every meal a memorable experience.

I would say the service is improved and much better when compared to last year 2025. I enjoyed staying here, great location and the family room type is comfortable for 2 people because of big bed. However the room no. 611 there are 2 times issues because of the main door broken and got locked from inside, also the bathroom door as well got locked inside because of the door slide.  The foods as restaurant is decent and good potion, a little bit pricey for service taxes 10% and another additional taxes more 8% which mean after your meal you must pay 18% taxes.

Ferry ride 40mins RM80 return, parking RM10 per car per day. Hotel has its Own pier. No swimming pool. Room comes with a small safebox, kettle, fridge, 4 bottles of water (can refill near reception area), 4 towels and 1 floor towel. Beach towel and umbrella can be asked from reception. No tissues and no packet coffee. Nearby trees got lots of bats, less mosquitoes. Restaurant food charged 8% SST and 10% service charge. Spaghetti was not nice, beef was a bit smelly. The rest were tasty. Can walk to a few hotels to dine breakfast lunch or dinner. Most accept tngo and cash. Snorkeling RM60pp (see the price list).

Warm welcome, very responsive, I recommend 1000%, the staff was top-notch, to eat no need to go any further, the restaurant of the barat is more than enough, you can go there with your eyes closed

wonderful stayed. this is my 2nd time staying at The Barat. It will be my 1st choice of Accomodation at Pulau Perhentian.

The location is good, just a few minutes to a great beach (PiR). + The staff is good, early check in is available if the room is ready. Cleaning is on demand. Water every day. The room is cheaper than the others. - very small and stuffy for 4 people. The air-conditioner seems to work but it doesn't really cool the room

No soap. Toilet blocked. Shower drainage blocked. Chairs outside the unit broken. Room was pretty rundown. Poor value for room rate charged. Overall: Disappointed

Ok hotel although the room price +100€/night) is very expensive for what it offers, you can find better deal elsewhere

I would like to thank the management of the Barat For organising a cake for my daughter on the 16th birthday and a big thank you for upgrading us for free to top floor with sea views which were unexpected, you made our holiday even wonderful .thank you from the bottom of our hearth for you kindness..and I would like to thank the whole of the team for being amazing Loving people. We were very delighted at the ease of bookings for our stay, speedboat transfers, scuba diving and snorkelling trips. The moment we arrived at Besut Jetty, they had their team to facilitate parking of our car and efficiently got us on the speedboat as it was raining earlier and might rain again in the afternoon. By the time we arrived and checked in, our rooms were ready, cleaned and smelled fresh too contrary with all the reviews I’ve read recently especially when it comes to peak season. All the amenities were there and functional. Even my city kids were impressed as they’ve stayed at other island resorts before. The ambience at night was very lively at the restaurant, friendly flying lemurs and squirrels, tasty variety dishes from the restaurant, fire show, swings by the beach. The recreational centre such as the kayak, snorkelling and scuba diving can be better for the premium rate that they are charging. Warning: check every calculation carefully as they have this NO REFUND policy. I would suggest for rental of games to make family holidays more fun on days when it is raining.

This resort is a gem on the island. It’s nothing fancy but clean, staff are friendly and provide a proactive service to guest. It is in a good location and offers snorkel trips, diving, beach towels and water taxi’s to get around. The restaurant service is good and they accommodate requests (making small item changes to dishes).
